Okay so, feel free to fact check me on this, but Nam-gyu had a debt of 300 million won, meaning that after, I believe Mingle, he could’ve voted to leave, but Thanos still had a large debt.

Disregarding all shipping here ofc, I really do believe that Nam-gyu cared about Thanos, and that’s why he still voted O after Mingle and continuously tried to convince Min-su to vote O as well. But then the bathroom fight happened, and as we all know, Forkus Maximus made an appearance in Thanos’ throat.

Now, at this point, Nam-guy’s got no real reason to stay anymore. His friend is dead, he already has enough won to pay off his debt, so what real reason could he have to stay?

Well for one, he most likely doesn’t have an actual home to go back to based on his lack is backstory. That’s another possible factor to his decision to consistently vote O.

This is just a theory, but I think that that in season 3, he’ll vote O at first in some attempt to still feel this happiness he had when he was playing the games and taking the drugs alongside Thanos. But Thanos is no longer there. Someone that actually made him happy was no longer there.

And so he starts voting X. Nothing to go back to except for some debts needing to be paid, but he still refuses to die in there. It’s too late of course, as the games continue on.

Also I swear to god, if Nam-gyu dies in a stupid way I will actually laugh before I start crying. However, I do like the theory that he accidentally dropped the cross necklace and reached down to get it, but was way too disoriented that he fell over and died.

Additionally, if Nam-gyu doesn’t have hallucinations of Thanos and/or a valid crashout I will actually riot (/hj)
