Headcanon; Commander Dabi

The L.ea.gu.e of Vil.la.in.s has high interest in the regime of New Gi.lea.d--not because they believe in its cause, but because they can climb the ranks and use this new world to take over.

-The LOV operates largely in secret, and are spread out over New Gile.ad. Some are operating in what's left of Japan in rebel-controlled areas.

-Dabi still goes by Dabi, and was easily able to infiltrate New G.ilead's ranks because despite his weakness of his quirk hurting him, the Commanders took high interest in how powerful and destructive his quirk could be.

-He still has every intent of ruining his father's life and reputation, but is going about it far differently by planning to become a high-ranking Commander before revealing himself.

-All his paperwork is forged for the sake of keeping his true name hidden. He's murdered several people who've come close to exposing his true identity and bribed or threatened many more.

-He regularly visits Jezebel's, both for business and pleasure purposes. He considers it a perk of the new world to be here.

-The main thing stopping him from being as socially powerful as he could be is that he lacks a Wife. He hasn't found someone to marry yet. The only reason he wants to is for the power of it; he doesn't care about falling in love, a dowry, or kids.

-He's planning, or expecting, to have at least a few kids and plans to leave them solely in the care of his Martha/s. He doesn't plan to love or care for them; they're just a means to an end on his quest to climb the ranks and eventually get back at Enji.

All of these are basic ideas and are subject to change and open to suggestions!

//Depends on the AU. Generally I'm not huge on them but they can be fun! I've played around with soulmate AUs before (Some of the prompts I've seen/heard of are really cute and cool) and obviously I have my H.an.dma.id's Ta.le AU which ngl I should dust off now that I'm back and figure out where to place Dabi in New Gil.ea.d. Season 5 of THT is low key a trainwreck tho I'm still invested gdi.

"Nor should you, for injuries that minor. Good job on not breaking any bones this time, you're getting better about that," despite how intimidating Mr. Aizawa came off as, he knew students needed to be given credit where it was due, even for small things.

He relaxed his grip on the cat and gently stroked it, "I'll get this one to a vet in case her injuries are worse, then maybe she can find a home." He wasn't about to just throw the poor thing back out into the streets.

//Since I'm reconnecting with some of ya'll and I feel bad, I might as well tell you why I went poof for half a year. Long story under the cut and recaps some of my initial post. Don't worry, I'm okay now and nobody is obligated to read this, but if you were curious, here you go.

//I have Diss.ocia.tive Id.en.tity Dis.ord.er and a cocktail of other mental problems that come with it. No it's not a cringey Ti.kTo.k fad, I was formally diagnosed almost a year ago after two years of living knowingly with my alters and a lifetime of not knowing what the hell was wrong with my brain.

//Naturally, I've got a lot of trauma and a year ago, I started having really nasty flashbacks to previously-repressed trauma that I'll spare ya'll the details of. The flashbacks were so bad, one of my alters effectively took over at my job for a few weeks because it affected my work performance. This spurred us to go to the doctor, get diagnosed, get meds, and as of a few months ago, getting into E/M/D/R which has been slowly helping.

//Then, I fell into a really deep, dark depression that just got worse with every passing week. I lashed out at someone I love and felt so guilty, I handed the keys to one of my alters who I call 'Other Me' who is now basically in charge of our life. She had trouble adjusting which lead to me abandoning this blog for a while.

For just a half-second, Izuku felt like pulling away to keep the cat out of anyone’s reach, but that was Aizawa. Izuku quickly relented and let him examine it.

“No, just some bruises, and I think I split one of their lips,” Izuku said, still unable to make eye contact (moreso than usual). He focused on the little scrap of fur in Aizawa’s hands instead. “Um- They were doing some ‘quirk practice’ and… I mean, they freaked out when the cat got hurt so I don’t think they meant it, but still…”

Mr. Aizawa gave a frustrated sigh. That was no acceptable behavior from future heroes! He tried not to let his bias towards cats get in the way of thinking of an appropriate punishment, should he find out who these students were.

“Meant it or not, it’s not ethical or rational to attack something that’s helpless. Animal or otherwise,” he gently lifted the kitten and examined it as best he could, shushing to keep it calm, “you did the right thing, Midoriya, and you didn’t break any bones this time. Do you need to go to the nurse’s office?” He looked Izuku up and down, examining the extent of the damage.

“Well, I know a lot of people who sell lots of things? Or at least, I know people who can acquire things? I didn’t think it was weird.” It was weird to go to your underground exotic pet dealer, Noburu. “So I just kind of bought them? Aizawa was pretty upset though.” 

“Oh man, that’s kind of awesome,” very weird indeed, but now, Arisu was fascinated, “but, weren’t they expensive? And what’d you do with them after? Also, where did that person get poisonous snakes from?” Now she had to ask Mr. Aizawa about it, too. If anything just to see how disgruntled he’d get.

Open Starter

Flavorant always did her best to make her lectures as interesting as possible, and it made her feel good when the students before her appeared engaged and were actively taking notes, even though she knew it was largely because they had to.

"...So as you can see, many turn to villainy as a result of poor upbringing, as well as flaws in our own society which leaves them feeling trapped. Heroes are not born; they're made. The same is true of villains and criminals, even the really scummy ones; they are made, but sometimes, they can change," she gestured to herself, "for me, it's no secret I wasn't like you kids, going to a prestigious hero school. I was an addict, and I did some pretty villainous things because I felt like I had to just to survive. It wasn't until I was arrested and went to rehab that I got a fresh start. Sometimes, that's all someone needs; a little mercy and fresh start. After a good thrashing, that is. Any questions?"

Upon seeing a hand go up, she called on the student raising their hand.

"You, go ahead."
