Maxie rolled his eyes. “I am perfectly capable of handling a big buffoon like you. I am not helpless in the slightest” He huffed.

❝Please, last I recall you’re still recovering from two injuries correct?  You aren’t capable of doing anything. I almost feel bad for you. It must suck being so helpless.❞

“I am fully capable of dealing with you myself.” Maxie huffed before making his way over to the larger man.

❝Tsk, fat chance. You’re a minor inconvenience at best.❞ He averted his eyes from the Team Magma leader as he continued the search around the room. ❝Are you going to get rid of me yourself or do I have to wait around for your mutts.❞  

“What’s wrong Archie? Afraid of little old me?” Maxie said in a teasing tone, smirk spread on his pale features. “Me? Hunt you down? I think you are confused. Seeing as you are in MY base”

In which I disappear into the trashcan for a good week or two. I swear I’ll dedicate more time to this douchebag, I’ve been occupied on Gigapause goofing off while school finishes up.  If there’s anything I need to reply to please tell me.

They were so easy to irritate, so hostile. Archie forgot how much fun it was picking on people like that. He didn’t doubt for a minute that Tabitha would follow through with the threat. With that being acknowledged he curled his lip into a grin doing as told. It was such a thrill receiving this kind of reaction. Archie was glad that pissing people off was still his forte.

❝Easy there little guy, cool it down with the temper. You don’t really wanna hit me. That would cause way too much negative attention for you. Well I mean, even more negative attention. Assault is a very serious thing Tabitha, I don’t want you to embarrass yourself now. ❞ Way too fun. 

The time he takes to respond gives you gratification, but you give no sign of it as you stare him down. The moment his arm’s around you, however, your entire body locks up, and it takes all of your self control not to do anything.  You absolutely hate being touched. “–Listen here, pal.“

“You have exactly two seconds to remove your arm from my person before I break it, friend.” You practically growl, crimson eyes locked on to him in a death glare as one of your hands curls up into a gloved fist. Plus, he’s disrespecting your leader? Sure, you all fucked up, but Maxie’s trying.  All Archie’s trying to do, is piss you the fuck off. And it’s working.

God, what an ungrateful piece of shit. It took all the power in him to refrain from losing his cool right there. Archie really thought he would have more patience than this. It was almost embarrassing how many fits he was throwing mentally right now.  ⊰ He still has the nerve to treat you like you’re nothing more than the dirt below his shoes. ⊱   Never mind that though, he could play this game. Very not so subtly he snaked an arm around Tabitha’s shoulder. Friends did this kind of thing, it was totally normal. Just bros hanging out doing their own thing. All was forgiven after all. 

❝Right, right Patricia, Tabitha. Whatever your name is, that’s not important. Listen I don’t want there to be any hard feelings between us, I know it was your oh so brilliant leader’s fault everything happened. It’s really nice that you’re sticking with him through thick and thin though, he must be dealing with a lot right now. He really looked like a fool out there, I kinda feel bad for him.❞

While it’s downright annoying to see the Aqua leader at all, it’s always bound to happen when you visit the Lilycove department store. In fact, you also tried to ignore the guy, but lo and behold; Archie comes practically trotting your way. Crimson eyes lid halfway in an open display of disinterest, and when he speaks to you, your lip curls in a sneer to display a couple jagged teeth. “Not really.” You answer indignantly, rolling your eyes a little as you straighten out your coat, albeit a little proudly. So what if your team’s reputation is in the gutters? All of you are working overtime to redeem yourselves. It’ll obviously take time, but it won’t stop you from happily retaining your nigh-constantly sour attitude. It’s late in the afternoon, but the sea breeze cools the shoreline city somewhat nicely. “How unfortunate for you, too; I happen to enjoy shopping here. It’s not as if we’re about to just hide ourselves underground and ignore what happened.” Actually, that’s what everyone’s been doing. Oops. “Also, my name is Tabitha. I would prefer if you used it, please.” See? You’re being civil. And if he doesn’t think so, he can suck a fat one.

The last time Archie saw this guy he was on the verge of dying because of a Seviper’s poison. Archie kind of freaked out. Just a little bit. That being said he didn’t really contribute much when it came to helping the Magma leader out. Don’t get him wrong he didn’t want Maxie to die or anything, it was just so sudden.  And that’s the reason why he went through hell and back to sneak into the asshole’s hideout. To simply check if he was okay or not. What he didn’t expect was to be caught red handed by him. Archie’s ego was way too big to flat out give the real reason for being here. He would never grant Maxie the satisfaction of seeing him get empathetic.

It has been seventeen hours, thirty two minutes and three seconds (counting.) Aside from a shower break and a snack pause Archie has been spending the whole day at his desk brainstorming just what the hell was going to be his next big plan. The obvious ideas were already written down and underlined.   「⒈) Make banners promoting the care of aquatic pokemon      ⒉) Take part in community service that associates with the ocean      ⒊) Awaken a God      ⒋) Impending doom unfortunately                                                      」 Haha yeah fat chance. That bridge was crossed. Kind of. Sorta. He’d be lying if he said the thought hadn’t crossed his mind sometimes. Archie knew it was wrong, those thoughts shouldn’t be occurring again but they were. At least this time he could blame it on lack of sleep.  He needed to get his head out of the gutter, maybe someone could cheer him up via socializing. So instead of telling Matt the real reason he called him in here was because he was two more ideas away from flipping this desk over: He substituted it with stating that they needed to do some catching up. ❝I really missed us just hanging out you know?❞

There was probably still a bit of tension between the Team Aqua leader and Team Magma. Not exactly bad tension; just awkward. Words were exchanged, apologizes were said but it still felt out of place. Well on his end at least. It didn’t help that he made it his goal to avoid the group whenever possible. (That included conversations when the incident was brought up.) He had been so careful, of course out of all the people he could of ended up running into from that group it had to be the ex(?) admin himself. (Hell, Archie didn’t even know if they completely disbanded or not.) It was already too late to pretend he didn’t see him at this point, they practically made eye contact. Eye contact was a very big deal.

Somehow a single, woolly red sock made it's way into the Aqua laundry. Now the white stripes on all the grunt uniforms are a rather fetching shade of cotton candy pink. How lovely.
