Is Smallcase a Good Investment?
Tumblr media
Truth be told, every investor wants to know how to manage their shares effectively, but few individuals know how to find trusted advisors, act on their advice, and/or could afford a service that can handle parts of the investment process for them in a sustainable way.
Are Smallcases a good investment?
Many complex asset allocation mechanisms and solutions are emerging as financial innovation approaches a crescendo on a global scale. Smallcase, a bundled investment product made up of stocks and ETFs, is one example of such a tool. Financial experts with years of experience pool securities based on predetermined themes or concepts.
Everyone who invests wants to know how to manage their shares successfully, but few people have the knowledge to locate reliable advisors, follow their recommendations, or have the financial means to hire a firm to carry out certain aspects of the investment process on their behalf. Exactly that is what smallcase provides. Touted as the investment vehicle intended to bring portfolio management services (PMS) to a large number of investors who had been abandoned at the door, Smallcase is a disruptive financial instrument, to say the very least.
What is a smallcase?
Smallcase provides a user-friendly platform where everyday stock market investors can either put together a portfolio of stocks and ETFs, by themselves or invest in pre-prepared packages created by a multitude of financial advisors.
Each smallcase by TejiMandi combines a portfolio of tactical bets with long-term winners to ensure optimum returns.
Do take a minute to check out TejiMandi’s exclusively handcrafted smallcases – The Teji Mandi Flagship and The Teji Mandi Multiplier – that we have put together with careful study of the markets to fetch you index-beating returns.
Are Smallcases a good investment for you?
1. You have a greater-than-average understanding of stock investments.
2. You have designated purposes from your investment portfolio
3. You have already allocated corpus in existing traditional investment structures and are looking for more specific, riskier assets.
Smallcases can be a wonderful alternative for people looking for managed services to diversify their stock portfolios and seek better returns. Although there are certain factors that an investor should keep in mind, smallcases can definitely give mutual funds and ETFs tough competition as the concept evolves. A long-term mindset, though, is imperative for success. Read more about is smallcase a good investment

Features and Benefits of a Smallcase
Tumblr media
Investors seeking returns that outperform the index must navigate uncharted waters, conduct in-depth fundamental analysis, evaluate the role and competence of the management, envision the potential of the industry, and finally select a company. For a working professional or entrepreneur, that is too much work. Well, Smallcase has made the entire procedure simpler.
Investing in what you eat has been one of the long-prescribed and advocated investing strategies. Buy Britannia shares if you enjoy their biscuits. Purchase Nestlé stock if you purchase Maggi (a Nestlé product).
These specialised businesses have historically provided investors with large profits. These specialised businesses, meanwhile, can also be inconsistent and turbulent. Investors seeking returns that outperform the index must explore uncharted waters, do in-depth fundamental research, and evaluate the management's position and capabilities, and more. When testing by the Food and Drug Administration of UP, India, in 2015 found that Maggi had more lead than was allowed, Nestlé's stock price fell by 9%. Individual equities, including those of specialised businesses, are thus not risk-free.
For investors looking for index beating returns, they have to charter unmarked territories, conduct extensive fundamental research, analyse the role and capability of the management, picture the potential of the industry and then choose a stock. That is too much work for a working professional or entrepreneur. Well, smallcase has simplified the complete process:
There are four types of smallcases:
(i) Asset Allocation Portfolio – A combination of large-cap equities, fixed income instruments, and gold.
(ii) Smart Beta portfolio – It focuses solely on large-cap companies.
(iii) Strategic Smallcase – These are established investment strategies biased towards mid and small-cap stocks.
(iv) Thematic Smallcase – These are theme-based smallcases, e.g., Electric Mobility
Curious to know more about the different types? Read our article “Types of Smallcases” on the TejiMandi Smallcase Blog.

Which Smallcase Is Best for the Long Term
Tumblr media
The stock market has gained a lot of investor interest after the COVID-19 pandemic. It is one of the best alternative sources of income. A stock market investment, however, is no child’s play. In most cases, investors lack the knowledge and research required for this. Furthermore, tailoring a portfolio to specific needs requires even more patience. This led to the introduction of an investment tool: a smallcase. Even though investors can opt for a small or long-term Smallcase as per their needs, the smallcase is more suitable as a long-term investment. Let’s first understand what we mean by a smallcase.
What is a Smallcase?
A smallcase is an investment tool containing several portfolios based on different themes or strategies that investors can choose from depending on their needs. Themes can include real estate, health, technology, and more. A vital element of these portfolios is that they are made using algorithms and weights by SEBI Licensed Experts’ Advice. In other words, investors don’t need to research individual stocks from multiple stocks and yet get a customised portfolio prepared by experts.
Some pros of investing in the Smallcase are:
· Ownership of the individual stocks in the investor’s Demat account
· The advantage of a ready-made portfolio without the hassle of researching and analysing different stocks.
· There is no restriction on selling. Smallcase, with its rebalancing feature, assists the investors in selling at the right time. Unlike mutual funds, there is no automatic reinvesting.
· There is no cost of expense ratios like in a mutual fund.
· In addition, smallcases are generally built as long-term investments. So, it helps to cover all the subscription costs and other expenses an investor might incur before investing in smallcase.
· The smallcase works on the concept of value investing. Therefore, only those stocks that add value to the portfolio will be included, and the rest will be dicarded. Investing in this way will allow investors to outperform the market over time.
· Finally, investors can create a Diversified Portfolio at a low cost to control themselves and maintain over the long term. This helps in growing their wealth steadily.
Which Smallcase Is Suitable for the Long Term?
Teji Mandi Flagship Smallcase
· The Smallcase offers its investors a portfolio combining 15-20 short-term and long-term stocks, all from Nifty500. With the addition of short-term stocks, investors benefit from liquidity through this smallcase.
· Its 1-year CAGR stands at 75.72%.
· In case of negative news in a sector or an unfavourable situation, the smallcase will immediately exit those stocks. This smallcase aims to build a stable and liquid portfolio which are the critical factors for a long-term investment.

Omicron: Decision needed at national level on booster dose, says Maha Dy CM
Tumblr media
Amid the scare from the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday said there is need to take a decision at the national level on whether a booster dose of the vaccine is required to curb the pandemic.
Speaking after paying tribute to legendary social reformer Babasaheb Ambedkar at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar here, he said information available showed that those who had taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had also got infected with the Omicron variant.
Is booster dose required then? We have doses available today. There is a need to take a decision at the national level in this regard I think. There are different opinions about it. So, it should be told why it needs to be given or why it shouldn't. Only experts who have researched it (the infection) can talk about it," Pawar said.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the state administration are keeping a close tab on the current situation, the senior NCP leader said. Read More

Qualcomm leans into cameras, gaming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform
Tumblr media
Qualcomm Inc on Tuesday released its new top-tier smartphone chip aimed at premium-priced Android phones with features like sharper photos and graphics than handsets using chips from rivals.
The San Diego, California-based company is the biggest supplier of the chips at the heart of many Android phones, competing against rivals such as Taiwan's MediaTek Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, which uses Qualcomm chips in some of its phones but self-supplies chips for some models.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip released Tuesday will have similar computing cores to rivals like MediaTek, which this month announced a chip aimed at premium phones. But almost every other part of the chip are custom designed by Qualcomm, including those playing a role in the visual quality of photos and graphics-intensive apps like games.
Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager of
mobile, compute and infrastructure for Qualcomm, said the company has been crafting software that will let handset makers tap deeper into those parts of the chip. Read More

Covid-19: Why the WHO designated Omicron a variant of concern
Tumblr media
The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that the B.1.1.529 lineage of Sars-CoV-2, thought to have emerged in southern Africa, is to be designated as a variant of concern (VoC) named omicron. This decision has already precipitated a broad shift in priorities in pandemic management on a global scale.
The WHO has recommended, among other things, increased surveillance, particularly virus genome sequencing; focused research to understand the dangers posed by this variant; and ramping up mitigation measures, such as mandatory mask wearing. Greater restrictions on international travel have already come into force in the UK and many other countries. Indeed, Japan has closed its borders to all foreign visitors.
The speed with which the omicron variant was designated a VoC was dizzying. A little over two weeks passed since the first known infections in Botswana and South Africa. Contrast this with the delta variant that is currently dominant in Europe and many other parts of the world. This variant was first reported in India in October 2020, but despite causing a tremendous surge in cases in the country (as well as spreading to many others), it did not receive the elevated status of VoC until at least six months later.
