I can’t remember the last time England played this badly. Look like they’ve never played together before. Walsh is invisible, Stanway clearly still working back to fitness, Carter struggling massively, Bronze having a mare, Mead disappeared after the disallowed goal. James at least looks promising but I’m also doubtful about her fitness.
I genuinely didn't know Keira was playing. Georgia and LJ just got back and I'm very surprised they both started, I was expecting Chloe and Tooney, or even Grace. Bronze has been done since the World Cup and I am so very very sorry, but I have never rated Jess Carter.
They've had all this time to train up Charles and Le Tissier and just haven't. Are we missing Millie? I don't know. But were we missing Leah at the World Cup? I still don't know. The two work well together, but Greenwood just excels as a CB now.
Are we missing Earps? I think yes, even just for experience. And are we missing Fran? I'd say yes, for experience too. But I do understand why Fran has retired.
