Been a hot minute but I am still working on this. College has just been kicking my ass and my Trolls obsession has just been festering
I have the general story down just need to thread the dots correctly for it to click
Good news is that with major help from @spotty-is-slumberous I have the naming system down
The overviews for the Guilds are getting to near completion and I just need to do some finishing touches on The Splinterclaws so I can post them
I’m also gonna post info on toyhouse
I am open for questions about the world so if ya’ll have any send them

Right so the naming conventions
The original plan had been a base on the roman naming system but with my own twist, a base name, mother’s name, and last notable ansector
Ex: Jay Nutcracker Daisy
However, I realize that this method might be a bit much so I thought of something else somewhat based on Rainworld names
Guild folks get a base name after its clear their not gonna die, then after being promoted
They earn a name that typically has something to do with skill but it can be with other attributes.
So we have names like Sharp Eyed Jay and Swan Diving Jackdaw
However, at their base, they have a name and a name of their family such as Splattered Ink and Hazing Squid having the family name of trail
It isn't perfect but I'd love to hear ya’lls thoughts on this

Still doing the strike but trying to get my shit together
Didn’t really like the scorched thing anymore mostly because didn’t want the fire connotation of warriors to remain since that doesn’t really apply
So scorched paths -> Shattered Paths
#jasper speaks#still working on the naming conventions#I have one in mind but I’m still unsure#I’ll share after the strike#shattered paths#xenomoggy

Still doing the strike so this is all I'm posting
A small request I ask for after giving it more thought for what I'm trying to do with this world and story.
Any of ya’ll have any unique naming system ideas or know any sites for em, could you send them my way?
Originally I just had the guild folks get a nickname at birth, a base name for older cubs + when they start training and when they get promoted they get a prefix or a suffix.
And I have the naming schemes for the other groups worked out already but the guilds are being difficult
The prefix+suffix system isn't the worse but the tie to warriors is too glaring to ignore.
Wanna find one that can work and sets the guilds apart from other groups in a striking way and my brain is not braining on the creativity plus anything I try to find myself doesn't really work with what I'm trying to go for.

The Sun
“The sky was bright but lacked fierce and delight, between her wars and worries she had always wondered why, only after the losses did she understand, after losing her eye”
Otherwise known as as A Warm Sun’s Ray
Described a medium sized feline with blazing fur and eyes as orange as a sunset.
Famously known for her conflicts with A Moon’s Glowing Beam in the Clash of Orbs. Both were left untamed and ran wild for centuries with no order, only blood.
He’s said to have curse Moon Beam’s followers and gave his followers a reward for their ferocity.
He lost his eye as did Moon Beam during the final battle. He did something unprecedented and with all his might launched it into the sky.
It glowed brightly, shining warmth throughout the land, his loyalists cheered him.
During the longest day, he’s said to bless good fortune on expecting parents and young cubs born during his light. The only time where cubs may be honored to be named after him (Dawn, Morning, Sun)
He is the deity of Fire, Ferocious, and Drive
Offerings: coals, burned wood, fangs of foxes

The Moon
"The sky was dark and gloomy, dim and dark due to all her games, after all the wars and losses, she desired to shine her light as penance."
Otherwise known as A Moon’s Glowing Beam
Described as a medium sized feline with fur white as snow and eyes as red as the bloodiest night.
Many stories surround this figure, the most notable being of the war between her and Sun Ray, The Clash of Orbs.
Xe’s said to have cursed Sun Ray’s followers and rewarded her followers with the gift of her eye for their service to her.
She gave her eye to the very skies she treated as xer playground, for her followers to thrive, the eye rose to the dark sky and it glowed.
They’re considered the final barrier between the dead and the starry skies. Ready to cast judgement alongside The Murk itself.
When her eye is at its highest, it’s said to be the time where spirits roam the mortal world, with Moon Beam’s watchful supervision, a weapon she used during the war stays with the mortals, a time of divine knowledge some could say, this is The Longest Night.
During the longest night, a time where pairs can be bonded, veterans and the deceased are celebrated and remembered, and only during this time where cubs may bare the name Moon or Dusk
She is known as the deity of the moon, streams, knowledge, and the night.
Offerings: moonberries, feathers of crows, ravens, nightjars, and owls.

The Mother
"She saw the world of emptiness and in turn, desired to fill it with perfection"
Other names: The Goddess of Creation
The creator of the demigods and the felines themselves.
Her origin is unknown but her mythos is the basis for guild history and some of its founding.
As The Creator, she gave a prominent trait of herself to all of the gods. They say the guilds and the predecessors before them were made in her image. Some say it was an experiment and others say it was part of her divine plan.
She is said to have every aspect of all the demigods of her creation. Said to understand every tongue and techniques known to feline.
The demigods first created by her were the Piercer then the Dropper followed after. Which is why these two seem to be the most common pelt that can be blessed by the folks more often the Piercer however.
To be named after the Holy mother herself (Rosette), is of the highest honor. These folks are said to be gods among the commons, blessings to the ranks and guilds they enter in. To deny them, is said to deny you are a guild denizen.
It is a very rare brand to achieve, only three denizens in guild history have gotten to be branded by the goddess.
Offerings: tufts of fur or loose appendages from other divine branded folks, teeth of bears

Welcome to Shattered Paths, formerly known as Trail of Flames.
While most stuff is from my brain of chaos and madness, this project also draws inspiration from (@troutfur, @bonefall, @cats-of-eden-valley, @ailurocide) as well as Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Lion King, and Warriors.
While this was heavily influenced by Warriors, I aim to provide a better narrative and handling of themes and characters.
Entry to the Path
Call me Jasper, I’m an enby trans man who uses he/they/it/xe.
This has been a passion project of mine for years and I hope you all enjoy the craft.
