a dark velvet cloak covered every inch of ji-hun. it hid his features just well enough for him to sneak out of the castle. his father usually forbid him from leaving their home unless absolutely needed to. there was too many dangers hiding in the shadows. yet, what was the point in being one of the most powerful creatures if all you did was hide in the shadows. maybe the scar that ran from the tip of his eyebrow to the bottom of his eyelid was a constant reminder that vampires weren’t invincible. his left eyebrow had a slit forever imbedded into it because of his scar. his dark was grown out long enough now to cover the scar from others. ji sighed as the pulled himself up onto his horse. he made sure to take off the royal family emblems. the night was quiet as he silently road through the country side that separated the village and the castle. his enhanced hearing picked up on a loud screech causing him to bring his horse to a halt. His light brown eyes now turning crimson as his vampire vision narrowed in on the sound. a figure moved causing him to jump down from his horse. “i already saw you. you can’t keep hiding,” his voice strong and steady as he let the hood from his cloak fall. “why are you here?” 

the banished prince was no longer the distinguished being that he once was. years of building his way up to his throne had went down the drain many years ago the day his mind went under the control of that dreadful witch. since his banishment though, noah had started to life a quiet and simple life. a cloak he had stolen from the castle when he left draped over his body, he wore plain dark clothing to blend in for when he left his hideaway to get food or to search for more things. he wasn’t exactly mindful of the fact that he wasn’t invincible at all, he just truly didn’t care. he didn’t have anything to live for anyways anymore. the respect he had lost no longer mattered to him, no more did he care of how he looked besides just being clean. he had managed to convince the peasant humans in a neighboring village that he was just born with a genetically sharp teeth and was able to befriend them so he could get supplies to survive for the while that he can. the loud screech the animal in his grasp had made caused him to throw the creature away. a frown left him as he wiped his mouth watching the creature stumbled away. just as he was about to head back he heard the sound of hooves. that wasn’t good. not at all. suddenly the voice made his skin crawl with how strong it sounded. someone really dared to try dominating him? his own hood fell from his head revealing the handsome features. noah came out from the shadows and glared down at the other, not realizing who he truly was. “why are you here?” he retorted back angrily. “i was hunting, what is your excuse?”
