Ep 9 Todd Reisz 2008 by dxb-kids Todd Reisz, architect and writer is our latest podcast guest. Reisz has served as the Louis I. Kahn Visiting Assistant Professor in Design at Yale School of Architecture and as a guest faculty member at Harvard Graduate School of Design. From 2012 to 2017, he was the Rose Visiting Assistant Professor in Urban Studies at Yale. At OMA, Reisz led the office’s first entry at the Venice Architecture Biennial (2006) and edited Al Manakh (2007) and Al Manakh 2: Gulf Continued (2010), two definitive explorations of Arab cities in the Gulf region. The JN remix has actually been completed for a couple of years. The reality of embarking on a remix album project like RWL is it involves doing 20/30 remixes, some of which will inevitably be finished before others and “in the can” whilst the rest of the LP is completed. Then all the remixes need to by cleared and licensed, which another massive hurdle that takes ages. Someone who is doing one remix and releasing it as a single can turn it around a release much quicker than a whole album.
