Why are some people so insensitive

It's so funny to me that dabi decided to play "guess who" with Shoto back at the training camp but conspiracy theorist Shoto didn't suspect a thing.

@villainsandvictimsalliance it's mostly a fanon thing. My interpretation is that given how he doesn't care about his body/is damaging it by burning anyway so I don't think he cares about avoiding smoking or drinking. Isn't addicted or anything but has it anyway when offered. Plus he spent alot of time on the streets. An escape from pain is always great, no? So I think he smokes, does weed, drinks whatever.

Infact, if you think about his first meeting with Tomura we see him directly insult the decay user. Dabi is an ass but it really also seems like he wasn't sober in that moment xD and often isn't.

Have we ever seen Dabi drinking alcohol or smoking in the manga? My memory is trash, so I'm kinda curious.
