What is the right price for added content?
Hello Friends,
This is a subject that seems to be my mind and the minds of many other game consumers out there as well as probably game companies. How much are we willing to pay and how much is it right to pay on top of that initial $60 investment? My simple answer would be, If you love the game who cares how much money you are spending on it? Last year Destiny developer Bungie and publisher Activision were in the hot seat with their pricing model for destiny. and to me last year not really liking the game and not really giving it a chance I truly felt like they were gouging their fan base for every penny. This also pushed me even further away from the game. So  moving forward now it is truly interesting to see them put in place the micro-transaction system that will replace the need to buy further DLC.
Now this method if it stays on course and does not fracture the player base and just sticks with selling only cosmetic emotes and such will be a good thing in the long run. But there are other situations that ask for that initial $60 and then ask for even more for a season pass with out even telling you what you’re getting for that extra game you just pretty much bought. The publisher here is asking for you to have a lot of faith in their product and hope that they deliver on what they have yet to show you. case and point of an utter let down in my opinion would be Batman Arkham Knight. They asked for quite a bit of money and have yet to fully deliver with the content, also the game is still unplayable on PC (but that’s another story for another time).
I guess in the end i’ll go back to my original answer of if you love the game, support it and show the dev your love. But keep them in check, always vote with your wallet. If you feel like you’re being ripped off, just don’t shell out the money. and show them you want a better value for your dollar.
Well i guess that’s all for now. hopefully see you soon in the other worlds.

I Hate Lists
Hello friends,
So this may be more of an unnecessary rant, but i feel like doing it anyways. Its that time of year again and I hate lists. It is that time of year were everyone gets nostalgic… don’t get me wrong I like looking back on the things I like and hate just as much as the next fellow nerd culture junkie…. but I hate the public need to make a collaborated list of the top ten blah blah blah.
What triggered this anger in me? Well let me tell you. a very popular website that covers everything from games to anime to tech. But this week every day they are working their way down a list of the best video games of all time. The trouble with lists like this is that no one will fully agree with the outcome and therefor no one will fully appreciate it.
If it was a list compiled by one singular person it would be a highly opinionated list made by one person on what they view as their favorite games of all time… It is not though, it is a group of people debating and creating a list that their site is saying is the top 100 games of all time.
I guess what I am saying is just hate the idea that we need a list created by a group of random people telling us what are the greatest games of all time…. to them. I really don’t care what their favorite games are. I don’t care where they rank my favorite games at. In the end it doesn’t matter, lists like this are not made for us and they are not made for them.
I truly don’t know where I am going with this. I do know that i can’t even rait my own favorite games of all time because its an ever changing and an ever morphing list with the main variable of how I am feeling that day. At the end of the day lists don’t matter… what does matter is that we all love games, that we continue to support game creators, and that we keep playing these game.
If I had to choose right now the best game/game series , gun to my head…. Mass Effect trilogy

Hello Friends
To those this may find and to those who may care, sorry this has taken awhile to get going. I have been working on an article/opinion piece that is taking a little longer than I predicted. I hope it is worth the wait.
Some thoughts that I have been having lately though mainly revolve around destiny and its brand new micro-transaction system. On the surface it looks to be a great idea, I do really like the fact that it is truly optional and you do not have to buy in to it. Also if they keep to their word that all proceeds go to making all future dlc content free.... well then that is awesome! I believe though that many see this as a slippery slope, and at times i see myself as one of those people as well. If they cross into a realm where you can get better gear and loot via paying a sum of money, you alienate those people who don’t have the means to “play” the game that way. That being said, I am giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt on this one and hoping the don’t fuck people in the gaming community over, because I love this game and would hate to see that happen.
So that is probably about it from me at this very moment. I’ll probably now go back to enjoying the superb game of Destiny and hope to see all you fine people later.

Hello Friends
Well I guess everything needs a beginning. This may catch some peoples eyes and maybe it won’t. I am here writing the words down because I love video games. I have always been very fascinated by video games, I have always loved playing video games, and now that I am in my mid twenties I find myself playing games more than ever.
Why do I love games so much? well i’ll tell you. It’s the countless hours you can get lost in exploring the rugged world of the American west in Red Dead Redemption. Spending countless hours hunting down loot and striking in Destiny (my current favorite game of choice). Or even just swiping at candies to match a combination. I am also really starting to see and appreciate all that the gaming community can build. Yeah, sure there can be the occasional dicks and assholes which makes it annoying to do some PvP, but i try not to let that get to me.
So I hope this will be the start of something fun and fresh. I am not by any means the hardest of hardcore gamers. i enjoy games for the fun that can be had. for those curious I do most of my gaming on Xbox One and some old school RTS games and old adventure games on PC. You may find me there if you look hard enough.... It shouldn’t really be that hard to find me really.... I look forward to discussing a bunch of different topics in the future that revolve around this great world of gaming that we all love with all of you.
If you want some more random thoughts from me you can always find me on twitter @theshettione . I am also looking into trying some streaming on twitch so stay tuned for more on that.
also for the grammar people out there.... i’m not the best and it shows... be kind
