Completed the ASIST Training today. I'm posting this because I'm letting you (whoever you are) know that if you want to die by suicide, that I will not judge you, I will listen to you and that I am here to for you, I will try to understand and I will try to help you. #suicideawareness #asist #oasis #life #suicide

A burst of colour on the railings in town that was like a rainbow in the middle of the road. Today was a training day; ASIST training. Dealing with how to provide interventions or suicide first aid to someone with the intent to harm themselves. I've met some wonderful people today and heard some really beautiful stories and I've heard some that were sad and not so successful. To be greeted after by this array of colour was so nice! A reminder that after the rain or storm to be optimistic and look out for a rainbow. #colour #rainbow #life

I love this photo. I took this out at Dun Laoghaire. What do you see? I see two fantastic and very beautiful houses. I also see that these houses can be used as a metaphor for which person you can chose to be. The grey: as a house it looks cold, un inviting, harsh… I know people like this. I know grey house type people. But, did you know that in this grey housed world we live in we can paint ourselves yellow. The Yellow house being the person that is just like the grey house on the inside brick for brick, but sending out a more positive, strong message even. As people, We are made of the same, but we emit different messages through how we look, act, speak. Rather than being like the grey, the yellow house type people shine. Glow. I know these people too. And I aspire to be these people. We all should. And yes, underneath all that yellow paint, is grey. We already get bogged down by capitalism, sexism, war, greed, bullying, homophobia, religious wars, terrorism. The last thing you want to be is a grey house in all of this. Choose to radiate light.
Try to be the #yellowhouse ✌️
