Dear friends and kind strangers, My name is Shaimaa, and I am a new mother of a beautiful baby boy named Adam, born on November 19th, in the middle of the second month of the war. Like any mother, I dreamt of bringing my baby into this world in a safe, clean, healthy environment. But fate had other plans. War shattered our peaceful life. Instead of a hospital, I gave birth in a makeshift tent, surrounded by the chaos and fear of conflict. The memories of those days haunt me. In the last months of my pregnancy, my family and I had to evacuate our home. We faced unimaginable hardships, uncertainty, and fear every day. Now, my only wish is to protect Adam and the other children here in my family and give them a chance at a peaceful life. We need to escape this war zone and find refuge in a safe country. The money we raise will go towards travel expenses, temporary shelter, and essential supplies for Adam and the nutrition we both need. Due to the border closures and blockade, basic necessities like milk and cereal are no longer available. As a breastfeeding mother, the lack of proper nutrition is another nightmare. The prices of alternatives have skyrocketed, making it nearly impossible to provide what Adam needs. It breaks my heart to see my baby grow up without the safety and protection he deserves. I humbly ask for your help to give our family a chance to escape this nightmare and start over. Your generosity can help us find the safety and peace we so desperately need.
