Round 2 Next Chapter Preview

I've actually had some inspiration for Round 2 again, so here's some of what I've written so far. Hopefully this new wave of inspiration lasts long enough to get an update out soon.

The snow that fell through the trees did so in thick, wet globs that were unworthy of the name ‘flake’. They didn’t have the good sense to fall in the neat, predictable paths one might expect from their size and weight. No, they fell in helter skelter patterns and left large, unsightly stains on whatever they landed on, be it canvas, fabric, or hair. These so called snowflakes didn’t even have the decency to stay in place after landing, their presence offering some explanation for one’s bedraggled appearance. No, they stuck only to each other, covering the ground in wet, miserable snow tall enough to drown a small child or, as it was doing now, permanently mar Hyorin’s silken pants with a hideous water stain. She didn’t show her outrage, of course, but she knew she would be weeping in her mother’s arms as soon as this escort mission was over and she could return to the comforts of her own home. Right now, she could only keep her upper lip stiff as her team captain spoke with their client.

Hey everyone, I know it's been over a year now since I updated a lot of my fics, so I wanted to at least give a small explanation (to alleviate my own guilt and anxiety if nothing else). The last year has been pretty hectic for me, and the next one probably will be too. A lot of things have happened/are happening/will probably happen, but long story short I got a second Master's Degree, did an internship, got a new job, got hella depressed, and have lost the motivation to write for Naruto. I'm still working on my fics in theory, and have refined a lot of story elements that were unclear before, but I have a hard time writing any of it down. This is especially true for Round 1, since Hanako's mindset is hard for me to get into as someone suffering from depression and anxiety myself.

That being said, I am still writing fics, just not for Naruto right now. I feel really bad about not updating the Naruto fics, but I can't just sit around denying myself creative release just because it's not for the fics I already have. When the inspiration returns, I will update them, I promise.
