Hi Tumblr!! I know I haven’t posted in like well over a week, I’ve been super tired and have been on my phone much less. But I have been hunting!!

I managed to get some very successful pokeradar chains in pearl, 3 in fact!

My first was just a single Ralts with the beautiful Lance you see above and he will become a mega Gallade on either Ultra sun or ultra moon. The reason it was only one is because I did a dumb and didn’t pay attention to where the patches were and walked into a starly.

My second chain was 5 shiny Glameows!! I’m still working out how to distribute them amongst my games!! One will definitely be going to 7th gen, possibly 2, and the rest will probably stay on 4th gen at least for now.

My third chain was ralts again as I was NOT satisfied with just one, and thus I managed to get two more. The one I named Bellatrix will become a mega Gardevoir on either Ultra sun or ultra moon, but whichever it is, will be opposite the game the gallade is on.

Eeeeee I’m so happy still!!!! It’s been a good run!! Welcome to the shiny family you guys!!

Hi Tumblr!! I am so excited!! I got three shiny sentrets on Pokemon pearl via pokeradar!!!

Sorry about the bad quality video, my hand was legit shaking because this was the first one!! You have no idea how hard it was for me to hold in my screaming during that video!

I called them Raspberry, Strawberry and Vanilla and I’m so so excited to have gotten them!! I actually managed to get up to a chain of 40 super quickly as well so it’s been a good day!!!

I dunno bout anyone else, but in my head, shiny Pokemon are like the adhd or autistic or -insert literally any identity or feature that makes you different- of the Pokemon world.

Like maybe they got bullied by the other Pokemon a lot. Or maybe the other Pokemon largely ignored them. But like maybe they struggled in some way. Some people I’m aware don’t see the value in shiny Pokemon, they think what’s the point in putting all that work in?

Kinda similar to how plenty of people will drop friendships or relationships with neuroduvergents. They think it’s not worth it because sometimes it can be “hard work” to understand that some people’s brains operate differently.

But much the same as shiny hunters know how rare and valuable and amazing shinies are, there will be people out there who recognise how amazing you are too. No matter how different you are.

And In fact much the same as shiny Pokemon, we are effectively the same. They are still Pokemon, we are still humans. We are just a tiny bit different, and that should be completely okay. So find the people who will want to put the effort into your friendships and relationships. Find your shiny hunters.

Also, just remember this next time someone makes a nasty comment; you’re not weird, you’re shiny

GUYS!!! WTF IS HAPPENING????

I just got this shiny hoppip on Pokemon pearl via pokeradar!! But, here’s the catch; I got it after a radar chain of 11. 11!!!! 11?????????

That is a 11/65536 chance!!!!!! This is insane???? My luck has been CRAZY recently!!! Not to mention this is a reclaim because when I played soulsilver way back when in 2010 I actually found a full odds shiny hoppip. But it was inthe safari zone. So I bet you can guess what happened. I can’t remember if I threw bait or threw a ball but either way it didn’t work and fled immediately.

So I am literally in shock. I literally don’t know what to do next, this is insane!!!!!! I’m. So. Happy. Also I too a video of the sparkles but tumblr decided it was gonna crash and it didn’t save as a draft so I don’t have it saved, so a photo will have to suffice

Everybody this is Jupiter! I caught this absolute babe so so many years ago. So I figured I’d showcase her now as I’m going to be training her up.

I got her on my old Pokemon pearl 10 years ago via radar hunting. I traded her to my soulsilver and as I’ve sunk back into gen 4 recently I thought “heck it why not, she should be powerful”

TUMBLR!! I GOT THIS AFTER AN SOS CHAIN OF 6 ON ULTRA MOON!! 6!!!!! 6?!?!?!?!?!?

I wanted a second shiny noibat so I could have a shiny noivern on as well, and Oh. my. God. I literally just started and bam!! 6 noibats later I’ve bagged a shiny one!!!

Do you realise what this means??? This is my shortest shiny hunt I have EVER DONE. I got my shortest hunt ever and my longest hunt ever within like a week and a half of each other!!! I’m screaming!!!!

Also I called her Perri because cute but with an i because I’m super unique and distinct (not really I’m actually p basic). Anyway, WELCOME TO THE SHINY FAMILY YOU LUCKY LITTLE MIRACLE

She’s on a roll!! Back again with more! Got this beautiful shiny noibat today super quickly after an sos chain of only 32 on Ultra sun!!! I was double hunting on Ultra moon as well. That chain is still active and I’m hoping I get a second so I can have a shiny noivern too!!

I’m super happy, noibat is like a dream shiny too! I named her Tealan just cause it sounds cute. Welcome to the shiny family Tealan!!

What a wonderful day!!! This was my first successful radar hunt I’ve done since I was 12 years old nearly ten years ago!!

My very first one I got a shiny starly on pearl (which I still have, I traded it to my soulsilver) but I lost my pearl game cartridge a few years back. Hence I decided to pick up another copy and play it again.

This is actually shinx number 4 of that chain!! I didn’t think to catch the sparkles of the others for some reason. I was really scared too because I got down from like 100 to only 12 super repels left without finding a single shiny and then within the next 7 repels found 4 shiny patches!!! I’ve been both so unlucky and so extremely lucky with this hunt!! I’ve had so many broken chains at yet its all been worth it.

My shinx’s I named Nugget, Llama, Zuri and Simba and I’m so so over the moon to welcome them all to the shiny clan. This has been one heck of a journey

A beautiful little surprise greated me today! I was training up some of my Pokemon in Poni wilds on Ultra moon when this stunning shiny miltank appeared!! That close up tho. Made me laugh

She’s my third wild random encounter shiny in this game! I nearly didn’t see her too because I missed the sparkles and was busy watching Netflix at the same time! Then I looked down at my 3DS and was like “whaaaaat”

It was so unexcepted and it made my simple afternoon a little bit shinier.

Hello tumblr!! Been a couple weeks, but not because I haven’t been hunting! This is the result! I’ve been SRing for this boi solidly everyday since my pichu hunt! It’s officially my longest hunt ever!

I FINALLY got him after 4067(!!!!) resets on Ultra sun. Bearing in mind I DO have the shiny charm so this was crazy over odds!!

I named him Chronos after the Greek Titan god if time. He is possibly one of my most precious shinies I’ve ever hunted.

A big massive hearty welcome to the shiny family, Chronos!

EDIT: I know in the picture it says Chronus which is not the correct spelling but I did later change his name to Chronos

Hello again my fellow shiny hunters and pokefans!! I have yet another shiny with this beautiful shiny pichu who appeared after a chain of only 140 via the sos method on Pokemon moon.

I named her Chips because it makes me laugh. Also it’s an homage to the first shiny pichu I caught well over a year ago now, whom I named Chipu.

I gave that one to my partner’s little bro as a gift so I thought I’d hunt another one!

I called him Lapiz because shiny gigalith looks like lapiz lazuli

Everybody, meet Choc-chip! He shined this evening on Ultra sun after an SOS chain of 364.

He’s my first shiny on Ultra sun after I got the shiny charm yesterday.

I was really disappointed earlier because I was also hunting for shiny roggenrola and I pressed run by mistake!! Ahhhhh!! So he makes up for it and I’m just super pleased I managed to get a shiny before the end of the day. I love shiny zorua so so much, it’s been a shiny I wanted to get since I first saw it so I’m pretty chuffed right now

hopped onto ultra moon today to see if i could get some more SRs on my terrakion hunt- got it within 10 resets today. named'em Hydrangea because i was having a flower theme with the sacred sword trio.

definitely my longest hunt so far, so i rewarded myself with some more chill ultra wormhole hopping-style hunting.

…And got an amazing audino.
