Here’s a recent round of Polaroids I sent to members of my Patreon. This time around, I chose to send triptychs. Both emphasize the infinite, the unknown, and the powerful. Magic and liminality make unique appearances in each photograph.
Join my Patreon to receive original Polaroids from me to your mail box and to support my work. 💌

Due to the demanding nature of life, this is a very rare occurrence and I must celebrate publicly. I finally finished annotating Black Hole Survival Guide by Janna Levin.
Since my artistic practice is extremely research-heavy, I have to carefully track where my inspiration comes from, and do so in a way that doesn't involve me rifling through pages of books looking for a sentence I think I remember correctly. This ends up taking on the form of a summary of a book I read, where I copy excerpts from a book and which page they were on so I can quickly double check my sources and create proper citations when writing. It takes a long time and it's basically like reading a book twice. Since this book is not as long as others I am still working through, I was able to actually finish this one.
It's the first time I finished one and I'm really excited. If you're wondering why I'm so happy, just know that I have been reading and annotating a different book since 2020. I have to literally fight my own life in order to get time to do research for my artwork.
I won this round! Time to win the next.
If you haven't already read this book, I highly recommend it. It's pocket sized and uses very accessible language. Janna Levin is an amazing writer, and Lia Halloran did an amazing job on the accompanying artwork.

I’m slowly teaching myself how to make needle lace. When I saw the diagrams in A Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism by James Clerk Maxwell, I immediately wanted to try making them into lace.
This is a chaotic and unplanned sample-in-progress because I refuse to learn linearly and absolutely must do complex things right away. I am doing it skeleton style with no fill and I’m eager to see how it turns out.
