Sparring friends?
wc: 1,3k, fluff, Shisui and Y/n are in their feels
Tumblr media
Age 15
At the Konoha training grounds, far from the tumult of the village, Y/n and Shisui were face to face, circling each other and ready to lunge at every moment. They both had one of their sparring sessions which usually ended up with one of them giving up to not hurt the other and them both sharing some sweets from a small local shop they visited often.
Both were determined to win. Shisui grinned and activated his Sharingan. “Hey, that´s not fair. No Sharingan!” Y/n shouted at him. “Life´s not fair love. You have improved a lot since our last spar. But are you sure you can keep up with the legendary Uchiha Shisui?" She had blushed at the pet name. For some time Shisui had started calling her pet names and she didn´t know what to make out of it. Love, darling, princess… they did not help her crush on her best friend. She had to focus.
Y/n chuckled, her hair shifting slightly as she adopted a combat-ready stance. "Don't underestimate me, Shisui. I'm not going down without a fight." He only flashed her his beautiful, charming smile, and with a swift, fluid motion, Shisui lunged forward, his kunai flashing in the sunlight. Y/n dodged it, her kunai ready in hand. Their blades clashed, each strike resonating with precision and skill. There was no way she could outsmart him with his Sharingan activated. She had an idea but didn´t know how he would react and if it was going to be effective. As they engaged in different attacks and counters, Y/n let out a flirtatious remark, putting on a slightly suggestive tone to her voice. "Is that all you've got, Shisui? I was expecting a real challenge." He countered all her attacks and managed to get a firm grip on both her forearms holding them in between them, trapping her effectively.
Shisui chuckled, their faces mere inches apart as they sparred. His face inched closer until he was close to her ear. "Oh Y/n, I have so much more to show you, of course only if you think you can handle it.” She blushed furiously and blew some smoke into his face, creating a cloud of dust and lighting it up with a click of her teeth. The cloud erupted in flames. At least she could blame her flushed cheeks on the flames in front of her.
He was gone. She slowly turned around, scanning her surroundings. Where was he? He was called Shisui the Body Flicker for a reason. With her chakra, she slowly created a chakra net on the floor which was spreading further and further. With it, she could track all the movements in her surroundings. They knew each other's techniques and strategies so well that their sparring sessions were as much a test of skill as they were a chance to enjoy each other's company. She found him. While checking her surroundings she sensed his chakra. His chakra signature was engraved in her brain. She would find him anywhere. And he knew it, which is why he was suddenly standing behind her, holding the kunai to her neck. Damn it he was fast! She turned her head, looking up at him and showing him the greatest puppy eyes she could muster while wetting her lips and pouting innocently. His gaze faltered. Y/n took advantage of that momentary opening and swept Shisui off his feet, sending him to the ground with a gentle thud. She stood over him, a playful grin on her face. "Looks like I win this round."
Shisui laughed as he lay on the ground, his gaze fixed on the girl above him. The sun behind her gave the impression of a halo around her head while she was basking in the orange light of the afternoon. He was mesmerized, to say the least. Why did it have to be her? Why did he have to fall in love with his best friend? He couldn´t risk this friendship. The Uchiha´s were already frowned upon by most of the villagers, and he couldn´t lose her. So, he just enjoyed every intimate moment he had with her. Tried to memorize every little mark on her face, everything that made her smile, what she disliked, and tried to not think about pressing his lips against her every time he was on the receiving end of one of those dashing smiles.
She held out her hand to help him up. An olive branch is being handed out. But Shisui, mischievous as he is had other plans. He took her hand in his and made a calculated move, attempting to bring Y/n down to the ground. With a swift motion, he lunged toward her, aiming to pin her to the grass. However, Y/n knew him very well and with her quick reflexes and agility, interjected his plans.
As Shisui moved in to execute his manoeuvre, Y/n expertly countered his attack. She deftly moved her body, using his momentum against him. In a fluid and graceful motion, she flipped them both over, and suddenly, she was on top of Shisui, pinning him to the grass. She was straddling his thighs, pinning his arms to the ground. And he let her. She knew that if he wanted to, he could´ve won easily against her. Now their faces were mere inches apart. Shisui´s Sharingan was still activated but his gaze softened as he met Y/n's eyes. "Impressive move darling, but do not underestimate me.” Sending her a wink he grabbed Y/n and used her own momentum to roll them both down a grassy hillside. They had reached a part of the training grounds that had a slope. Shisui and Y/n tumbled down together, laughter escaping their lips as they lost control. Shisui held on tightly onto her, his arms encircling her waist while she wrapped hers around his neck.
When they finally came to a stop at the bottom of the hill, Y/n found herself on top of Shisui again, but this time their bodies closely intertwined. Their laughter faded, replaced by a silence filled with unspoken emotions. Their eyes met, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Shisui's Sharingan was like a swirling pool of mystery, drawing Y/n in. She was always fascinated by his eyes. Many feared the power of the red orbs, but she knew a different side. She knew of these red eyes trying everything to protect others. She knew of these eyes that had saved her countless times. And now she was so close to them. So close that their noses were touching. Y/n's eyes held a warmth and affection that was impossible to ignore.
A blush crept on Shisui´s cheeks mirroring Y/n`s own. The tension between the two friends was electrifying. They found themselves drawing closer and closer until their lips were only an inch apart. Shisui watched her carefully for any sign of discomfort. Seeing none he saw it as his cue to close the gap between them. “NIISAAAAAAAN! Where should we train?” Jumping away Y/n and both scrambled to their feet at the sound of a child´s voice. Faces red as a tomato they both watched how a little Sasuke came into view followed by Itachi. When Sasuke saw them both he immediately ran over. “Shisui-nii, Y/n-nee, look Nii-san will teach me how to throw shuriken today.” They both tried to sound enthusiastic while talking to Sasuke concealing their disappointment of their moment being gone. Shisui and Y/n knew what would´ve happened if the little Uchiha hadn´t disrupted them. They were going to kiss each other. And both wanted to do it.
Itachi the smart person that he is realised what was going on. Only raising an eyebrow while looking between Shisui and Y/n he chose not to say anything to not embarrass them further. Sasuke continued rambling and in the end Y/n and Shisui stayed to watch the lesson and occasionally voice their input. Neither mentioning what nearly happened.

Konohamaru is born
A/n: fluff, character death, Y/n becoming an aunt
Age 14
Y/n waited anxiously in the hallway of the hospital. She´s going to be an aunt. She wonders if the baby will be a boy or a girl. If it´s a girl, she already thinking about all the cute dresses she´s gonna put her in. And if it´s a boy, well she guesses boys are cute too. Asuka, her eldest brother is in the hospital room with his wife Chinami. Asuka leaves the room. “Y/n, are you sure you want to wait here? We don´t know how long it will take. You can go home.” He comes closer and puts his palm on the top of her head. She leans against her older brother. Of course, she was going to stay there. She really wants to see her nephew or her niece. Chinami´s screams could be heard in the hallway and Asuka excused himself and went to his wife´s side.
Her father lord third arrived and took a seat next to her. “How is it going?” He too was curious about his first grandchild. Y/n looked at him and told him what her brother had told her.
After two more hours, screams were heard, but they were not Chinami´s. It was a baby´s scream. Y/n and her father stood up, excited to meet their new family member. A nurse signaled them to go inside, and both went in. After congratulating the couple Asuka extended the baby boy towards his father, asking him to name him. The Hokage took the small baby in his arms. “His name should be… Konohamaru. Name after our great village he will grow up to be an honourable shinobi following the will of fire.” Y/n looked at her father. Konohamaru…. She looked at the small baby after her father gave him to her. He was scrunching his nose and looked a bit wrinkly, but he was also kind of cute. Just as the Sarutobi´s were enjoying the new addition Chinami suddenly gasped for air. Nurses were called and directed to the family members outside. She didn´t make it.
Asuka was devastated. Nobody had expected her to die. He took on his Anbu duties and went on more missions than ever. He loved Konohamaru more than everything but looking at him only reminded him of what he had lost. Of the cost of bringing this small child to life. One year later a mission failed, and Asuka was killed. He closed his eyes, knowing that he wouldn´t see his son again, his father, his younger brother, and his sister. Suddenly Chinami stood in front of him and extended her hand. He knew it was time. He was united with his love and knew that his family would look after his son.

A dangerous jutsu (Shisui x Reader)
Shisui tells Y/n about his Kotoamatsukami
Age 13
Shisui Uchiha's Kotoamatsukami is not only a highly secretive genjustu, but it´s also extremely powerful. Hence, few people know of its existence and that Shisui can use it. He can´t just trust anyone with this secret, but he knows that he wants to tell Y/n. Y/n is the person he trusts the most. The person he would sacrifice himself for. He might be young, but he knows his feelings towards his best friend.
The moon hung low in the sky as Shisui and Y/n sat by their favourite place, on top of a cliff on the outskirts of the Hidden Leaf Village from where they could watch the river flow beneath them. It was their favourite place. They trained here, shared conversations and sometimes just sat in silence beside each other. The gentle sound of flowing water provided a soothing backdrop to their conversation.
Y/na turned to Shisui. “Spit it out!” His eyes widened when he looked at her. A questioning look on his face. “What are you talking about?” She just rolled her eyes. She knew him too well and could look through his scheme. “I can sense that something is bothering you. And before you say everything is alright the crease on your forehead would disagree.”
He looked at her. She knew him well. And he knew that he could trust her. “Y/n I´m going to tell you something, and you must promise not to tell anyone. No one knows that I can do this, and it should stay that way.” She looked over at Shisui. He was acting so serious, something he usually didn´t. Y/n nodded and urged him to continue.
“I can use something called Kotoamatsukami. It´s a genjustu that can control people´s minds. But it´s so subtle that the people are not aware of it and think they´re doing things of their own will. You don´t even need to make eye contact to cast it. I did some research on some old Uchiha scrolls and it says that it can only be used every few years, the cool-down period changes depending on the shinobi. But you have to believe me Y/n I would never, NEVER, use this on you.”
To say she was speechless would be an understatement. She knew he was powerful; she had seen him on a mission, experienced his Body Flicker Technique with her own eyes, and saw what he was capable of…. But this… he was much more powerful than she had thought. And he had just told her his biggest secret. Well, the second biggest, the first being his love for her, but she doesn’t know that yet.
Y/n reached out and placed a comforting hand on Shisui's shoulder. He looked at her, eyes hopeful. "J-Just promise me that you'll use it wisely, and only when there's no other option." He immediately took the hand on his shoulder in his own and held onto it with both hands. “I promise Y/n, I´m already reluctant to use it. It just feels so wrong to manipulate someone like that. I promise I will only use it if someone dear to me is in grave danger and there´s no other way.” She believed him. Y/n always believed everything Shisui said, and he did the same.

Attack of the nine-tails (Shisui x Reader)
Age 12
The day the Nine-Tails attacked the Hidden Leaf Village was a chaotic one. Shisui and Y/n, both were determined to do whatever it took to protect their home. However, when they received orders to stay back and not participate in the frontline defense, their reactions were a mix of frustration, worry, and a sense of helplessness.
Shisui couldn't believe that he was being ordered to stay behind. He knew he was strong and knew that he could aid in fighting. But the Hokage´s orders were clear. No young Shinobi were allowed to fight on the frontlines no matter their rank. And the Uchiha´s were ordered to evacuate the civilians.
He paced back and forth in the command center, his fists clenched. "I can't just stand here and do nothing while the village is under attack," he muttered to himself. Y/n shared Shisui's frustration. She watched as the other shinobi rushed out to face the Nine-Tails, her heart heavy with worry for her friends and the village. "I can't believe they're keeping us back," she whispered to Shisui, her voice filled with frustration.
Shisui turned to Y/n, his best friend, his expression a mixture of determination and concern. "We have to trust that the higher-ups know what they're doing, Y/n. Our time will come to help, but for now, we must follow orders. Even if we don´t agree with them." They had to trust Minato Sensei and her father´s decision.
As they stood in the command center, they listened to the sounds of battle outside, the roars of the Nine-Tails echoing through the village. Every instinct in them urged them to join the fight, to protect their loved ones and their home. But they knew that disobeying orders could lead to even greater chaos.
Hours passed, and the battle raged on. Shisui and Y/n couldn't help but feel a growing sense of anxiety and impatience. They knew that their comrades were risking their lives on the frontline, and they longed to stand by their side. “Where are Itachi and Sasuke?” She asked. “They probably already evacuated and are in safety.”
Amidst the chaos of the Nine-Tails attack, Shisui and Y/n found a moment to talk, their voices hushed as they stood together in the shadow of a ruined building, watching the devastation unfold. Shisui glanced at her, his expression tense with frustration. "I can't believe they're keeping us back. We're strong enough to make a difference out there." “Guess they don´t see it that way.” She muttered bitterly.
A deafening roar from the Nine-Tails echoed through the air, making them both flinch. Sensing her uneasiness Shisui took her hand in his and gave it a light squeeze. He felt her loosen up and get calmer. The friends were now sitting down, leaning against a wall, and couldn´t do anything but wait. Her father was out there. Fighting. Y/n leaned her head against Shisui´s shoulder seeking comfort. He just leaned his own head against her own and so the two friends waited for the nightmare to be over.

Meeting little Sasuke (Shisui x Reader)
Itachi Uchiha was a responsible and caring older brother to Sasuke. He knew that he wanted to introduce his little brother to both Shisui and Y/n. When Y/n and Shisui met Itachi and baby Sasuke her heart couldn't help but melt at the sight of the adorable Uchiha infant. Sasuke, bundled in a soft, cozy blanket, lay in Itachi's arms, his dark eyes curiously observing the world around him.
Unable to resist she leaned in closer, her fingers gently poking Sasuke's chubby cheeks. "Oh my goodness," she cooed, "he's so cute! Look at those little cheeks!"
Itachi and Shisui chuckled at Y/n's reaction, their own hearts warmed by the sight of their friend's affection for Sasuke. Itachi shifted Sasuke slightly so Y/n could continue to admire his baby brother. Sasuke let out a soft, gurgling laugh, his tiny hands reaching out toward Y/n's finger. His response only made her heart melt further, and she couldn't help but shower him with gentle compliments.
"You're going to grow up to be a handsome and strong ninja, Sasuke," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "And you'll have your big brother Itachi to look up to."
Itachi, his eyes filled with pride and love for both his little brother and his friend, smiled and nodded in agreement. "That's right, Sasuke. You have a bright future ahead of you, and we'll always be here to support you."
As she continued to interact with baby Sasuke, her affection for him grew even stronger. She knew that he would be a remarkable shinobi one day, just like his older brother Itachi.
Itachi Uchiha was a responsible and caring older brother to Sasuke. He had taken care of Sasuke when he was just a baby, ensuring that his little brother was safe and loved.
Over time, Itachi, Shisui, and Y/n all tried to spend more time with Sasuke even though they still had their own duties. When meeting each other Sasuke would always greet them excitedly. "Hi, Shisui. Hi, Y/n."
Shisui and Y/n became positive role models for Sasuke, offering guidance and support, alongside his hero, Itachi.

A present for father (Shisui x Reader)
Age 11
Y/n sat on the porch of her family's home in the Hidden Leaf Village, her legs crossed and a thoughtful expression on her face. Father's Day was just around the corner, and she wanted to find the perfect gift for her father, the Hokage. She knew that her father worked tirelessly for the village, and she wanted to show her appreciation in a meaningful way. Shisui, her best friend, had come over to help brainstorm ideas for the gift. He sat beside her; his head tilted in concentration. "Y/n," he began, "your dad is the Hokage. What can we possibly get him that he doesn't already have?"
The girl nodded, acknowledging the challenge. "I know, I know. I want this gift to be personal, something that shows him how much I love and appreciate him as my father." Shisui tapped his chin in thought. “How about a rare plant?” “Please be serious Shisui…” “A bonsai?" Y/n rolled her eyes, smiling at her friend's antics.
“Alright…. How about something you made yourself?” Both friends were deep in thought when she suddenly had an idea. “What if I show him my support through a seal that can transport me to him when he needs me?” “So like Minato-Sensei´s jutsu?” She nodded her head. “Similar.” Shisui tilted his head to the side, thinking through the idea and enjoying it by the minute.
Y/n went to the Hokage tower. She had experimented the whole day and Shisui had even helped her to successfully create the transportation seal. With this seal, she can immediately reach whoever possesses the seal. That person only has to infuse it with a little bit of chakra, and it will immediately resonate with her and pull her in. She hoped her father would like it. He should be in the tower doing important stuff. Timidly knocking on the door to his office she stared at her feet. Will he like it? Will he be proud? What if he thinks it´s stupid? Asking her to come in she opened the door. “Hello, father.” “Y/n, what brings you here? I thought you had already done your mission for this week.” “I´m not here for a mission. I-I-I made something for you, and I hope you like it.” She gave him the piece of paper. Lord Third looked at it skeptically. His eyes widened when he realized what he held in his hands.
Y/n watched with a mixture of hope and anxiety as her father, the Hokage, examined the transportation seal she had painstakingly crafted for him as a Father's Day gift. She had poured her heart into creating this special seal, believing it would allow her father to summon her whenever he needed her, no matter where she was in the village.
“How did you do it? Making a seal like this is quite difficult, especially for someone your age.” “I studied a lot. It´s for you. When you´re in trouble one day just infuse it with a bit of chakra and I will be there to help you. No matter what happens.”
After what felt like an eternity, her father carefully placed the transportation seal into a drawer and closed it. Y/n's heart sank, and disappointment washed over her. She had expected a smile, a thank-you, or some sign that he appreciated the gift, but all she got was silence. He showed a small smile and put the paper away in a drawer of his table.
Feeling her emotions welling up, Y/n fought to keep her voice steady. "Dad," she said, her tone tinged with sadness, "I made that for you so that you could reach me quickly if you ever needed me. It's a way for us to stay connected, even when you're busy with your duties as Hokage."
Her father looked at her with a faint smile, but there was a weariness in his eyes that made Y/n's heartache. "I appreciate the thought, Y/n," he said gently, " but now go, I have work to do.” To say she was disappointed would be an understatement. He didn´t take her seriously. He probably never will….

The Chunin Exams and the attack on the hokage (Kakashi x Reader; past Shisui x Reader)
This scenario is kind of chronological to the anime, I just added some details. Main pairing Kakashi x fem. reader (Sarutobi reader), past Shisui x reader
wc: 5k
tw: character death, blood, etc. angsty with a bit of fluff and action
Age 21
It was time for the Chunin Exams. After watching the Uzumaki and Hyuga boys fight Y/n intently paid attention to Shikamaru´s fight. After all, he is her brother´s student. But from what Asuma had told her she knew that he would be the winner. So, it´s not surprising that she and everyone else were shocked when he gave up. That boy is something. Now it was time for Sasuke´s and Gaara´s match. The latter is Baki´s student with whom she had quite a few bad experiences before the peace treaty. She watched Sasuke concentrate the chakra to his hand and…. the Chidori. Kakashi had taught his student his technique. She still got goosebumps when hearing the chirping sound of this jutsu… and in this moment Sasuke reminded her so much of young Kakashi.
Suddenly she saw white feathers fall in front of her eyes – a genjustu. Hastily releasing herself from it she made eye contact with Gai and Kakashi who stood beside her, all of their eyes immediately going to the Hokage… who was held captive by the kazekage. Y/n watched her fellow Jonin Raido get hit by multiple kunai, and a barrier of ninjutsu formed around the two of them. So the Suna betrayed Konoha. “Gai, Kakashi you two take care of them. I need to find my father.” Both nodded and took over the sounds nin that were in their way while she went to rescue her father. Coming to a halt in front of the barrier she stood beside the Anbu who also couldn´t go in. Tensely she watches the kunai being held at her father´s throat. The both of them make eye contact. He might be an incredibly strong ninja, but he´s also way out of his prime and his health had been declining with age. The kazekage took the kunai away and reached for his face, tearing it down and revealing … Orochimaru. How did he get in? If he´s after Sasuke why is he holding the Hokage hostage? He held the kunai and pushed it into his palm. He let go of her father and turned his back to him. They seemed to be talking about something but there was no way to hear through the barrier. If there only was a way to break through it. She used her ability to visualize chakra and tried to sense an opening, just a small loophole would be enough for her to break through. The time was ticking because if her father and Orochimaru engaged in a fight, she couldn´t confidently say that her father would make it out alive. “This barrier can´t be broken unless it´s from the inside. If Lord Hokage would take out one of those four sound ninjas we could help.” The words of the Anbu next to her only added to her desperation. The whole situation seems so hopeless. She observed the barrier more closely. There has to be a way. The points closest to the enemy nin have a huge amount of chakra, and so do the edges surrounding the barrier that leaves…. The middle. Right in the middle the barrier seems to be slightly weaker. But if she would get closer it would burn her alive. She needs to find a way to break through that weak point. Especially now, that the fight between the Hokage and his former student, one of the legendary Sannin started, and both charged at each other. Her father used a mud substitution to escape Orochimaru´s attack but how long can he substitute himself? Both continued their attacks at each other, each jutsu grander than the one before. “He´s combined earth and fire. Excellent Lord Hokage!” Yes excellent, but how long can he keep this up? She watched her father throw off the Hokage robe, revealing his ninja armor. Did he expect this? Why hadn´t he told her? Yes, she was aware of the threat that Orochimaru was but if he was so sure to fight why didn´t he add her to his guard? She could´ve been in there with him and fought alongside him. The fighting continued when he suddenly looked over at her and then looked at the middle of the barrier. The weaker part. His hand glided to his pocket, and he took out a small piece of paper with a seal on it. The transportation seal she had once given him.
Ten years earlier: Age 11: Y/n went to the Hokage tower. She had experimented the whole day and Shisui had even helped her to successfully make the transportation seal. With this seal, she can immediately reach whoever possesses the seal. That person only has to infuse it with a little bit of chakra and it will immediately resonate with her and basically pull her in. I-I-I made something for you and I hope you like it.” She gave him the piece of paper. Lord Third looked at it skeptically. His eyes widened when he realized what he held in his hands. “How did you do it? Making a seal like this is quite difficult, especially for someone your age.” “I studied a lot. It´s for you. When you´re in trouble one day just infuse it with a bit of chakra and I will be there to help you. No matter what happens.” He showed a small smile and put the paper away in a drawer of his table. “Thank you Y/n, but now go, I have work to do.” To say she was disappointed would be an understatement. He didn´t take her seriously. He probably never will….
She watched as he held the piece of paper between two fingers and watched the blue chakra infuse the paper. Her body vibrated. She felt like a thousand ants were crawling under her skin. The seal called for her. She concentrated on the weak part of the barrier while simultaneously preparing her body for the jump. This is her only chance. Her only chance to save her father. With one last look into his eyes, she focused on the paper and jumped through the barrier, landing right by his side.
Glaring at Orochimaru she took on a fighting stance. Ready to protect her father with her life. “You kept the seal.” “I have always carried it with me for the past ten years.”
Orochimaru was smirking towards them. “I have to admit I did not expect this turn of events. But it won´t change much about the outcome Sarutobi Sensei. The only difference will be that both of you will die.”
Two wooden caskets descended from the ground and inside were… The first and the second Hokage. Hashirama and Tobirama Senju. What has Orochimaru done? She glanced at her father; he was just as exasperated. “Now, what will you do Sarutobi Sensei?”
Lord First and Lord Second stepped out. “Long time no see… Saru.” “Oh, it´s you. You´ve gotten old, Sarutobi.” There´s no way they were going to win a fight against both of them and Orochimaru. “Father, what should we do?” “I never thought I would meet the great brothers in this manner… It´s regretful. Please prepare yourselves. Lord First Hokage. At his word, the first Hokage looked at him and glanced at Y/n. “Father?” Hashirama Senju´s face contorted in a frown. Already sensing what´s going to occur between him and his brother and their former student and his daughter. Lord Second Hokage.” Tobirama glanced at his back “Edo Tensei? This youth summoned us with the forbidden jutsu.” Orochimaru controlled both Hokages and Y/n and her father had to fight them.
“Please prepare yourselves, Sarutobi Sensei, young Sarutobi.” With these words Orochimaru completed the bodies, making them look alive, and controlling them fully. “They look like how they used to look more than ever.” Y/n turned to her father who pressed his fingers against his forehead. His voice sounded shaky. She could not imagine what it must feel like to fight against the ones who taught you and who you looked up to. Orochimaru is a sick bastard.
The bodies started walking towards them… and then attacked with an incredible speed. Her father fought against Lord first while Y/n took on Lord second. Her father used his fire jutsu, only for it to be countered by Lord Second´s water style. Just the Tobirama signed his Water Shock Wave. Y/n activated her blades which are like knives but the chakra extends them to a huge scale. Right when the water was about to hit them she sliced through the jutsu, spreading the water to flow around them. There was so much water. Just the Hashirama started his attack and no matter how many fire shots her father was firing they did nothing against the first hokage. While focused on Tobirama Y/n had to watch how her father was beaten with Taijutsu by Hashirama and fell into the water. Slowly getting up. While looking out for her father she neglected Tobirama who charged at her with his sword. Blocking it with her blades she was all too aware of how hopeless the situation looked, and how their chances to make it out alive sank by the minute. Her thoughts were interrupted by tree trunks started sprouting through the roof. “Deep forest emersion” Her surroundings turned into moving trees, unstable and out to catch her. Her arms were caught by two branches twisting and chaining her to the ground. They needed reinforcements immediately.  She could hardly move and neither could her father. A look at her was enough. She knew what to do. Trying her hardest to put her hand on a surface she summoned the only hope for this fight. Alongside her father's Monkey King Enma, her own summon Monkey Prince Enki appeared. Both are similar in looks but Enki looks more youthful than his father. “Enki, get me out of here.” The summon looked at her. “Long time no see Y/n, look at me. I´m nearly as tall as my father.” One stern look from her was enough and he worked on the branches breaking them with his enormous strength. She looked over and saw Enma already eyeing Orochimaru. “Orochimaru… I knew this would happen. You´re pathetic Sarutobi… It´s because you didn´t kill him back then and it´s too late to do it now.” “Please Enma. The Adamantine Nyoi.” She watched Enma transform into a staff and break her father free. “Come on Enki you too.” Enki nodded and transformed a staff too. The Adamantine Staff is as hard as a diamond and extremely destructive. Holding Enki in her hands she turned toward Lord Second when Orochimaru took a sword out of his mouth. The Snake Sword is one of the only things that can hurt Enma and Enki. Her father attacked Orochimaru leaving her with both Hokages.  While the sword and the staff clashed, she focused on the reanimated bodies in front of her. Defending Tobirama´s sword attack with Enki. Enki managed to block the attack and send Tobirama flying towards the barrier. His back hit it and caught fire. But he seemed unfazed by it. So they also don´t feel any pain. Well makes sense since they´re dead. Turning to Hashirama she saw him turning towards her father and Orochimaru but before he could start running, she already charged at him, Enki firmly in her hands.
Her father was losing the fight against Orochimaru. She watched him getting punched by Orochimaru and staying down. “FATHER!”  “Are you okay, Sensei?” Y/n attacked Orochimaru with her staff. Orochimaru summoned a snake which curled around Y/n body twisting it. She tried to reach her blades to cut through it but the snake was faster, trapping them alongside her at her body. Orochimaru stood on her father, who was still lying on the roof. She couldn´t hold back the tears that started to escape. This helplessness.
“Orochimaru…. YOU FOOL.” Her father grabbed that bastard and kicked his legs, sending Orochimaru to the ground while Enma´s hand shot out of the staff to choke him and hold him up in the air. Using substitution Orochimaru freed himself. She tried to free herself as the two Hokages started walking towards her father but the snake only twisted her tighter. A bit more and it would break both her arms and then crush her.
Orochimaru took off his face again to reveal a much younger one. “You´re a truly frightening, inhuman monster! So this is why you want Sasuke Uchiha? To take over his body and never age?” Orochimaru or whoever body he´s in smiled viciously. “Right… Exactly… Sasuke.” Orochimaru switched his face back to his old one for the final fight. The first Hokage used his wood release to release to fill the barrier even more with his trees. Only the Adamantine cage from Enma protects him. “What´s been wrong with you? This isn´t like you!” Hiruzen only let out a sigh, looking down. “I´m sorry…” Filled with new determination Hiruzen said, “I´ll bury you and correct my old mistakes, now!” Suddenly the third Hokage used the shadow clone Justu and made two clones of himself, distributing the little chakra he had left. Y/n looked confused, why would he do that in this situation? And then it dawned upon her. “D-Don´t tell me, he…?!” The order of the signs her father was signing. She knew what he was planning. A Grim Reaper will appear behind him looking like a ghost surrounded by a blue light but only those who signed a contract with this Jutsu can see it. Her father had told Y/n about it one night as they talked to father and daughter. Hiruzen looked behind him a saw the Shinigami. Just then Tobirama used his Infinite Darkness Jutsu surrounding all of them in a black abyss. Y/n was in a tricky situation. She had to get out of the snake´s hold. She had an idea. It was reckless, stupid, and done wrong might cost her life. She had her chakra blades in her hands facing her body, not the snake. But if she would activate them and send lots of chakra through them to lengthen the blade… it would also cut through the snake. She had no other choice. Now or never. Trying to keep her screams in she activated the blades and felt it go through her sides, slicing the flesh. A burning smell came to her nose and she tried her hardest to not scream too loud. Her whole body was shaking and covered in sweat but the snake fell limply down and she was free now, although wounded. Still surrounded by darkness she heard her father getting attacked. “Orochimaru! Now I will perform an ace jutsu even if you don´t know! Behold! Sealing Jutsu! Reaper Death Seal!” The Grim Reaper was mumbling some words she didn´t understand but she heard her father cough and let out a scream. Hiruzen ran around in the darkness when he suddenly. “I got you” Appear!”. The darkness around them vanished and she was able to see again. Both clones had grabbed the reanimated Hokage and held them tight. Hashirama then said “I´m sorry… Sarutobi…” Slowly the souls of both reanimated bodies were sucked out leaving them as white shells. “Please forgive me Lord Forst Hokage, Lord Second Hokage.” “SEAL” He sealed the bodies in his own. Now it was just Orochimaru. Could they win? Was this their chance? But her father had lost so much chakra and she wasn´t in a better situation. Getting up she went to stand beside her father. The blood from her wounds dripped down her body and bloodied her clothes. But she could care less about it. The bodies of the Hokages disappeared and left two dead Oto Nin. He did this to his own subordinates. She gasped when she saw them. “Toying with even the lives of your own subordinates…! You are truly a sick bastard Orochimaru.” How was this person once a Konoha Ninja? The student of her father? Her father’s clones disappeared, and he called for Enma who was still in staff form. Y/n called for Enki to get ready to fight. Hiruzen looked at his daughter. How much she had to go through in this fight. Wounded. Tired.  “Y/n, you stay back this is between me and my former student.” “But father I can help.” He looked at her with a sad smile. “I know you can. And you helped me enough to get to make it to this point in the fight. But now you will stay back. I´m not ordering you as Hokage, I´m asking as your father. Please stay back.” Tears started to form in her eyes. She looked at him, and then slowly nodded taking small steps back.
Her father and Orochimaru went at each other when her father managed to grab onto Orochimaru. “You´re mine.” Orochimaru looked shocked and confused. He held onto him and couldn´t see the Snake Sword that Orochimaru motioned to start. “FATHER WATCH OUT” The sword flew at a rapid pace, going through her father. Y/n cried out. Her heartbreaking scream echoed in the barrier. Hiruzen coughed out some blood. Enma held onto the sword, so it didn’t go completely through Hiruzen. A shocked Orochimaru before him. “Why didn´t you dodge it?” Her father looked at Orochimaru. “The Reaper Death Seal. In this sealing jutsu, in exchange for the effectiveness of Jutsu one´s soul is handed to the Grim Reaper.” The same jutsu that sealed the Nine-Tailed Fox twelve years ago. Orochimaru tried to sign for a different Jutsu but it seemed ineffective. Orochimaru´s soul was slowly dragged out by the Grim Reaper´s hand. The Grim Reaper lifted his sword. “Knock it off” You old dotard! I won´t let you do as you like.” Orochimaru signed with his free hand and the sword started to slowly continue piercing through her father. She saw her father struggling. The sword continued to pierce through him. Hiruzen started to doubt himself. Was he not able to take Orochimaru with him? No, he had to. For Konoha.
While Y/n watched her father and Orochimaru struggle the fights in Konoha continued. She could only hope that her fellow shinobi were fighting the enemies off well.
The Anbu was still watching, unable to do anything. “It´s taking much too long. It´s impossible for a battle between Shinobi to last this long. What the heck is happening inside?”
The whole village had turned into a battlefield, Suna and Oto nin had infiltrated the village and were fighting against Konoha ninja. Bodies were everywhere. Orochimaru looked his former sensei in the eyes. “Your side… the Leaf Shinobi… will be annihilated down to every last woman and child! I will accomplish the destruction of the Hidden Leaf Village!!!”
Outside the barrier, Kakashi and Gai alongside other Jonin were fighting the last enemies that were in the arena. Kakashi looked up to the barrier. Y/n was inside with the third Hokage. He hoped she was still alive. She had to be. He couldn´t lose her too.
Y/n heard Orochimaru´s words. She was already close to passing out, with little chakra with some blood loss. She hoped Konohamaru was safe. They were probably evacuated already. Her thoughts drifted to Kakashi as she slumped down to the ground hoping that with a little rest, she could fight again. Kakashi who was by her side these past years after losing Shisui. If she died now, she would be able to see him again. But she couldn´t leave Kakashi alone in this world, and she didn´t want to. Not after all the nights they´ve shared, after the conversations in the dark, after being comfortable enough to take off his mask in front of her. She didn´t want to give this up. But maybe she had no other choice. Watching Orochimaru and her father she realised that she might not make it out of this alive.
Y/n listened to her father peaking up at his words. “To protect the village, all the Leaf Shinobi will risk their lives fighting! Real strength doesn´t lie in the mastering of all Jutsu! I believe I taught this to you too, in the past… It´s when one protects someone important that the true strength of the Shinobi will emerge!” These words. Her father had told them to her so many times.
Coughing up blood Hiruzen said “It appears that I don’t have the strength left to yank out your entire soul. However, your ambition ends here! I will take away all your Jutsu with me!” Orochimaru was screaming when he and her father were suddenly pushed away from each other “SEAL” Orochimaru´s arms started to turn purple and fell limp to his sides. “Your ambition of crushing the Hidden Leaf… dies right here!” Her father turned towards her, gave her one last look muttering an “I´m sorry Y/n” and fell.
Numb. She felt numb. Her father he-he he is laying there on the ground. With the last strength she had left, she got up screaming in pain. She had lost another person she loved. Y/n´s screams echoed in the barrier and Orochimaru turned towards her. She was making her way towards him, tears falling from her eyes. Taking out a kunai she stalked towards Orochimaru. Towards the man who was responsible for her father´s death. At the same time, Enma was crawling towards her father. “Sarutobi…” He took the sword and thought that this was a fitting end for someone like him. Dying for his people. Protecting his people. Enma vanished.
Y/n stalked towards him. “OROCHIMARU I WILL KILL YOU!” He felt like his arms were burning, turned towards his subordinates who held up the barrier. “This is where we call off our plan. Release the barrier.” She was launching towards him when one of Orochimaru´s subordinates came in front of him and stabbed his own kunai into her. She fell back and fell. Orochimaru gave her one last look. A pity really, father and daughter dying side by side.
Y/n felt like her whole body was on fire. She was coughing up blood. She wanted to go to him, so she dragged her body up towards her father leaving a bloody trail. When she was next to him, she reached out her hand and took his in her own. Turning her head to the side she saw one last tear drop from his closed eyes. She couldn´t move anymore. Kakashi… I´m sorry…. Hiruzen and Y/n lay there, side by side in a pool of blood.
The barrier was released and all the ninjas surrounding looked at it. Gai, Kakashi, and Genma watched from the middle of the arena. “The barrier is released,” Gai said. All three scowling. It was Genma who said it. “Where is Lord Hokage?”
Kakashi looked up. “Y/n should be there too.”
Orochimaru was fleeing with his subordinates when the Anbu took their chance and followed them but were stopped by a spider net that was released from one of the enemy ninjas.
On the ground, Kabuto and Baki were retreating too. Kakashi Gai and Genma went to the roof where the barrier was only to find…. The two bodies lay there, beat up and bloodied. No, Kakashi thought, not her, she couldn´t be…. He couldn´t move. Gai and Genma checked their heartbeats. Genma shook his head when he checked the Third Hokage, but Gai perked up. “Kakashi she´s still alive.” She was alive.? She was alive! He ran towards her and scooped her up in his arms carrying her to the next medic nin he could find. He looked at her. She felt so limp in his arms. He couldn´t lose her. He didn´t want to lose her.
At the hospital, she was immediately taken care of by the doctors. She had lost so much blood. He slid down a wall in the hallway and looked at his hands. Her blood was sticking to them and starting to dry up. Kakashi didn´t know how long he was sitting there. Soon Asuma, Gai, and Kurenai came, all taking a seat next to him, waiting for any news. Kurenai held Asuma´s hand. He had just lost his father and did not know if his sister would make it. A doctor finally came out and looked at the jonin on the floor. “She made it.” He felt like crying, she was alive. “Asuma-san would you like to see her?” He nodded and got up walking towards the door, and then poked Kakashi with his feet pointing with his head towards the door of the hospital room. No words needed to be said between the two men. Asuma is not stupid. He knew of the little glances, the “accidental” touches, or how much time these two would spend together.
Both men walked through the door. There she was. Covered in bandages and hooked to a monitor. “She´s currently in a stable condition but the healing process might take a while. We´re expecting her to wake up today or tomorrow. I will leave you alone.” Asuma walked towards her. Y/n, his little sister whom he couldn´t protect. Meanwhile, Kakashi stood still by the door. He shouldn´t have let her go after her father alone. He should´ve been with her. But there were so many enemies.
That night when the hospital was silent and everyone slept soundly in their undestroyed homes or tents until they were rebuilt, Kakashi went to Y/n´s hospital room, taking a seat next to her bed. He took her hand in his and told her softly about everything that happened that day, of his students.
He summoned Pakkun, knowing that Y/n enjoyed being around him. “Yes Boss?” the gruffy voice of the pug came. He looked around at the hospital and then at Y/n. “Boss Lady?” He walked towards the face and poked her cheek with his little nose. No words needed to be said as he got comfortable and laid down next to her. Her hand still in Kakashi´s he continued talking.
It was around midnight when he felt it. A little squeeze of his hand. He looked at her and saw her eyes open slightly. Taking off his mask he gently held her head up and gave her some water. Pakkun who had woken up settled against her shoulder. Y/n looked at Kakashi her eyes filling with tears. “I couldn´t protect him.” That was all it took for her to break down. Kakashi slowly took her in his arms and settled into the hospital bed himself with her in his lap, his arms holding her tightly while she cried the whole night.
At sunrise, Asuma came to visit her. It was the day of the funeral and he wanted to see if she could come. When Y/n saw her brother the tears fell again. “I´m sor-“she couldn´t finish her sentence as he had taken her into a hug and held her tightly. He was shaking too. The siblings held onto each other and let out their tears.
It was a rainy day and Y/n and Asuma made their way towards the funeral. Everyone was wearing black. Shinobi and civilians. While walking she held onto her brother, her other hand holding a crutch to keep her up. “Was Kurenai tonight with you?” He nodded. “She refused to leave me alone. Even spend the night. I´m guessing you weren´t alone either?” He looked at his sister. Kakashi was a ninja you could count on and someone who would always have your back so he didn´t mind. She just nodded. Condolences came from everyone they met. She couldn´t remember who had talked to her.
When they arrived, they took their place in the first row, as the Hokage´s children. Konohamaru was between her and Asuma while Kurenai took a place by Asuma´s side. Kakashi simply stood next to her and held her up with an arm around her face. She couldn´t look up. She couldn´t face the picture at the front. Konohamaru was now crying and clinging to her, arms holding her clothes tightly. She hugged him as well as she could. Ignoring the pain from her wounds she let him cling to her and was grateful to Kakashi for holding her up.
It started raining. “Rain,” Kurenai said. Asuma gave the woman by his side a small look “The sky has started to weep as well…”
Her father's former teammates and village elders Homura and Koharu lead the memorial service. She could barely listen. After everyone left a white flower at the table she gave Konohamaru into the care of her brother. Kakashi was already gone. She knew where she would find him. At the memorial stone.
How was she supposed to go there? She looked over at Gai who had already guessed what she was about to do. He carried her towards the direction of the memorial stone and left her there. The last bit she could walk herself as well as she could with an umbrella.
He already felt her. Sensed her chakra. She went to his side and brought her arm around him which was difficult with an umbrella at hand. He leaned into her touch, took the umbrella from her hands to hold over them, and pulled her to his side hugging her and supporting her at the same time. She turned to him and put her head on his chest. He reacted while supporting his chin on her head and holding her tighter.
Both were reminiscing the memories of their loved ones who they´ve lost while being in the arms of each other.

Shisui´s Solace (Shisui x Reader)
Angsty and a bit of fluff (tw: death)
Age 10
Shisui´s home was draped in silence, broken only by the chirps of the birds outside. Shisui, a dedicated Jonin and the breadwinner for his family of three had been caring for his sick father for months. His father's health had steadily declined since he lost his leg in the last shinobi war, and the once-vibrant man had grown frail and unresponsive. Shisui had watched his father slip away slowly, losing recognition of his family, and he had prepared himself for the inevitable.
Shisui sat by his father´s bedside, watching his chest's unrhythmic rise and fall. The once sharp eyes are now empty. Shisui's gaze was heavy with a mixture of sadness and acceptance. He knew that his father's suffering would soon come to an end.
Y/n stood quietly by the doorway, giving her best friend some space but still being close for when he needed her. She too knew what was about to happen. The room grew dimmer as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over Shisui and his father. Shisui reached out and gently took his father's cold, fragile hand in his own. "Dad," he whispered, his voice quivering with emotion, "I hope you find peace soon. You've fought long enough, and it's okay to let go."
His father's chest rose and fell one last time before his breathing ceased altogether. Shisui closed his eyes, tears trickling down his cheeks. It was a bittersweet moment, for while he mourned his father's passing, he also knew that his father's suffering had finally come to an end.
As Shisui sat in the dimly lit room, the weight of his father's passing settled heavily upon him. His eyes, once vibrant and full of life, were now pools of sorrow. The lines on his face deepened as tears continued to stream down his cheeks, wetting the fabric of his father's bedsheet. The silence was palpable, broken only by the soft sounds of his sniffles and the occasional rustling of Y/n shifting her position nearby. Shisui's heart ached, and a profound sense of emptiness seemed to consume him. His father had been a source of strength and wisdom in his life, and the void left by his passing felt insurmountable.
He clung tightly to his father's now lifeless hand, his fingers trembling. "Dad," he whispered, his voice breaking, "I'll miss you so much. You've always been my hero, and I don't know how I'll go on without you."
Y/n watched Shisui with a heavy heart, her own eyes glistening with unshed tears. Y/n moved closer to him, and placed a hand on Shisui´s shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. She knew she wouldn´t be able to take his pain, the loss of a parent was just too grave. But she wanted to show her support. Wanted to show him that she was there if he needed her. No words needed to be said. Shisui´s head hung low as the tears fell to his lap. He was shaking so Y/n moved even closer and hugged him from behind. Not too loose, not too tight.
Shisui turned to Yuna, his expression a mix of sadness and gratitude. "Y/n," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "I just can't believe he's gone. It hurts so much." The girl nodded, her voice equally soft and filled with empathy. "I know, Shisui. It's okay to grieve. You don't have to go through this alone. I'm here for you, always."
After a while, she moved away to pour a glass of water for him. “Thank you Y/n.”
He knew that healing would take time and that his father's memory would forever be a part of him. In that moment of shared sadness and comfort, Shisui found solace in the presence of his best friend, knowing that he didn't have to bear his sorrow alone.
Together, they sat in the quiet room, remembering the man who had been Shisui's father, a man who had once been a pillar of strength for their family.

Summoning her first monkey
Age 9
It was a sunny day in Konoha, and she and her father went out for a walk, which doesn´t happen often. “Father?” “Yes?” “I read in one of the study books that you have a summon. A monkey. Can you show me?” Hiruzen Sarutobi, the third Hokage could only smile at his daughter. Her curiosity amused him.
“Well, first you should never call him just a monkey. His name is Monkey King Enma and he´s very proud of his title. Sometimes he´s like an old grumpy man, like your old man here. But I´ve been through a lot with him by my side. During the second ninja war, he was a trustful companion, so you should pay him your respects when you meet him.” She nodded understandingly. “But why a monkey?” He chuckled at his daughter.
“There is an old legend that monkeys were once the exclusive summons of the Sarutobi clan of our clan. It is said that in the days before villages, a wise giant ape discovered a man wandering in the fog of war, seeking death. The sage tucked the man under his tail and taught him the way of a monkey. This troublesome man was the ancestor of our clan, and since that day, the wise giant swore loyalty to this man and his family only if they were loyal to him.”
With that, he bit his finger and crouched down. A mark appeared and then in front of her, in his prideful glory, stood Monkey King Enma. He was even taller than she imagined, his looks reminding her of her father. Enma towered over her and when he glanced down she took a step back. “Enma, this is my daughter Y/n, you´ve heard of her.” Enma glanced at her and then took a step towards Y/n. She stood still. There was no way she would show any sign of fear in front of the Monkey King. He extended his giant hand and petted her head. “Well, well, you´re taller than you were the last time I saw you.” He let out a deep belly laugh. “Enma, she was just born when you met her.” Enma looked at her intently and then turned to her father. “She could be ready for it.” Hiruzen exchanged a look with his daughter and then with his summon. “Are you sure? Isn’t she too young?” “Too young for what?” Her father turned towards her. “Y/n, would you like to have your own summon?” She could not believe her ears. She? Her monkey? Her face brightened at the idea. What would Shisui say to this? Oh, she knows her friend will be just as joyful. She eagerly nodded and her father and Enma let out a chuckle. “Well, well young Sarutobi” He took a scroll from his back and laid it out. “Sign here with your blood and we will perform a reverse summoning to Jigokudani (Hell´s Valley). It´s where we reside and where you can officially get your own summon.” She bit into her finger and started writing down her name, right next to her father's. When she was finished Enma took the scroll and vanished. Looking at her father confused he simply closed his eyes and looked up to the sun. “Now, we wait until we´re summoned.”
Five minutes later she felt a strange sensation and knew it was time. The world around her went white and suddenly she was standing in a green forest like lace, surrounded by monkeys. Right next to her stood her father. Enma separated himself from the others and walked towards her. “Y/n Sarutobi are you aware of the responsibility you will have once you do your first summoning?” She nodded eagerly. “Well then, step in the middle. Do these signs and put your hand with your blood on the ground. ” She did as told. Something was happening. She felt it. Suddenly a small cloud appeared next to her and from this cloud a small monkey emerged, smaller than the length of her arm, staring up at her. She heard all the monkeys around her breathe in and turned towards Enma. What was happening? “Enki.” Enki? “Your summon is my son, Enki.” She looked at the small monkey in front of her and now the resemblance was obvious. Cautiously she stretched out her hand and little Enki reached towards it. When their hands touched Enki leaped forwards and started crawling up, resting his head on her shoulder and wrapping his arms around her. She held the little one close to her chest, immediately feeling a connection.

Meeting Itachi for the first time
(Shisui x Reader)
Age 8
Shisui and Y/n continued with their missions and were soon known for their great teamwork but also their success rate. When Shisui and Y/n were assigned a mission, one could be sure that they would return successfully.
When the both of them had a free day Shisui told Y/n about Itachi. “I met him yesterday. He´s also an Uchiha and I´m sure that you will like him. He´s a bit younger than us but reeeeeally talented.” Y/n could only smile seeing her best friend so animatedly talking about the boy. “So he´s your cousin or?”
“Kind of, we´re from the same Clan but not directly related. More like distantly related.” “I'm looking forward to meeting him.” Just then, Itachi emerged from the trees, his long, onyx hair framing his composed face. He had an air of maturity that was uncommon for someone his age, and his sharingan eyes seemed to see through everything. His steps were graceful, and his presence demanded respect. "Itachi," Shisui called out, "This is Y/n. She's an amazing shinobi and a close friend of mine."
Itachi inclined his head slightly, sending a small smile towards Y/n. "Nice to meet you, Y/n. Shisui speaks highly of you. Everyday." “Well not EVERY day you know, just here and there.” Shisui nervously replied scratching the back of his head. Y/n couldn't help but be struck by Itachi's calm demeanor. “It´s also nice to meet you Itachi. I hope we can be friends.” Sending the boy a bright smile. Itachi's lips quirked up slightly in a small, almost imperceptible smile.
Over the next few hours, the three of them engaged in various training exercises. Y/n and Itachi demonstrated their impressive skills, sharing techniques and strategies. Itachi was genuinely impressed by Y/n's quick thinking and adaptability. She had a natural talent that he couldn't help but admire. As the sun began to dip, Shisui watched with satisfaction how his cousin and his best friend got along. Itachi had taken a liking to Y/n. Before they parted ways, Itachi turned to Y/n. "Y/n, I hope we can train together again sometime.” Y/n nodded with a grin. "I'd love that, Itachi.”
Shisui couldn't have been happier with how the meeting had gone. He had hoped that Y/n and Itachi would get along, and it seemed that his wish had come true.

Mourning the death of a friend
(Shisui x Reader)
continuation of "Awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan"
It was a rainy day. Shisui, Y/n, Shikaku and other Shinobi who knew Asahi gathered for his memorial. One of many. So many lives were lost because of the war. So many young shinobi who had their future ahead of them died. Y/n and Shisui were devastated, having lost their friend. The only thing keeping them up is Shikaku´s hands on each of their shoulder. Y/n looked up to her sensei. “Sensei, what do we do now?” Shikaku had a solemn look on his face. “We continue our duty and try to protect those who cannot protect themselves.” She looked over at Shisui whose hands were clenched at his sides. Silent tears ran down his cheeks.
After the funeral Shisui and Y/n went over to Shisui´s, his mother preparing some food for them both. No words were spoken between the two of them. After eating they spend some time sitting on the porch. Shisui suddenly looked over to Y/n. A determined look on his face. “I´m never letting someone die again. I promise you Y/n. Never again.” She just looked at her best friend and nodded. “Shisui, during the fight, your eyes changed. What happened?” Shisui was silent for a moment. “I had told you about the different stages of the Sharingan once do you remember? It´s like the normal Sharingan, only much more powerful.” She nodded in understanding. It was obvious that from this day on Shisui would be on a completely different level than her. She just hoped that they could still continue their missions together.

Awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan
Age 6
The Third Great Shinobi War raged on, engulfing the ninja world in a maelstrom of chaos and conflict. Their team had been assigned to a mission deep within enemy territory, tasked with gathering crucial intelligence that could turn the tide of the war in the Hidden Leaf Village's favor. As they moved stealthily through the enemy's stronghold, tension hung in the air. Shisui, Y/n, and Asahi knew that this mission was different, more dangerous than any they had faced before. The enemy forces were numerous and well-prepared, and the risk of discovery was ever-present.
As they crept through the darkened tunnels beneath the enemy fortress, Asahi's keen senses detected an approaching patrol. Without a word, he signaled to Shisui and Y/n the whereabouts of the enemies, and the three of them quickly covered in the shadows. The enemy ninjas passed dangerously close; their voices hushed but still audible. As the enemy patrol moved away, Asahi breathed a sigh of relief.
However, their relief was short-lived. Suddenly, the ground beneath them trembled, and the tunnel began to collapse. The enemy had set a trap, and their escape route was blocked. Shisui and Y/n were fast enough to escape the ground trap but it caught Asahi, leaving him immobile and stuck. “ASAHI!” Y/n`s scream echoed through the forest as she leaped to her teammate. The earth trap had Asahi in a tight grasp not only leaving no room for movement but also squeezing him tighter and tighter by the minute. while Shisui started to fight against the enemies Y/n activated her chakra blades Y/n tried to shatter the trap. A fruitless effort. Asahi was stuck and more force would only hurt him. “Y/n, Shisui, run away, leave me here.” Neither Shisui nor Y/n even thought about leaving their friend for a minute.
The enemy nin continued their attacks, Shisui successfully countering them with his Sharingan and his incredible speed. But one attack went through his defense right towards Asahi and Y/n. Y/n blocked the attack by using her blades as a shield and creating a chakra barrier between them and the attack. She could hear Asahi´s breathing get unrhythmic. He didn´t have long. “Y/n…. use your blades…. I don´t care… get me out of here.” She could hardly say no to this request. Raising the chakra flowing into the blades she sliced through the earth trap, also slicing into Asahi´s arm. A gruelling scream was heard but now Asahi was free, although wounded. Y/n held a squirming Asahi in her arms and tried to stop the bleeding with her hands. Completely focused on her task she didn´t sense an enemy nin approaching from behind, deadly sharp kunai ready to throw. She didn´t sense it, but Asahi did. He knew it was over for him. When he first got trapped he realised that he had gotten internal bleeding and would probably not make it back to Konoha. But he could do one last thing.
Asahi, always the quickest thinker, realized that their situation was dire. With a solemn determination in his eyes, they made a split-second decision. Using their own body as a shield, he intercepted a deadly attack aimed at Y/n, taking the blow that was meant for his friend. Time seemed to slow as Asahi fell to the ground, injured and gasping for breath. Shisui's and Y/n´s eyes widened in horror and grief as they watched their friend's sacrifice. It was a moment that would haunt them forever. Asahi managed a weak smile, blood staining their lips. "Shisui... Y/n.. thank you for being my friends." With those final words, Asahi's eyes closed, and the breathed his last breath. Shisui's heart ached with sorrow and rage. When Y/n looked up from Asahi´s head on her lap she looked into the Sharingan eyes she became accustomed to. But they had changed. In that moment of overwhelming grief, his Mangekyo Sharingan awakened. The world around Shisui transformed as he unleashed its devastating power, exacting vengeance upon the enemy forces that had taken his friend. As the battle raged on, Shisui's Mangekyo Sharingan allowed him to turn the tide, defeating the enemy with a ferocity and strength that he had never possessed before. But the victory was bittersweet, as Asahi's sacrifice weighed heavily on his heart.

Meeting Shisui for the first time
Age 5
On the first day of the academy, young y/n was nervous, to say the least. As the daughter of the third Hokage, many people had high expectations of her. Her older brother Asuma was already a genin and couldn´t be there for her on her big day and neither was her father. Unsure of what to do the young girl just stared at her feet, hoping the day would pass fast. “Hey, you´re the daughter of Lord Third, right?” Y/n stared at the black eyes of a raven-haired boy with a cute smile that highlighted his dimples. “Yes, I´m Y/n.” She bowed slightly to the boy who then sheepishly scratched the back of his neck. “I´m Shisui Uchiha.” Uchiha? She thought.
That means he´s also from a big clan from Konoha. But that also means… “Do you already have your Sharingan? Can you show me?” Y/n´s curiosity got the best of her and she could only stare at the boy in front of her and hope that she would see the famous Sharingan firsthand. But then he started laughing. “No, no, I haven´t awakened mine yet. But I hope it will happen soon. Don´t worry I will tell you.” This interaction marked the beginning of an inseparable friendship between the two.
Only half a year later both were placed on the same genin Team alongside their friend Asahi under the lead of Shikaku Nara. Shikaku saw great potential in his three students and was positive that all three would reach Jonin rank before their 10th birthday. If all would be able to see it, since the nations were in the middle of the third shinobi war one could only hope that they would make it out alive.
Age 6
On a sunny day, their team found themselves in the hokage´s office to get their next mission. It would be one without their sensei since both Shisui and Y/n had attained their chunin vests. Lord Third gave the three a simple escort mission to protect a valuable scroll being delivered to a neighboring village.
As they stood at the village gates, Y/n adjusted her headband and vest and glanced at her friends. Shisui, with his characteristic calm and enigmatic smile, was sharpening a kunai while Asahi stared at the sky seemingly lost in thought. It might have been an odd sight, seeing the three young children preparing themselves but all three were highly skilled shinobi. “Alright, team let´s go.” Shisui declared with determination in his voice.
They set off into the dense forest that separated the Hidden Leaf Village from their destination, the Village of Whispers. The journey was long, and as they went deeper into the woods, the atmosphere grew more tense. The forest was known for its unpredictability, with traps and dangers lurking around every corner. All of them were aware that a simple mission could turn dangerous as they were still in the middle of a war and even enemy shinobi would not hesitate to kill them.
Shisui took the lead, and his Sharingan activated to sense any potential threats. Asahi kept a watchful eye on their surroundings, ready to react at a moment´s notice. Y/n, ready to use her Chakra blades that were so like her older brother´s was also on alert.
As they moved through the forest, they encountered a group of rogue ninjas from a rival village who were intent on stealing the valuable scroll. The battle was fierce, with the enemy ninja using their jutsu to gain the upper hand. Shisui's Sharingan allowed him to anticipate their moves, while Asahi's precise strikes incapacitated their foes. Amid battle, Shisui found himself surrounded by two particularly skilled opponents. As he dodged their attacks with swift movements, he noticed Asahi, who had been silently observing, moving into position to assist him alongside Y/n. Asahi used his wind style to throw the enemies that attacked Shisui from behind toward Y/n who tried to have her friends backs by slicing through every enemy that came into her way. Without a word, they coordinated their attacks flawlessly, taking down their adversaries in a spectacular display of teamwork. The rogue nin were no match for the three, especially for the teammate with incredible fire jutsus and the Sharingan. Clothes dirtied with blood the three reached their destination and successfully delivered the scroll. After reporting to the Hokage Shisui, Y/n and Asahi stood exhausted in front of the Hokage tower, just dwelling in silence.
