This is actually insane i feel insane.

I have maybe reached a new level of insanity by noticing this but I cannot get over the garbage piles (or, ya know.... trash heaps) in undertale... And I'm surprised no one has directly pointed this out yet, but like.

There is a broken crt, and a mailbox right next to one another. (EDIT: I should also point out, there IS a game console right above them too. I really don't think this is just coincidence.)

(Edit 2 electric boogaloo: if you look carefully enough it looks as if there’s a massive crack down the center of the tv screen. Almost as if it were cleaved.)

Update THREE… turns out one of the many things these garbage piles ARE IN FACT CALLED, In game, is a trash heap.

THATS WHAT IM SAYINGGG. Like ive been off the ‘Papyrus is the knight’ train for a while now since I really want it to be Dess, but lets not pretend it wasnt a valid theory.

Both of the skeleton brothers are silly AND mysterious, THAT’S why I love them. They both have quirks about them that go unexplained, fourth wall break moments, hidden strengths, unclear pasts and origins. You can’t just give all that mystery to Sans and turn Papyrus into a one-dimensional joke, not only do both the characters suffer but its also SO. BORING.

Youre gonna look me in the glasses and tell me Papyrus is weak and has no depth or secrets whatsoever?? Sure man, the skeleton being followed around by the annoying dog has nothing going on underneath.

Its so frustrating to see fandom interpretations where Sans just pats a clueless Papyrus on the head and lies when he calls him cool. THEY BOTH GENUINELY ADMIRE EACHOTHER. THEY ARE BOTH UNABASHEDLY THEMSELVES. THEY NEED EACHOTHER. DO NOT SEPARATE.

im just ramblng here but im not gonna lie fellas it really does kinda suck, just a little bit, that ppl genuinely just refuse to ever take papyrus seriously as a character. & tbh i think his absence in deltarune has somehow been making that worse??

like i agree that knight papyrus isn't very plausible from a narrative standpoint, but it's been frustrating to see ppl start acting like it wasn't ever anything more than a silly joke or crack theory. outside of the extremely-obvious-Holidays, papyrus is by far one of the most fitting candidates for the knight's identity & he still has yet to be anywhere near as solidly debunked as basically every other pre-ch3 knight theory has been (other than, again, the obvious)

to me it almost feels like the longer we go without him being involved in anything, more people are starting to treat him like he's just a shallow joke character instead of, yknow, a character

and like. yeah papyrus is goofy as all hell. he is a very very VERY comedic character who i'll admit is rarely, if ever, written seriously, even in the actual game he comes from. but the thing that makes him a great character is when you look at him underneath all that silliness

and the thing is, that's what you do with literally every other character already. that's how most ppl engage with undertale/deltarune's stories in the first place. but when it comes to papyrus specifically, for some reason, people just. don't even want to entertain the idea that there could be anything more going on there at all

all these theories about sans & what could possibly happen in dr for sans to get stuck in ut or whatever, & then papyrus is just like. there. he has nothing to do with anything, ever. even tho he & sans are both canonically stated to have arrived in snowdin at the same time

i have genuinely seen more people suggest that deltarune sans straight up left his brother behind before they ever considered that papyrus could perhaps, maybe, possibly, also be weird & mysterious

every weird thing he ever says is either taken completely at face value or used as evidence for yet another theory about sans and sans alone

man. idk man. it's sucks‼️‼️‼️

I’ve yapped about this on many occasions but the joy I get from female deltarune characters is unreal. I know the bar is in hell for well-written female characters but its so refreshing to see such complex nuanced female leads that break the mold.

I love seeing artists that just GET IT when they draw fanart of them. Embracing their animal features, pushing their expressions and poses, showing their strong and soft sides, exploring their deeper meanings, making them scary and mysterious and ethereal and masculine and smart and stupid.

Dont even get me started on the nonbinary rep and how seen I feel. Im mentally unwell from these last couple chapters.
