uh starting off, it’s not an au, but i am scripting that it’s year 2 of jma, so that all of the darkstalker stuff will have already happened, and jma is pretty much fixed. i didn’t want to script darkstalker entirely out, because i do think he was a very important part of the story, and in finding pantala.

i’m gonna be an icewing!! i think they’re pretty and it fits my dr family already. and i’m curious to seeing how the kingdom will be after snowfall destroys the ranking wall

i am attending jma(Jade Mountain Academy), in year 2 (as i’ve stated), so not all of the same dragons will be there(unfortunately the jade winglet won’t be there [or maybe they will?? i don’t think so?? the pacing of the books is a tad confusing]..) i’m gonna be in the quartz winglet. i’m changing few of the dragons, since they didn’t get lots of screentime(or none, on some) so we have no insights on most of their personalities , but i’ll quickly go in depth.

quartz winglet:

icewing: irbis(snow leopard in polish). myself.

mudwing: newt. male. based on one of my better cr friends. golden retriever-ish. himbo. thinks you can solve anything if you try hard enough and work with sibs.

nightwing: gemface. female. her name is inspired by blotchy green scales she has covering her snout and around her eyes, not to be confused with mindreading/foretelling nightwing scales. still dislikes/is nervous around icewings. clever. cynical. has an appetite that can rival only clay’s.

rainwing: siamang. female. purple. pretty. acts a bit ditzy, is actually very smart. loves to paint. is a bit wary of nightwings, not outright but wouldn’t want to be stuck in a room with one. strongly crushing on coconut(copper winglet).

sandwing: coyote. male. strongly based on one of my better cr friends. annoying. has an unusually darkly colored barb. used to be a nomad, but now that thorn’s in charge he lives on the outskirts of the kingdom. loves poking the bear. oddly sensitive. gets along well with everyone.

seawing: barracuda. nonbinary. rambunctious. green speckled with yellow. kind of hard to get along with, it’s either their way/ideas/interests or they don’t want to talk to you. thinks they’re beloved by everyone. loud.

skywing: caldera. female. unusually sweet for a skywing. a very bright orange. kind of low energy. large. can be fierce occasionally, but mostly mellow. overreacts at times. prone to falls.

my clawmates are coyote and gemface. coyote’s prone to leaving his things around, and he snores, but other than that he’s an okay clawmate. you get used to him. when i first meet him i think he’s incredibly annoying, but he grows on me. like mold on rotten fruit. tries to make it his life’s mission to annoy me though, so 6/10.

gemface is generally uncomfortable around me. i’m not sure if she thinks i’m going to attack her while she’s sleeping or what, but on the first night, she tries to subtly barricade her bed with books and blankets. not subtle at all. she also tends to eat food in the room, and she reads aloud. 5/10.

also there’ll(in the future) be a pantala exchange program!

question for lowk like anybody who has something to say…

so like, in my entire shifting journey i think i’ve had 1 close experience to shifting. it was a few years ago i was listening to music and i remember feeling tired and suddenly it felt like i was spinning.. but i could feel myself looking at myself spinning.. yeah idk how to explain it any better. but i was woken up by family and then after that i just fell asleep.

other than that, i haven’t had any other “symptoms” or anything that seems like shifting. i’ve been actively trying probably a total of 2 or 3 years and have never gotten close. every night it’s the same thing, i either turn on a subliminal or music or maybe even nothing, get comfy, think about my dr or start counting or something like that and then fall asleep or wait there for 3-4 hours and finally get up.

other shifters who haven’t fully shifted yet say they’ve gotten close, they were in the void state or they were there but just couldn’t ground themselves. i haven’t even BRUSHED upon that level yet. so.. what should I do to get there?

if my words and language used in this post sound depressing or somewhat helpless, i promise u i don’t (completely) feel like that— just more curious than disappointed

am i looking at my journey the wrong way? idk. anyone else kinda relate???

i’ve finished my script

i’ve gone three days without trying shifting at night because i kind of forgot about it

so what do i do now??? uhh post more?? i literally have a full fleshed neighborhood(with a gossip newsletter and groupchats and a homeowners council) scripted with neighbors and i have no idea what to do… noww
