girl dad! Ben headcanons

a/n: this is absolutely self-indulgent fluffy fluff, my brain just wrote it on its own. i know it in the depths of my soul he would be the best dad ever 😭 hope y'all enjoy, while waiting for other (slightly more serious) fics! 💛

you have two little girls close in age, which means double trouble, and double the fun (for easier writing purposes i will name them Florence and Edith)

naturally they needed some time to adjust to Ben’s new looks and powers, but the moment they realized that now he is way stronger, as well as taller and more durable, meaning they can pester him more… absolute joy

this made his heart even bigger and softer if possible

if his favorite girls loved him, all was well in the world

they have tiny F4 shirts and pajamas, obviously, and any cool merch they can get their little hands on - how cool it is to have a superhero dad, uncles and aunt?

maybe your daughters can’t practice their hairstyling skills on dad anymore, but you know what they can do?

color him with chalks! and by god they do

this results in family nights like this: you leaning against Ben with one of his arms around you as you watch TV or have a soft conversation, and his other arm is occupied by your two little girls as they paint the stones with colorful chalks. the happiness! 

Ben always makes them the breakfast they want, pancakes in fun shapes and all that

piggyback rides galore, only that Florence sits on one of his shoulder, and Edith on the other one - they’re definitely broad enough 

they love hanging around the kitchen while he cooks, but he will not let them sit on the counter lest they cut themselves or get a burn

which is amazing for you, because the amount of breakfasts in bed you’ve gotten is just heavenly

you three girls and Sue love to have a nice girls day together - Flo and Edith adore her - and Ben will pretend to be relieved to have you out of the house, but will absolutely miss his girls

he will listen attentively to their stories and recounts of their day, and will absolutely ask follow-up questions

if he’d been protective before, that just increased tenfold when he became more of a public figure

in your girls’ eyes he is the strongest, bravest, greatest person of all time

they draw your family all the time and you hang it up on the fridge (“My hair doesn’t look like that” - Johnny, probably)

uncle Johnny spoils them to no end and he enables all their crazy ideas and whims, he claims he is their favorite

don’t even get me started on the chaotic trio of Florence, Edith and Franklin… 

Ben gets you weekly flower bouquets, and two small ones for the girls

many times in the evening you hear him telling them a bedtime story and doing different voices for different characters (he won’t admit it)

the girls fall asleep on him super easily, they just find him comforting, warm and safe

if they get a cut or bruise, dad’s kisses fix everything

also if they have a bad/moody day, they go get cookies and a milkshake together

sadly for the two of them, they can’t tickle attack him anymore, but you know what they can do? try to climb him (of course he lets them, a bit begrudgingly lol)

even though Ben isn’t super comfortable with that, beach days with the family always turn out fun

do the girls bury him in sand? absolutely

do they jump into the water off of his shoulders? absolutely

Johnny pranks them by melting their ice-cream, and gets lightly blasted by Sue in return

you, Ben and the girls definitely have matchy holiday pajamas - usually he wouldn’t be up for it, but when three pairs of puppy eyes look up at him…

“Mommy, someone said that dad is scary looking, I told ‘em to PISS OFF”

“Where did you learn that word?!”
