Spencer Reid x Reader (female)

A/N- Much like Adam Driver, I have been a huge fan of Matthew Gray Gubler and criminal minds for years. With quarantine, I decided to re-watch the show from the beginning and I had some inspiration. My writing tends to take a while but if you have any requests or idea for Spencer Reid, please send them my way.

QUANTICO, VIRGINIA

“Good morning my lover and friends. As of 8:45 am, yesterday morning, four bodies have been found across the Washington State area. Locations confirmed to be Pomeroy, Baker City, Salem, and Mill Creek. All victims were very similar in physical appearance; Caucasian, red hair, brown eyes, approximately 5ft 4’.”

Garcia swiped her tablet to display family photographs of the victims on the screen. The team watched, in the debriefing room, as they scanned through their own tablets; reading through the details. Spencer’s eyes flittered over the images as his fingers scanned across the words in his paper file; still adamant on not working with technology like the rest of his team.

“What about the cause of death? How were they found?”

Garcia shivered at Rossi’s question.

“It’s not a pretty image. Each victim was dismembered at the elbows, knees, neck, and stomach. Further cuts were made vertically down the stomach and across the face, arms, and legs. Not deep enough to cut through bone, but deep enough to bleed out. Where the unsub cut our victims, he then sewed them back together.”

Emily looked up at Garcia.

“Are you saying the lacerations were made before the victim’s died?”

“Precisely. Each autopsy report came back the same with the cause of death pointing to the direction of blood loss; specifically, from the throat.”

The team looked at the new images before them. Multiple pictures appeared on the screen, showing the bodies of the victims. The pictures showing the women laid out in the same pose, thick thread holding together the pieces of their corpses. All had their eyes closed, except one.

“Garcia, the last victim, zoom into her face.”

Garcia did as Spencer asked.

“Her eyes are closed.”

Spencer nodded, glancing towards JJ as she spoke.

“Meaning that he felt remorse for this murder.”

Derek scrolled through the pictures on his tablet.

“The other three victim’s eyes are open, indicating that he wanted them to look. To watch what he was doing, whatever it may have been.”

Spencer looked across the table at the questioning faces.

“So, what changed between the third and the fourth victim?”

Hotch stood from his seat, indicating the others to grab their belonging.

“We can discuss further on jet. Wheels up in thirty.”

WASHINGTON STATE

Being greeted by the local police department in Clagstone, Spencer and the team began their investigation into the murders. Spencer did not know what it was, but the stitching on the bodies felt familiar. Like he had seen them before.

Looking up from his files, Spencer watched as Derek walked into the room, ending a call with who he could only presume to be Garcia.

“Garcia has just completed background checks on our latest victim. Lily Trent visited local film screenings at the Southview Centre religiously, to watch horror movies in particular. Seems like the girl loved anything horror and Halloween; according to her roommate and her computer history. It seems that are other victims did also.”

Spencer stood from his seat and walked towards the whiteboard at the back of the room. Writing down the details Derek stated, his brain began to filter through the relevant information needed.

“Halloween is ranked the ninth most celebrated holiday in the world. With different interpretations of the holiday occurring according to country and culture. Wearing costumes at Halloween did not even become an occurrence until 1585, with the first instance recorded in Scotland.”

Derek chuckled at Reid’s excitement. He knew the boy loved Halloween.

“Well it all looks like they were pretty huge fans of the holiday and horror films. Maybe our unsub was too.”

Spencer looked down at the photos in his hand, scanning his memory for any correlation.

“Maybe, it’s not just horror, but a particular film. If all the victims were presented in a certain way, maybe the unsub is trying to replicate what happened to a character in a particular film.”

Derek crossed his arms over his chest.

“I’ll call Garcia to search through all the victims search history to see if any particular horror films come up in each one. Do you know of any films that the unsub could have replicated?”

Spencer shook his head.

“I can collate his actions to hundreds of films but, the method of torture and look of the victims, I can’t think of one horror feature that pinpoints all that the unsub has done.”

A thought unexpectedly popped into Spencer’s mind. Derek cocked his head at the sudden halt from the resident genius.

“But I know someone who might.”

peter parker was created by stan lee and steve ditko to send ONE message and it was about how no matter circumstance anyone can become great. spider-man is supposed to be a story about a poor jewish boy that slowly becomes a better person and learns the value of responsibility. with great power yadda yadda.

the mcu stripped spider-man of everything that made him unique and special (lower class, abrasive personality, ruthlessly bullied in school, self-made) and turned him into a easily digestible middle class tony stark apprentice that 1) didn’t even make that suit himself 2) relied on tony for everything. they LITERALLY took a character that has been canonically poor for DECADES and wiped out all of the story that comes with that just so that rich-ass tony stark could be his ‘mentor’. peter parker never had a mentor. that’s the entire point

mcu peter parker is very obviously a ripoff of miles morales’ story (superhero mentor, ned is LITERALLY miles’ friend ganke, etc) and it pisses me off because not only did they whitewash miles morales, they erased every part of peter’s story that made him significant since nineteen sixty fucking two . good fucking evening

she had been staring at the nogitsune for the last half hour from a dark corner in the room, she hadn’t even sat up.

the thing was that even though stiles wasn’t there, amaya couldn’t help but be fooled by the old fox. she guessed that’s why scott had out the tape over his mouth, they couldn’t stand the fact that they had to see their stiles suffer and bleed so maybe if they dehumanized him as much as possible, maybe that way it wouldn’t be so hard.

but the blood spilling from the cut in stiles’ body made amaya nauseous because even if they were tying up and hurting the nogitsune, stiles was still there.

amaya’s feet’s started moving in autopilot, like they had a mind of its own towards the mccall kitchen where she knew melissa kept the medical kit they had used oh so many times now. she scrambled for some alcohol, gauze and medical tape emotionless, knowing she would regret doing what she was about to do and knowing the nogitsune would take it as an act of weakness.

“hey, stilinski” her voice came out croaked from lack of use but it still sounded more like a coo.

his black eyes turned to her, like a reassurance; that is not her stilinski.

“this looks nasty, man. i’ll clean it up for you” her shaky fingers started working without another word nor look.

his skin was cold and so pale it almost looked like a shade of blue; that is not stilinski.

“maya, get away from him” scott blurted from behind her with a tired voice.

his fingers were completely still, and she reminded herself that if it was really him, he could never; that is not stilinski.

“if he bleeds out, the idiot doesn’t come back.”

“if he breaks free, the idiot possessing the idiot will kill you”

amaya stared at the white patch on his stomach and let out a sigh, debating whether or not to look him in the eyes. there was no reason for him not to try anything as he did with melissa but then again, the fox was defenseless, it was time he finally gave up.

amaya being unapologetically amaya looked up and let out the words she had been dying to say, not trying to convince herself this time.

“we are going to bring you back, stiles” his eyes were pitch black and face emotionless but somehow staring dead back into her golden one’s; this was not her stiles “ i promise you, we are”

Stop abusing your boyfriends and yes what you are doing is abuse.

Stop:

Yelling at him in front of his friends 

Hitting or slapping him when he does or says something you don’t like

Telling him he doesn’t have a choice when it comes to decisions that involve both of you 

Telling him he can’t hang out with friends because you don’t like him

Telling him to not talk to other girls even if they are his friend

Forcing him to spend every moment with you 

Belittling him and pointing out all his flaws

Calling him stupid or making fun of him for making a mistake

Threatening to break up with him if he doesn’t do what you want

Being emotionally manipulative and crying until he does what you want

Accusing him of cheating every time he’s not with you

Blow up is phone if he doesn’t text you every five minutes 

Telling him you are the must thing that has ever happened to him and no one else will love

Physically attacking him when ever you are mad

Forcing him to have sex despite that fact that he said he didn’t want to

Invading his privacy by going through his phone

Getting mad at him for changing his password and demanding he tell you what it is

If a guy did any of these things to a girl it would be considered abuse but since its the other way around its considered normal. Throughout High school I saw many girl treating their boyfriends like shit. Sometime even physically abusing them in the hallways and no one trying to stop it because its a girl attacking a boy. 

Boys: If your girlfriend does anything on this list leave her. It is abuse and you deserve better.

Girls: if you find your self doing anything on this list to your boyfriend you need to knock it off because you are being abusive.

“amaya, here” stiles handed the short girl a tool which she did not know what it was or how to use “help me”

“i- um, stiles?” the boy was rambling about how this always happened and he couldn’t get a good week at peace while his feet took him from here to there “s-stiles!”

he turned around to see amaya holding the tool in a weird angle with a frown, he lifted an eyebrow in question.

“i don’t know how to use this”

“what the fuck?” the boy was outraged, like she had just told him she ate babies for breakfast. ‘you know, a very nutritive way to start the day!’

“yeah, in fact, i don’t know how to use any kind of tool and i don’t know jackshit about cars. me and my lady-brain are truly very sorry for meeting the stereotype of stupid woman gets stuck at the side of the road because of a flat tire, i’m sure i can’t handle it; however if you think about it real well, meticulously even, you come to a conclusion that cars aren’t really that interestin—“

“okay, okay!” he decided to stop the rambling the girl had started in just a few seconds, motioning for her to come closer to him “i’ll teach you how to use it”

“huh?” it was safe to say, she was shocked. she expected for stiles to tease her or at least lecture her a little more.

“i’ll teach you” he said, slowly this time.

hesitantly, she did got closer to stiles, crouching over at his side with wide eyes and willing to learn, a real difference from when his father had tried to teach her which had ended with her ensuing in a beautifully constructed argument of how her worth was not defined by how many basic skills she had or hadn’t.

“you own a car, maya. you know how many things could happen if you actually got stuck at the side of the road and didn’t know how to change a flat tire?”

“shut up and explain why that thingy opens?” coming a little closer and using stiles’ shoulder to support her chin, the boy with a now racing heart shut up, suppressed a nervous smile and explained why the thingy opened.
