Summary:

Empire rules all. Death Star II was never destroyed, and it became the centerpoint of the Galaxy. He was given an important task — to maintain the Empire's Reaper, a seemingly mindless Terror Trooper called Kylo Ren, and as with everything, Hux gives it his all. But what if the Terror Trooper isn't as mindless as everyone thinks? And what will happen, should Hux start seeing him as more than just a weapon to fix and improve?

Finally finished the portrait of the main character of my kylux-unrelated Star Wars story Imitra. His name is Leith Walka, 29, and he is the captain of a First Order garrison on an Outer Rim planet called Imitra, a place of many mysteries but little importance. He is a reserved, taciturn person, who is nevertheless quite inquisitive and can be rather ruthless, if the situation calls for it. Serving under him is his older sister Lenga as well as her wife Hyrgun, a TIE pilot. Leith is from Ord Mantell, but he doesn't remember that place (he was 2 when the family was evacuated). On Imitra he comes to realise he likes water. The differences between a life on a Star Destroyer and on a planet often baffle him. (Clouds! Sandstorms! Flowers! Subterranean cults sworn to silence! Myths of shadow fishes! Rude Togruta ladies! Entitled seers! Mayors with no sense of personal space!)

I dreamt about my mother again.

She passed away very suddenly some six years ago, and since then, I've had several dreams which included her, and most of them were of the unpleasant kind. Which is just unfortunate, because I am a very introverted person, and I was very close with my mom.

No idea why she only ever appears in my nightmares. (Well, I do have some suspicions, but hard to tell if they're correct.)

In the latest dream, she took me on a trip to a secluded mountain retreat. It was a huge log cabin built on top of a snowy mountain range. Part of it was owned by a weird commune - a cult - and before too long, I found out mother was one of its members.

In fact, that commune was worshipping the devil. And by chance, I overheard that mother was pregnant with twins. And she wanted me to join in as well.

By then, her face became warped. It was strangely bloated and greenish and all wet, with hair plastered against it, as if she had drowned a while ago.

I ran from her and escaped through the window, then ran back inside and took a long stairway down to a safe part of the hotel, while she notified the rest of the commune I was on the run.

I think I escaped, but I wish these things would stop happening.

Fic Updates

I'm sorry to whoever is waiting for a new chapter of A Matter of Force. Not only have I been swamped with extreme amounts of work, I also caught a cold a week ago, which went straight for my bronchial tubes.

For the past five days, I've been coughing my lungs out while feeling utterly miserable. I'm constantly exhausted, and my ribs hurt as heck.

Bronchitis must be one of the worst diseases one can suffer with.

That said, as soon as I've recovered, I'll continue where I stopped.

Just a quick update on the war in Ukraine. North Korea now officially takes part in russia-Ukraine war by sending its troops in order to kill Ukrainians. So Ukraine now must defeat 2 nuclear totalitarian states: russia and north korea. While West is just being deeply concerned.
