Sun in Fire Signs: Aries, Leo & Sagittarius
originally published on @siderealmaven's patreon
When the Sun is in an Fire sign like Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, we get an individual that is focused on using their willpower and creativity to change the world around them. Fire Suns are Visionaries who have a lot of big ideas about how to improve things and the never-ending audacity to try. These are the early risers of the zodiac who get up at the crack of dawn to power through their to-do list. Somehow, they are also the night owls who stayed up all night and are probably late to their friend’s get-together the next day. Which is to say, Fire Suns are top tier busy bodies who make everyone else wonder where they get the time to do All Of That. We admire Fire Suns for their abundant energy, glittering enthusiasm and striking ambition. When your Sun is in a Fire Sign, the world is a box of sand and you’ve got all the tools to shape it in your image.
This makes them excellent leaders of all kinds, but especially politicians and activists. You’ll also find them in fields that allow them to have influence such as acting, directing, writing, teaching, music and the arts. Others choose to go for a route that lets them push their bodies to the limits like professional sports, fitness, nutrition, etc. Lastly, you’ll see them in places where conflict is abundant and lives are on the line such as medicine, the military, security, policing, etc.
The downside to having the Sun in fire sign is that they tend to take on more they can handle. They might struggle to prioritize their tasks and responsibilities, trying to do everything at once and on their own. They’re the least likely to ask for help, usually out of fear it will make them look weak or incapable. The truth is Fire Suns can get distracted by the desire for validation and fail to set boundaries around their energy. It’s important for them to learn how to balance out their ambition with the need for rest and relaxation. I would also advise the Fire Suns to be discerning with whom and when they share their opinions. Not everyone is looking for your input or wants to do things your way. Don’t take it personal; focus on your own plans!

Aries In Transit
originally published on @siderealmaven's Patreon here.
Planets transiting Sidereal Aries teach us about independence, experimentation and power dynamics. Under Aries transits we are encouraged to test our capabilities and push the boundaries of what we think is possible. This is a time when you may be called upon to prove your strength and defend your territory if necessary. Aries transits are often marked by conflict, however this doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Conflict pushes us to grow in the same way that competition can; pushing us to be better, faster, stronger, smarter. This is a time to try new things, experiment in your work, and take risks in order to achieve your goals. Take leadership in your own life and take responsibility for yourself and the outcomes of your actions. The biggest thing getting in your way during Aries season is trying to use too much force to get your way, when only a little will do. Keep your calm and your head on straight, and Aries season can have you racing to the finish line.
💛 Sun in Aries = Having your strengths and abilities seen, validated, or recognized by others (especially authority figures.) A time when people are focused on physical strength, leveraging power dynamics, and using force to achieve their goals. Conflict is dealt with out in the open instead of behind closed doors.
🤍 Moon in Aries = Emotions and body functions can be intense and demand an immediate response or release. Feelings that are ignored could simmer and explode in unexpected ways. Decisions can be made on an impulse. A good time to start a new project, sport, or exercise routine.
💙 Mercury in Aries = Talking and writing about physical labor, independence, individuality, strength, autonomy, and power dynamics. A time when people are more blunt, honest, and direct than usual. Verbal arguments and disagreements are possible. People discuss those in power and what they choose to do with it.
💚 Venus in Aries = Relationships become centered around independence, autonomy, and shared strengths. Relationships with people who share our goals, respect our boundaries, and push us to be better are prioritized. Relationships that restrict autonomy and sap our strength can be put to the test and potentially ended. Conflict becomes it’s own love language as each argument resolved makes the relationship stronger.
❤️ Mars in Aries = A time when people stand their ground, enforce boundaries, and take direct action towards their goals. Competition is fierce and conflict can become commonplace or feel inescapable. People are more likely to take bold risks and make major power plays. You may have to engage in physical labor and can make big headway in projects that require it. A time to be held responsible for your actions.
💜 Jupiter in Aries = A time when a society’s beliefs about power, who should have it, and what they should be allowed to do with it are directly challenged. Authority figures are likely to use force to get what they want. Your beliefs about your personal power and what you are capable of and have permission to do, will likely change. A time to train yourself in a new sport or physical activity.
🤎 Saturn in Aries = Encountering the limitations of physical strength, power and independence. A time when using force is not going to get what you want, but likely set you back instead. A time when you will be forced to build up your strength to face challenges and confront conflict head on. Great time to focus on your strategy and leverage your social connections to get ahead. A time when you learn to lead yourself.

Saturn entering Sidereal Pisces + Mars return to sidereal Cancer feels like driving a car that is slowly running out of gas. And instead of pulling over, you just ignore it and tell yourself you have enough to get where you need to go. (Plot twist: you do not.)

Tarot Explored: The Sun
Hi, hello my sparkling supporters! ✨ Welcome to the next installment of the Tarot Explored Series. Today we’re going to be doing a deep dive on The Sun card from the Rider Waite-Smith deck. This is easily the happiest card in all of the Tarot and one people look forward to the most. The Sun represents joy, optimism, fulfillment, success, growth, new beginnings, children, and visibility. This card can also be symbolic of the human mind when it is at it’s best; conscious, present and aware of itself + its environment. It can be our motivation and our willpower too.
The positivity of The Sun card is so powerful that it can turn any difficult reading into a hopeful one, no matter what cards it’s laid beside or the question asked. And to get the Sun card as the outcome, you might as well skip off into the sunset ;) When this card appears on your table, you can be assured that whatever problems you’re facing are temporary and that new beginnings and opportunities are just around the corner. This card encourages you to look on the bright side, search for silver linings and consider the glass half full.

Sun in Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, & Pisces
When the Sun is in an Water sign like Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, we get an individual that is focused on the emotional undercurrents and biological needs of society. They are experts at reading between the lines, picking up on other’s underlying motivations, and understanding intuitively how to solve problems related to people’s inner emotional worlds. This is a type of person who is deeply attuned to their own body, it’s needs, it’s wants, and knows how to express it to others. They’re not afraid to prioritize how they feel or what they need, even when it could create conflict, instead pushing against a status quo of denial and restriction.
This makes them excellent artists, actors, musicians, singers, comedians, and other types of entertainers who rely upon articulate emotional expression in order to reach their audience. They can also do well in jobs like childcare, eldercare, social services, medicine, and sciences that focus on the body or the environment.
The downside to having the Sun in a water sign is they can be so attuned to the emotional aspects of a situation that they may ignore logic, reason, and practical solutions to problems. They have a tendency to focus on more immediate gratification over long term goals and can sometime confuse needs and wants. Perhaps the most frustrating for all, is the way water signs are so attuned to their bodies that they naturally assume that everyone else is too, leading to miscommunication and misunderstandings. Speak up, water signs! Not everyone has a special talent for reading people like you. <3

Venus Rx in Pisces is like pulling your old favorite childhood book off the shelf and discovering it all over again. Only this time, you realize that you previously misunderstood the ending because you didn’t have the right context to understand it yet. With your adult eyes, the story takes on new meaning and provides new lessons.

Sidereal Pisces in Transit
originally published on @siderealmaven's patreon blog.
Planets transiting Sidereal Pisces are all about getting in touch with your intuition, embracing your feelings, and learning how to read between the lines. This is time when people feel more sensitive than usual and emotional narratives take precedence over cold hard facts. People are more likely to invest in their dreams and creative ventures because they’re less concerned with being reasonable or following other’s expectations. If there is anything that Pisces does best, it’s allow themselves to believe in something larger than themselves and their ability to have a key role within it, just by being themselves. During Pisces season, the biggest thing standing in your way is your skepticism that things won’t work out and a sense of paranoia that you’re missing key information that could trip you up later. Pisces reminds us that some decisions must be made with the heart, no matter the consequences.
💛 Sun in Pisces = A time when people are focused on their emotional narratives and a sensitivity to the world around them is heightened. The way people feel becomes more important than the facts. Authority figures rely on their emotional intelligence, empathy and compassion in order to influence others.
🤍 Moon in Pisces = A time when the impact of emotional narratives on the physical body becomes prominent and possibly even consuming. This is a time for emotional intimacy, being vulnerable, and getting in touch with your body. Your intuitive feelings can be used as evidence to prove what goes unsaid, but be careful not to ignore reality all together.
💙 Mercury in Pisces = A time when you’re more likely to pick up on what others are feeling, what’s not being said and the unspoken implications of what is. Communication may seem slower, vague, and require additional effort to decode and translate. People are more skeptical of new information in general, but also most likely to entertain fantastical ideas.
💚 Venus in Pisces = A time when communities are centered around shared emotional narratives, experiences, and expression. Emotions are translated into creative mediums of all kinds, free of the restrictions of language. Boundaries that felt impossible to bridge may begin to melt and mutual understanding can be fostered.
❤️ Mars in Pisces = A time when people act in accordance to their feelings rather than the facts, which may be ignored altogether. People’s intentions can seem unclear, information withheld, and intuition becomes necessary to navigate in the absence of certainty. Following your heart becomes necessary to survival.
💜 Jupiter in Pisces = A time when people are actively investing in their spirituality, divination, and the occult. Religious leaders, oracles, and prophets emerge (as well as wolves in sheep's clothing.) New communities are formed around belief systems that prioritize emotional narratives and fantastical thinking.
🤎 Saturn in Pisces = A time in which we encounter the limits of our ability to make decisions based on facts alone due to omitted, altered, or missing information. Nuance becomes necessary to navigate circumstances where black and white thinking fails and only shades of gray remain. A time in which your beliefs (especially about your body and spirituality) can make or break you.

Tarot Explored: The Chariot
Hi, Hello! Welcome to the third installment of the Tarot Explored series. Today we are going to be talking about The Chariot from the Raider Waite-Smith deck. This is one of the more fun cards in the tarot because it’s all about competition, movement, and victory over obstacles. Represented by Mars in Sidereal Cancer, The Chariot is about our survival instinct which drives us to challenge the limitations of our bodies and adapt to changes in our environment. The Chariot demands forward progress no matter the cost and is determined to cross the finish line first.
While most people these days have little experience driving an actual chariot, most us probably have experience riding in or driving car. We know what it is to move with a speed that is beyond the capability of our bodies and to have to adapt quickly to new environments as we move from one place to the next. If you’ve ever had an emergency then maybe you’ve driven at speeds that scared you, took risks you normally wouldn’t, just to get where you needed to go fast enough. This is the sense of urgency that The Chariot card brings to the table. It also brings a sense of competition present in a NASCAR race, the drive to rise to challenges and defeat your opponents. It’s that sweet smell of victory when you’ve come out on top.

Mercury in Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, & Sagittarius
When Mercury is in an Fire sign like Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, we get an individual that excels in speaking their mind, articulating their opinions, and standing firm in their convictions. They use communication as an extension of their will and create the change that they want to see in the world. This means that they’re probably the first to complain, disagree, and point out problems. While this can be frustrating, it’s also necessary for improvement and the earth + air signs are much more likely to conform to what already is, contributing to stagnancy. Thanks to Fire Mercuries, innovation and improvement can be priorities instead of just hopeful wishes. They’re also the first to point of what IS working, offer praise, and hype up their team mates. Their willingness to do the work to motivate others makes them great for leadership positions.
The downside to having a Fire Mercury is they often have more energy than they know what to do with. They can be impulsive, short-tempered, and prone to taking things too far. They’re the type to start working on a project in the morning and then completely forget they’re a human being by dinner, working themselves until they pass out. They tend to take on more projects than they can handle and can struggle to say no to people who ask for their help. And let’s not forget a tendency to play Devil’s Advocate just for fun ;)

Do y’all ever think about how beautiful sidereal Capricorn Venus is because it teaches us that love is an infinite resource that can be tapped when all others have been exhausted? That love is always present no matter how dire the circumstance? That true love always lasts the test of time? I do.
