Yes, sorry, ghost path.
I agree with everything you said, and I'd still like to mention that WWX didn't seem inclined to abandon JC throughout the war. If he could have explained and eased it with his excellent communication skills, he would have. He knew exactly how to subordinate himself to JC and he kept doing it because he always intended to go out that way.
They weren't really close but WWX was aware that JC was being bothered by other ppl due to him. One of the reasons was the sword carrying thing they made a bigger deal of than needed, which WWX would have loved to resolve as JC's subordinate but he couldn't.
In BM, he seemed to hold some hope of receiving help from JC but ofc that didn't happen, even after he tried to give a sort of explanation.
Why does fandom act like wei wuxian kept it a secret that he was thrown into the burial mounds? He’s said it twice so far, and both times it’s been to jiang cheng (and once to lan wangji). Is this another frankencanon thing where people just can’t remember what’s been said in which adaptation vs. the novel?
#I'm not commenting of the lack of jc & wwx interpersonal relationship#it was as shitty as people know it#but I'm just saying that wwx knew and he accepted the fact that he would belong to jc until he died#it was almost lucky that he didn't

Watched My Name, the kdrama, and wow. I was NOT expecting that until it was almost upon me. The ending, the plot twist at the end, the...everything about everything. It was so beautiful the way she went through so much. She helped her mentor out and suspected a man who cared so much about her.
There are still suspicious points that could be called plot holes, but I loved the ML. I almost thought the druggie would be the ML but the actual ML was so cool. He was amazing♥️
I guess that's what made everything so much more perfect and bitter too. We fell so much in love with the strength of his character and the emotional link and suspicion he had of her. The way he understood her was so fucking perfect. The way he did everything was so good.
It wasn't overt and yet, just subtle and light enough to show much it meant to her. It conveyed everyone's POV so well without being overly attached to the romance or crime. It showed her story and everything around it.
But the killer was such a dick bag. God.
I wish the ending could have been more idyllic but it was almost that, ig. Honestly, even if we never get to know, I just like to hope that the ML's revenge was fulfilled as well, and in the way he wanted it to.

Why is this so godamn sweet. I want more and I also want to cry though I'm not sure whether from sadness or happiness.
Ok we all talk about the Pevensies’ trauma at returning to Earth at the end of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and their trouble readjusting to life there again but think of all the funny/good parts too
They return from the country, and their mom is surprised when all her children hug her at the station. Even Peter, who thinks he’s all grown up. Even Edmund, who went away surly and withdrawn. She doesn’t know her children haven’t seen her in over a decade.
They miss their dear Cair Paravel, but they absolutely do not miss its chamber pots. Indoor plumbing is amazing.
It takes a while to remember how modern technology works, though. How many heart attacks did the siblings give their parents or the professor because they walked into a dark room only to turn on the light and find the children sitting there in the dark. (They were by the window! There was still plenty of light from the sunset! They would have gotten a candle in a minute!) The kids sheepishly remember oh yeah electricity is a thing.
(Edmund has a new electric torch in Prince Caspian. He was so excited to get that torch. Almost more excited than you’d think a kid his age would be, and his parents expect Peter at least to tease him, but the siblings all agree light in your hand at the touch of a switch is terrific.)
Suddenly getting really high grades in some subjects and terrible in others. Their grammar, reading comprehension, spelling, vocab, even penmanship? Amazing. History and geography? They don’t remember anything. One time in class Susan forgets Earth is round and wants to die.
Also they can never remember what the date is supposed to be because Narnia uses different months and years. They can estimate time really well by looking at the sun though, and Edmund at least can always tell which way is north etc without thinking about it (again, using the sun)
Okay but how many times did they go to pick something up or reach something and realize they are so much shorter and less muscled than they expect? It’s a common sight to see Peter climbing on counters to reach a top cabinet, grumbling about how he’s High King this is demeaning. (No he never takes the extra five seconds to grab a stool. He will climb that shelf.)
Peter and Susan being delighted because they are no longer almost thirty. (In a few years Edmund and Lucy will tease them about being old and their parents will not understand.)
Lucy doesn’t have to deal with periods anymore for a few years yet. Susan might not either. Heck yeah
Lucy loves to climb into her siblings’ laps and be cuddled. In Narnia she eventually she grew too big, but now she is small and snuggleable again. Peter is her favorite, and if she’s upset, he’ll tickle her and tell bad jokes until she’s smiling again, but really she loves cuddling with all her family. She grew up without her parents; how many times did she just want to crawl into her mom’s lap and her mom was a world away? Imagine the first time she realizes she can now. Or, imagine one day, a cold and grey sort of day, when the rain is pattering against the windows, and it sounds like the rain on the windows of the Professor’s house, that first day they went exploring. It sounds like the day they played hide and seek. It sounds so like the rain on the windows of Cair Paravel, that if Lucy closes her eyes she can imagine she’s back there, having tea and chatting with Mr. Tumnus before the fireplace of her room, and soon the rain will stop, and they will go out on the balcony and wave to the naiads and the dryads and the mermaids, who have come out to enjoy the rain and visit one other on the banks of the Great River winding past Cair Paravel down to the sea.
But if Lucy looks out the window, all she’ll see is the rain over London, so it’s not only a cold and grey sort of day, it’s a lonely sort of day too.
Susan and Edmund are playing chess in the living room (and they must have studied with Professor Kirke, thinks their mother, because they certainly weren’t that good when they left). Lucy goes over to Edmund, and oh dear, thinks their mother, now he’s going to call her a baby and be horrible to her, but instead he picks her up and puts her on his lap without even taking his eyes off the chessboard; it’s simply a matter of course.
“Doesn’t the rain sound familiar?” says Lucy in a solemn, wistful way.
Their mother doesn’t know what that means, but her siblings must, because Susan says, “Yes, Lu, it does,” and Edmund gives her a little hug with his free arm as she tucks herself under his chin to watch the chess match.
(Five minutes later there is a crash from the next room as Peter falls off a counter. Their mother does not understand the words he must have picked up from the Professor, but he’s grounded for them anyway. His siblings have no respect for their High King, because they refuse to stop laughing.)

I feel like you have read 'If Wei Wuxian did not exist'.
Yes. I cannot believe it was tragic enough to happen in the one place where Wen Ning and his family died horrifically by the Jins. Plus extra.
The worst part of the Qiongqi Path ambush isn’t even the fact that Jin Zixuan died. It’s the fact that Wei Wuxian and Wen Nong are literally discussing in the middle of Qiongqi Path how they unfairly judged Jin Zixuan’s character, how they thought the invite was a trap but the man was being unexpectedly genuine, and how much he must have grown as a person to invite someone he’s always been in contention with to his firstborn’s one month celebration simply because that person is his wife’s favorite person. Only for fuckass Jin Zixun to show up, say that actually, the invite was a trap, that they would never genuinely invite Wei Wuxian to see his shizhi, and then Jin Zixuan shows up and refuses to verify IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ACTIVE AMBUSH that he is 1) not part of the ambush and 2) did not know about the ambush beforehand. Then he died.

Young Lan Wangji is so fucking funny bruh. Wtf do you mean you’ll get so jealous that you’ll bite a guy and steal his perfume sachet but won’t let the same guy get close to you when he keeps trying over and over to…

When I said ready to talk, I meant that JC and WWX had a lot of issues right? Like, WWX was traumatized and was doing demonic cultivation and wouldn't use his sword and most importantly, wouldn't explain the why to JC.
He only took the first step of telling JC where he was those 3 months when he came to the burial mounds. I don't think WWX was bad in communication, but at the same time, I won't believe his trauma didn't have anything to do with him not trying to explain.
Of course, one question would lead to another, but there were a lot of ways and things he could have clarified, but I don't think with BM and the war, he was in the headspace to do so. He took the first step in explaining some of his issues to JC aka BM. But ofc we know the ending of that conversation.
It is because WWX has such great communication skills that I don't believe it wasn't trauma stopping him.
Why does fandom act like wei wuxian kept it a secret that he was thrown into the burial mounds? He’s said it twice so far, and both times it’s been to jiang cheng (and once to lan wangji). Is this another frankencanon thing where people just can’t remember what’s been said in which adaptation vs. the novel?
#wwx has epic communication skills and i won't believe the only reason he didn't use them to talk everything out during the war#was because he didn't want to talk about the golden core#he didnt talk cause he was traumatized too

Dark humor: WWX is still unable to escape being judged by unknown people even outside of the book he is the protagonist of and died in, due to the same reason.

I don't think he wanted to talk about it either. Like, he wasn't interested in hashing it out with lwj or JC. I mean, it WAS traumatizing. But, at the same time, he started to talk about it after a while. I think, it was his attempt of communication which kinda failed.
Where he was ready to talk to JC about the shit that happened to him but JC...yeah.
Why does fandom act like wei wuxian kept it a secret that he was thrown into the burial mounds? He’s said it twice so far, and both times it’s been to jiang cheng (and once to lan wangji). I can't believe how silly W, the kdrama, ended up being. I got so excited cause I read the summary, but it was only interesting for like, the first 6 episodes. After that, it was just the same old, same old.
I thought there was going to be a clever trick with the face thing, but what the hell. Why was the ending so...ugh. I had too high expectations cause of things like the Nine Tailed or Lovely Runner. I mean, if they were going to use the "it's all a dream" thing... Why the heck didn't they just do it again.
I literally thought that was going to happen. That the artist would draw the entire thing as the MC's dream and make him wake up to his family to give him a happy ending. Cause that's what the MC wanted most of all, didn't he?
But what the hell. He... what?? He forgot the killer had a body? That he was self aware?? That he was a risk??!! Ugh. The whole thing since the killer came to irl was so freaking stupid. Totally killed my hopes for a decent story. And they just kept going back and forth near the end there. They have an OP item but they can't do anything???!?!!
They had both time and the ability and then they went and wasted both. Ugh. At least the last kill was actually pretty cool. But aside from that... Everything near the end was silly af.
Disappointed.

Binged "Love Game in Eastern Fantasy" in 2 days and wow, it's so beautiful and cute. I loved everything about it...except the ending was a bit cringe. But the relationship was just so freaking cute. And I think I specially loved the fact that Miaomiao never actually confessed or said the words to him, but he said it to her because that's what it was all about.
I'm a little conflicted about the roles of the original characters...like Lin Yu and Ziqi, the characters. But at the same time, it's so freaking cute. Just. I loved the polarity of the original to what ended up happening.
Aside from the slightly, teenie tiny cringe part at the end there, honestly, everything about it was so good. And it was a cool idea to write a rewrite too. Heh.
Also, the music and special effects!! ♥️♥️
Like, I loved the different bgm everywhere. It was so perfect. Every character basically having their own issues and resolving them all, and their own bgm, ofc. The acting was so freaking top tier. Everyone was so beautifully unique and it showed.
This is why I love romance fantasy. It's the best. ♥️

Ridiculous idea. LWJ being ok with his emotions and willing to talk about them
Wei Wuxian: I'll give you one of these jars if you forget you saw me
Lan Zhan: How could I forget such a beautiful person?
Wei Wuxian: Oh. Well... um... that is to say....
Lan Zhan: You're still coming with me for punishment
Wei Wuxian: The sexy kind?
Lan Zhan: Not this time

It's a funny contrast that for post canon good Lan Qiren fics start with an apology from him. But for post canon good JC fics...apparantly, he doesn't even need to apologize.

I feel like my brain in breaking sometimes, when I read a Top WWX/Bottom LWJ pairing tag with a sweet summary that honestly wouldn't work otherwise. But my brain screeching "how???" cause I'm too attached to the canon dynamics.

I can't imagine how bitter of a feeling it must have been to have the love of your life in your arms and still not know where to take him to make sure he is protected.
The fact that Lan Wangji himself took Wei Wuxian to the Burial Mounds, the place commonly known as a land of corpses, no matter how much WWX had improved it, and then left him there knowing that it was the only place that would protect Wei Wuxian is so incredibly heartbreaking.
