Stepping Back

In Koko land (actually called dreamland!) there is in fact a napping area, clouds for beds, a little cold but only so the blankets warm u up and ur so comfy and you can see the stars above you twinkling. Probably has Strobe by Deadmau5 playing in the background.

In which in life you lived without technology, and you are still quite the technophobe in your afterlife. Reader is genderneutral.

Everyone in hell, whether from his time or from a time far in the future, had become addicted to those devices

It'd be a lie to say he didn't understand why, but he refused to let go of his way of life

VoxTek would simply remain a thorn in his side

Some people were certainly less involved with the devices than others, but at the end of the day, everyone 'had' to own one

Or so he thought, until he overheard a conversation between two folk behind him at a cafe

" C'mon babe, just gimmie your number. "

" I don't know what you're talking about, can you just leave me alone? "

" You think I'm that fuckin' stupid to believe a dirty bitch like you doesn' have a phone? "

Well, not that Alastor liked meddling with others business, but the loud voice was ticking him off, and—oh yeah, he did like doing that

" Why excuse me, sir! Might I recommend the bar across the street? You seem lost. "

While it only came off as a friendly, albeit strange, recommendation from the red-haired demon, the moment the man harassing you saw his face, he was screaming out the door

You ended up paying for Alastor's drink and your own as a thank you

That was when Alastor realized you were new to hell—not only that, but you really had no idea what a 'number' was

Well, you had an idea, you dialled one once on a pay phone, but you weren't a company, why would you have a number?

He is very intrigued by you, knowing you wouldn't know about his past and that you may actually have detached yourself from his nemesis

Alastor insists on meeting you again, and surely enough, he comes to find you make a routine of going to the cafe twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays

Your tea breaks usually involve discussing hell, your work life, how you adjusted to being here, and very little regarding Alastor

The most he would share was about this hotel he worked for

To Alsastor, you are his safe secret

No one knows you, and no one can contact you unless they see you in person

In a way, he feels he can trust talking to you

Perhaps not about his darkest rumours, but things he would have to worry about others saying too close to a device

Not only that, but you don't seem worried about things that those with devices usually are

Positive in a way that is not overbearing and free in a way that is tied to reality, you were just right

Lucifer could sense your presence quite fast

But only because you weren't an exterminator—no, you were something far stronger

It pained him to see a new angel cast down, the first since he was, bloodied and caught in the fiery pit you'd have to call home

He understood you must have been an angel that came along after him, though, because he didn't recognize you

Either way, Lucifer offered you a place to stay and let you adjust to life in hell through his lens—a safe house where demons couldn't bother you as much

Of course, he also wanted to make sure the news of your existence didn't get out

He could only imagine the kinds of people who might want to get their hands on a fresh angel

Even though he was cast down himself, Lucifer is very flattered that you know him and that you speak so highly of him

You quickly worm your way into his heart, and he loves talking to you a lot about his past and all the things he kept buried within him

Even down here, you still seemed happy, although a tad uneasy

He won't pressure you for your backstory too much, but with his knowledge of heaven he is able to gather that you were at least a mid-ranking angel on the council

He only found out after he spoke about his daughter's plan with the hotel

" Thats a wonderful idea! They may cast me down for demanding an end to extermination, but I won't let them ruin your daughters redemption plans. "

You dropped it so casually that he almost missed it, swooning at how supportive of Charlie you were

Of course, heaven would cast down the most beautiful of angels just for being kind to even the most damned beings

That same anger within him roars back to life, both for you being shut down and for how he, too, was treated in heaven

He'd make sure your life was far better here, no matter what it took

Being a fallen angel is already an extremely worrisome background for Striker, especially following his hate for royalty

Not that a fallen angel is royalty, but the power dynamic is hard for him to get over, as guilty as he feels now for holding it against you

When you first met, he saved you from another bounty hunter

Saved is the wrong word

He stole you so he could get a prize himself

But it all backfired when you were just so kind and curious, and offering you up to some terrible people didn't feel like the right move

Striker told himself he'd hold onto you until he knew the true value of an angel, but that may have just been him stalling for time

Either way, your charm worked wonders, and now he was stuck with the most attention-grabbing partner in all of hell

Oh well, he knew he could protect you

While he was curious about your life in heaven, Striker was extremely used to not asking questions about others past

But the more he knew, the more he wanted to know

Every few months, you'd tell a story that revealed a new interesting piece of information, things that made him wonder what you had to have done to be so harshly cast down

It all made sense when he puzzled it together one afternoon, when you were particularly fond of your past memories

" I hope Em isn't in trouble too. "

" Why so? "

" Well, she also thought killing demons was pretty bad... "

" Of course, hun. "

As usual he nods along with you before he freezes and jumps out of his chair

" Hol on now, what? "

Striker is able to puzzle things together fast, and he's not sure if he's more pissed at the angels above you or if he's surprised you felt that way

He'd always assumed no angels thought good of demons, but this changed things

Next extermination, he wants to have a hand at capturing one of those winged fuckers and seeing if he can force some more out of them

It was the big day—the very same big day that occurred once a year throughout your relationship with the imp

But no matter how many times, it never got any less important to Fizz, so you always pushed to make it as smooth as possible for him

You'd made sure to prepare meals the day before and ensure everything he needed had a backup and was on a checklist, ready to be packed and brought to the studio

Fizz told you there could be no mistakes, and you'd never let him down

Honestly, you took such a weight off of him; he wondered how he did it in his first few years without you

Whenever Fizz found himself panicking, you always managed to conjure some miracle solution to everything

All he had to do was the performing, and you handled everything else

All the props, settings, and lighting were checked by you during the rehearsal after you'd spent nights watching him perform his choreography

Usually it changed a bit before each show, but Fizz made sure to never change too much so you wouldn't be overworked

Even minutes before the show, you were in the changing room

Stradling his hips, holding his foundation and concealer while fixing up every last touch

You'd kiss his cheek only to cover it up, and he'd laugh at the white makeup staining your lips

His favourite moment in the whole show wasn't talking to fans, performing, or the cheering afterwards

It was right before the show, when you'd sit with him and pay every drop of attention just to him and how you wanted the makeup to look

Fizz didn't mention the change of plans, his desire to quit on stage, or the change of song

He didn't want to think that this would be his last time sitting in the changing room with you

He just wanted to savour it, and he could ponder tomorrow what the future holds for the two of you

After the show, Fizz makes sure to pick up some extra flowers on stage to give to you

The two of you make a run for it considering how pissy Mammon is, but it ends with the two of you panting, laughing, holding onto eachother

OVERALL PERSONALITY: i have a resting bitch face so it's easy for a lot of people to assume i'm silently judging everyone around me like an edgelord, when in reality i'm probably thinking about something really fucking dumb like "what if the universe is donut shaped?" i'm the type of person to blurt out something really dumb in the middle of a conversation. i'm an impulsive and spontaneous person, but only once you get to know me. otherwise i'm really introverted and will unintentionally glare at people if i find them interesting. i can tolerate most people, until they just start becoming straight up offensive jerks.

It's good that you like pink and maroon because this spider is covered in it! Angel loves all things soft and pink, which also describes you! He's extremely fashionable and adores yours, even if it leans towards a more 'darl' aesthetic than his. 

If anyone can handle a resting bitch face, it's this guy. Both of you can seem really intimidating to others, which melts away the moment the two of you laugh or talk about anything. It's visible how much you melt around each other, especially Angel. Once he's in your company, he just wants to chill and hear you talk. 

One thing Angel does make fun of you for is your spectrum of music. He is super into edm and excitable music, and knowing you are too only makes it funny when your playlist switches from bossa nova to heavy metal. Overall, Angel isn't very picky about music, and hearing you play instruments starts to loosen him up to softer, gentler varieties. 

The demon has an insatiable sweet tooth; he loves all things candy and all things sweet. Often, when you two go out, you'll switch things on your plates for the other's preference. Angel gets a lot of candy as 'gifts' and will give you anything sour or spicy out of the mix. Of course, if anything is too sweet for you, Angel is more than happy to snatch it for himself! 

If you ever take Angel out for hotpot, it'd need to have a mild section of broth at least! He would die using the spicy broth, but at least this way you can both enjoy it together!

Expect matching outfits or themes, tasting each other's food a lot, and Angel requesting that you play songs for him to sing along with all the time.

Authors Note - I do matchups for male readers!! So its totally cool either way. Also I found this so funny, I am canadian and I also drink double double + I lived in China (Chengdu + Beijing) for a handful of months as a teen.
