It’s getting hot here in Florida, so while I have been knitting, it’s just slowed down a bit. I have a lot of WIPs on the needles, but these socks are the ones I’m most excited for!

These are socks I’m fading from scraps from a shawl I’m working on. I think they’re coming out pretty cool! I’m making them for my gf for our one year anniversary, which is coming up in August 🥰

Got the waist band done- all that’s left are the sleeves! I plan on doing them TAAT so I can actually get them done and done symmetrically lol.

Making progress on my Zosia wrap cardigan! Got the body done, now all I need to do is work on the sleeves and the waist tie ☺️ first two pics are true to color- it’s like a wine red.

I felt really frustrated with this project for a while- it is not at all suited for my ADHD brain with its flipping back and forth within the pattern for each step, and I made many, many mistakes- but ultimately, I’m happy with it so far. I’ve been knitting at an intermediate level for about 5 years now, and this is my first expert level piece, so mistakes are inevitable and I’m learning a lot.

I’m washing and blocking it now while I start on the waist tie. I have a few other knits I might work on today, but idk which will be finished first yet!

Another pair of socks off the needles! These were an experiment: I’ve been wanting to try an anatomical toe, and I’ve decided I really like it ☺️

Pattern: freehanded // Needles: chiaogoo sock needles for magic loop, I think 2.25mm? // yarn: perfumed ghost by sycamore fibers

Just split the sleeves on my Lea sweater! It needs blocking bad for the lace yoke to bloom, but I find it sooo satisfying to do the blocking all at once right at the end 😊

Starting the most challenging knit I’ve ever attempted! Yes, there’s techniques that are all new to me in this pattern, but also the designer didn’t do a great job writing the pattern and there are a few sections where I’ll have to look at 3+ charts at once.

Still, I’ve been dying to cast this on, and with my previous cardigan finished and my hat all done, I have space in my WIP pile for it. I’m holding mohair double, so it’s super warm and soft and squishy 💕

Doesn’t look like much yet, but it will 🥰

Finished yet another hat! My last hat is a little on the light side, so I wanted something toasty 🥰 also I lost my previous charcoal hat while visiting the Oregon coast with my gf, so I needed another one.

Yarn is lion brand’s wool ease thick and quick in the color way obsidian. Pattern was freehanded.

Not gonna lie I'd 100% buy that sweater if you had a shop or something, it looks amazing! It reminds me of the purple-green shine of an oil slick. It's just beautiful!

Aww thank you! I only crochet/knit for me and my gf, but if you ever wanted to get into it, I’d definitely recommend!

Yesss that purple and green combo is my absolute faaaave 💕 you’ll see more of it throughout the year if you keep following this blog hahaha

Hexagon cardigan is all finished!

Came out pretty cute ☺️ a little more green dominant than I had envisioned, but that’s fine.

Pattern is free handed // Yarn is hobbit Halloween cakes in the color mad scientist; the black is hobbit cotton kings. Not the most special yarn outside of the color, just feels like cotton. // Used a 4.5 mm hook- my prym set! I love those hooks ☺️

I took a little break from this, but now the body is done!! All I have to do now is add a few finishing touches, then wash it and it’s done ☺️

You can kinda see the cuff I tried on the left side of the cardigan…. What do you all think of it? Should I keep it or not? I’m feeling conflicted about it.

Second knit of the year! A simple little hat I made. Super easy; didn’t even do crown decreases.

First knit of 2024! A pair of socks for my gf 🥰 I always make my hand knits for other people a little bit big so they can throw them in the washer and dryer instead of needing to be precious about them. These are free handed, toe up socks using the shadow wrap heel method. Yarn is by ritual dyes; it’s very soft and the dye held up well n

Getting there with this cardigan! I hope it turns out as cute as I envisioned it; generally speaking, I hate blues, so Im kind of not digging it right now. But as we get more into the purple, I think I’ll love it again.

Next color transition just added! Just gotta go from blue to ourple and the purple to violet ❤️ I’m loving working on this!

Got to the first color transition! It’s hard to tell, but im shifting into a darker and bluer shade of lime here.

Oof, it’s working up so quickly. I hope I can get some of that violet in there 🤔
