This morning we went on an adventure to visit Santa at his workshop. Audrey was very excited the whole way there but upon seeing Santa in the flesh the excitement slowly turned into fear. There was a lot of tears when her turn came around which meant BJ and I had to jump in to be able to get a photo this year. In the end we got a little smile from her before she said thank you and high fived Santa. This week I did a cookie decorating class at @choice_cakes. I got to try some new techniques and use some products that I’ve never used before. I came home with 10 beautiful cookies... one of which BJ ate before I got a chance to take some very poor photos of the rest. We haven’t really had any family time since we got back from our holiday so this afternoon we went on an adventure to Warrandyte for some strawberries and icecream. Made these cute number two cookies for a friends daughters 2nd birthday this week. If it isn’t obvious they are inspired by their obsession with Emma Wiggle. The bows were handmade using fondant last minute after my mould was late to arrive. Goodbye Loch Sport!! Our first family holiday was a great success. So many new experiences and wonderful memories. Today called for a trip to Golden Beach for some fish n chips on the sand. The beach was so quiet and beautiful. With no one else around we enjoyed our lunch while we watched the waves crashing. We made friends with a seagull who gave us his gimpy leg routine for some chips. After lunch BJ and I dipped our toes in the water while Audrey supervised from a safe distance, making sand castles and the smooshing them with her hands. The best part about the day was that I didn’t burn AND I had the most amazing pineapple fritter EVER!!! (at Golden Beach, Victoria)

Today we took a walk down to the shore to play in the sand then later when we were driving around looking for a playground and a kangaroo stood right next to the car and stared at Audrey for ages.
