But cool news.........I think....I might be having a break through on ways I wanna try coloring some of the Persona manga. So I might take another stab at this piece again once I'm done..... Anyway!

what are your thoughts on metaphor's UI btw? like, compared to P5 and P3R since those are the big ones

Mix between "I like it and" *long sigh* eh"

Menu (tbh the one that people will really talk about):

Preference: I like P3R the most

What I think is more objectively better: ReFan

I'm a fan of blues and it being easy on the eyes (I also think it invokes the OG P3 the most), so I like P3R's more........THAT BEING SAID, that's just the menu screens. I don't really care for the rest of the UIs mesh the same as the menu. (and it could just be it has the original style working against it/being compared to it in my mind, and so I have a harder time viewing it as it's own theme....but I really only see a strong cohesion between the menu and battle theme and I think title screen).

Refan (and P5/R) I think do a better job with the cohesion. I think Refan takes it a step further than P5/R. P5/R was very consistent with the comic book style. But Refan I think.....blends the UI well into the actual game world. Which is where I think it gets a slight edge over P3/5.

I might end up liking ReFan the most in the long run.....because judging by the trailers, it feels a bit...."less in your face" than P3R P5/R/S. Where P3R is like "look how pretty I am!" and P5/R/S is "look how cool we are! So stylish!" ReFan.....I dunno it blends so much with the rest of the world that it doesn't stand out? It's not really in my face about it. And I like that.

*everyone waiting for this suspended shoe to drop* Ok, fine. I kinda don't care about the UIs that much (I'll happily play the bloated UI Ubisoft games I have really low standards). I just want to be able to navigate fast and get through that stuff. As long as I can do that, I'm happy. If I feel like the over stylishness is slowing me down, then I'm pissed. (which is what P5/R felt like for me, but tbh maybe that's more of a perception thing than an actual timing thing....I'd have to check. Maybe I'm more used to it since P5.....cause I don't think I've had the same issue with P3R.......again I guess I'll have to check XU)

And I dunno, something irks me with how Atlus is just peacocking about "look how great our menus are!" and I'm just like "yeah yeah yeah yeah whatever you're a special boy, how about you tell me about the meat of the game instead >_>"

I dunno, fancy UIs are nice to have, but the game ISN'T ONLY about UIs. And I feel like the fandom (and Atlus) have been pushing the damn thing too much lately.
