i think i finally figured out why the Evil Mastermind Yui Ikari interpretations in Evangelion fandom annoy me so much

it's because they bore me

if you ask me, it's so much more interesting if she was able to craft all these plans within plans. but. never accounted for how her "death" would affect gendo, fuyutsuki, mari, shinji. so wrapped up in her desire to save "the future" that she couldn't see how it would hurt her friends and family in the present.

Silly comic I decided to write real fast after having a conversation with a friend about what Shinji finds after 3.0 (plus i really want to get into comics since storyboarding is such an awesome class this semester!)

[Misato and Asuka are having a fight]

Misato: Don't you walk away from me while I'm talking to you.

Asuka: Oh, really, "Mom"? Or what are you going to do? Send me to my room?

Misaro: I wish I could!

Asuka: Well you can't! Because you're not my mom and you're not their mom. [Points to Shinji and Rei]

Misato: I never said I was!

Asuka: No, but you certainly act like it. You think it's your job to boss everyone around, but it's not. You're just a kid like the rest of us. So stop acting like you can tell me what to do. I can do whatever I want!

Misato: [baffled] I don't act that way! Kaji, do I act motherly?

Kaji: [nervously] Hey, I'm staying out of this one.

Misaro: What do you think, Shinji? Do I act like a mom?

Shinji: [fidgeting] Well, I...

Misato: Stop rubbing your eye and speak clearly, when you talk.

Shinji: [Straightening up] Yes, ma'am.

Misato: Pilots naturally communicate through dance. Like so.

(Music starts playing. Shinji and Rei start dancing in sync, showing impressive moves and finish with a bit of flair)

Misato: (tears in her eyes) *Sniff, sniff* Poetic!

Asuka: (starts dancing awkwardly, doing random moves with no pattern and finishes with a pose)

(Misato, Shinji and Rei all look at her in shock)

*Beat*

Misato: (furious) DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER!

(Misato starts chasing Asuka)

She chooses not to get a drink, for now. Maybe she’s getting better, or she’s just taking extra caution when it comes to Rei

That meant it was only a little messy.  “You might have to sleep on a futon like me, Asuka and Shinji already have their own bedrooms.” She continues with a mutter, “Despite everything they still won’t share a room...”
