so this is the first proper time the twins meet meta knight, they’ve met him already before, however that… did not turn out very well.

kirby may or may not have also tried to introduce the twins to meta knight shortly after that first encounter, unaware of what meta knight did. this second meeting was extremely short, due to lula grabbing luca and running away out of fear when she saw him.

a while after this happens, the twins lula gets a letter from meta knight, offering her and luca to be trained by him and his crew. is this his strange way of trying to make amends? does he see potential in the two of them? what are his motives? who knows. either way, lula panics and keeps the letter to herself, hiding it from luca so she can mull over the offer.

this does not last very long. luca notices her change in behavior, and finds the letter a few days later. the twins have a fight over it, as lula wants to take the offer and luca refusing to let her go near meta knight again. lula’s anxious but adamant about training, tired of pretending to be something she’s not. luca acknowledges this, and states that if she does it, then he will too. lula disapproves of the idea, but her brother is stubborn and does not budge from this compromise. either they both do it or neither of them do.

in the end they both agree to the offer, and start training with meta knight. it’s a very rough start, as one twin is scared of him and the other hates his guts… it takes them a very long time to warm up to him.

Aqua Knight and baby Galacta, they only met briefly in the past though might recognise eachother as adults...

Lore dump ahead

Aqua and Inferno Knight aren't actually part of Kirbys species (im calling them void-borns since there is no official name). They are instead from a species called "Guardians" which were artificially made by the ancients with the intent of mimicking the void-born (hence the similarities in appearance). Galacta knight was raised by the ancients, so they were based mostly on him.

Guardians are generally weaker then void-borns and made to specialize in one specific type of magic. In Aquas and Infernos case that being water and fire. While the ancients were still around they were used to guard important places and artifacts related to their element. Nowadays with no command to follow, they go their own ways.

Some non-kirby art if you dont mind. I have been making a few side characters for my "Ninis Adventure" story and heres one of the first i got around to drawing.

Meet Nord! He's from a group of four powerful wizards each controlling a planet. He has the ability to create monsters made of magic and is able to control them to an extent. He ends up accidentally cursing himself to become a magic monster himself hence the visual change on the right design.

A long time ago a mirror reflection suddenly got the feeling that something bad would happen to his original counterpart that would destroy them both for good.

He couldn't beat the intense sense of doom and tried to remove himself from the original as best as he could. Not long after people suddenly couldn't remember that he ever existed. Though maybe he got lucky and escaped with a different name...
