HMS Superb was built in 1798 and was the fastest “Ship of the Line” at the time. After 7 years and overdue for a re-fit she sailed to Portsmouth with HMS Victory and Lord Nelson in August 1805. But because of the refit she missed the Battle of Trafalgar.
