SInce Glados probably saw somewhere (on the internet or smth idk) that covering one's lover in lipstick is seen as affection among humans.

i think i love dissecting helena's past and personality out of helly's actions so much because it reminds me of dissecting caroline's past and personality out of glados' actions. like so far (until we actually see more of her) it seems like the same kind of character presentation to me which i really enjoy. like we still don't know whether helena went with the severance procedure 100% willingly or was coerced into it but "caroline gets a brain procedure done on her against her will in the name of the company and in 'honor' of her being the most revered person there and then forgets her memories but doesn't forget her rage about it and completely lashes out in revenge on everyone there until they subdue her" . sounds familiar? also her being complicit in the horrors before they were actually done to her.
