OBSESSED with these close-ups of stills from partially-controlled-chaos of Halsin visibly upset with himself about losing control of the bear. That little flicker of self-loathing over what happened.

In his original canon backstory that was removed before full release, there is a heartbreaking entry in a very old diary of his referencing another time he lost control of his anger, rather than his wild shape and triggered the event that caused the Shadow Curse. It cost him the lives of most of his peers, his confidantes, his friends… and his mentor, the Arch-Druid of the Grove at that time. Hurting and unprepared for the enemy they were facing, Halsin is left to step into his place, become the Arch-Druid and guide the Grove forward.

And for a hundred years, he’s got that weight and responsibility and guilt on his shoulders. We see a lot of things to indicate he may prefer sleeping as the bear and, personal headcanon, I would think that being in bear-form could be an excellent way to deaden or change some of that pain and those emotions. The bear is a safe place, perhaps, a retreat from the horrors in his own memory. Animals experience things differently than we do and no one knows that better than Halsin.

And then he loses control of the bear. Could have hurt you by doing so. And remembers everything all over again.

So I was looking for these simtric hairs but with the updated EA colors, and found that the more I looked, the more impatient/annoyed I got, so I did it myself. So idk if they've been done, but it's too late, here they are.

In order:

I added the swatches to the root accessory, and then added all the extras from the Witching Hour palette because reasons. All the natural colors are in the EA palette btw

one of my sims gave birth to triplets, and as enraging as this was, i figured id just build a new house because there was no room. took two days to figure out what to even do (eventually spotted one of the shells in the background in san sequoia and used it for inspiration).

then after building this fucking thing decided to save it to my gallery and then reload an old save because honestly, fuck dealing with triplets

I am proud of it though. the dining room and kitchen in particular

not done, something about the interior is not quite clicking yet, but i'll figure it out.
