OFFICIAL RELEASE: Sim Government Appoints New Royal Family.
Newcrest: The Earl of York and his family have been appointed by the newly organized Sim Government to serve as King. Edward York and his family will assume the position as the official Royal Family. The newly crowned King Edward will serve as the constitutional monarch of the county. His roles will be largely ceremonial as is custom of modern monarchies.
King Edward announced today his intention to establish the royal court in Newcrest. The Royal Family has purchased the former Governor’s Mansion in Newcrest using private funds. The home will serve as a temporary official residence. Government officials did not disclose whether an official palace will be built to house the monarchy.
King Edward and his wife Queen Alexandra have three children: Princess Anne, Princess Marina, and Prince James. Princess Anne, the heir apparent and second in line to the throne, is married to David Wessex. They have one son, Alexander York-Wessex.
