There's some wonkiness in spots with the transparency, but overall I am happy with it. Everything has lead up to this moment. Every ride, every jump, every morning waking up at unspeakable hours to train. Every time Maeve fell off and ate dirt. Every time that Proper stopped because she didn't give him enough confidence until they learned to be partners. Every Grand Prix and every hack at home. Proper is Maeve's horse of a lifetime, she knew it even before they qualified to represent their country on the international stage. There would never be another horse that felt like an extension of herself like he did. They felt like they were always on the same page, even with a tricky distance. Together, the pair has had a long and successful show career. Maeve produced Proper up the ranks from a four-year-old, and now at seventeen, she knew this was Proper's last big adventure with her. He had given her everything, including qualifying for the Olympics. Maeve was so glad Proper could end his competition career on such a high note, showing the world how special he is.

The torrential downpour would not get in the way of this final performance. Feu was determined to shine, even if the weather was not in alignment. WEC Calagero, or "Cal", had been with Kismet for many years, and it was decided he would be retiring after the Olympics. The duo was striving for one last great score. After the Olympics, Cal would be standing at stud. The Hanoverian stallion has a pedigree to die for, and a competition career to impress. We can't wait to see what the future brings.
