Sono nato a Lentini, il 26 Maggio del 1984. Qui ho trascorso 9 anni della mia infanzia, 9 anni di ricordi indelebili insieme a tutta la mia famiglia. Ma questa stazione di paese, apparentemente insignificante, per me ha un significato molto particolare... 'Ricordi papà quando portavi me e Claudia qui con il tuo motorino Garelli a 3 marce perché non volevamo assolutamente mangiare?' Mamma ci preparava i panini e tu ci portavi qui a vedere i treni passare sperando di vederci mangiare prima o poi... Già in quegli anni avevi problemi di vista, giravi spesso con quella benda bianca agli occhi e io non capivo ancora il perché... Crescendo ho capito davvero che nei tuoi piccoli ma importanti gesti, hai sofferto tanto e che nonostante la tua sofferenza hai sempre fatto di tutto per renderci felici, nel bene e nel male. Non ti ho mai ringraziato abbastanza, ma tanto tu sai quanto io ti ami e quanto ti stimi, perché nonostante tutte queste sofferenze, hai sempre sorriso e scherzato, senza mai abbatterti...
