SAN MYSHUNO, Windenburg (SNN) - - Who will be the next pope? The College of Cardinals, or more formally the Sacred College of Cardinals, is the body of all cardinals of the Cathlosim Church. As of 29 December 2025, its current membership is 66, of whom 39 are eligible to vote in a conclave to elect a new pope.
Cardinals are appointed for life by the Holy Father to serve as his principal assistants and advisers in the central administration of church affairs.
The conclave, a secretive vote to elect the next pope is held within the Simstine Chapel of St John’s Basilica in San Myshuno, the home of conclave; the Vatisim is the administrative headquarters of the pope. Upon the death or resignation of a pope, cardinals initiate elaborate rituals.
The ballot papers are burned after votes, with crowds waiting outside in St. John’s Square for white smoke to rise from the chapel chimney signaling a new pontiff.
This conclave is going to be crucial for deciding the future direction of the Cathlosim Church, and the field of candidates is wide open thanks to Pope Francis’ reforms.
During his pontificate, Francis overhauled the composition of the body that will elect his successor, making it more representative of the simswide church.
He threw out the old, unwritten rulebook that bishops of certain dioceses (several of them in Windenburg) would automatically be made cardinals and instead gave red hats to bishops in parts of the sims world that had never had them before, such as South Marvania, Mt Komorebi and New Wythonia. Several of them are “outsiders” to the Cathlosim system, so it makes it harder to predict how they will vote.
Nevertheless, only a few cardinals have the requisite skills, experience and personality suitable to taking on the role of leading the Cathlosim Church.
Papal candidates are known as “papabile” or translated from the Brindleton Bay, “pope-able.” The vast majority of the papabile were appointed by Pope Francis, although two were chosen by Leo XVI. Here are some of the top contenders.
Along with the seven frontrunners, other candidates might also emerge.
The voting process is kept secret but will take place with the eyes of the sims world on Vatisim City.

BREAK POINT

BUCKINGSIM PALACE, EASTON • APRIL 2025
Martin [Private Secretary]: Parliament is worried about the negative press the royal family has been receiving lately.
Queen Katherine: Parliament? They've had more negative press than any government I've seen!
Martin [P.S.]: Be it as it may, as new press secretary, parliament has asked Kareeda to advise on some new press matters.
Kareeda [Press Secretary]: (bow) Your Majesty.

Kareeda [P.S.]: We received rave reviews in the press after the outing with Your Majesty, the Prince consort, and the Earl and Countess of Boykins last week. The press have dubbed you the new "Fab Four"! Parliament believes your good ratings will help the sims of Windenburg move past their recent scandals.
Martin [P.S.]: With that being said, they'd like to include the Earl and Countess on additional engagements with you this week.
Queen Katherine: No. Absolutely not. The monarchy is not some spectacle that Parliament gets to use. Their image is not the royal family's to fix. Keller learned that the hard way. The Crown must remain steadfast. If I have legitimate engagements I feel the Earl and Countess should attend I will approve.

Kareeda [P.S.]: (silence)
Queen Katherine: Next?
Martin [P.S.]: The Vatisim has shared the date of the pope's funeral. You will be on spring holiday at Sumpterson. Should we confirm your attendance?
Queen Katherine: Absolutely! (sarcastically) If I missed the popes funeral that would make national news, and only add more scandal and negative press and we don't want that, remember?
Martin [P.S.]: Yes, Your Majesty.

Queen Katherine: Is there anything else?
Martin [P.S.]: Lord Danberry.
Queen Katherine: What's he got to do with anything?

Kareeda [P.S.]: Lord Danberry recently returned to Windenburg and, as the 6th Viscount St Lester, he has a place at court.
Queen Katherine: Yes, Rainier mentioned it. He has been abroad and knows nothing of court life.
Martin [P.S.]: Correct. His late father had a very challenging relationship with His late Majesty in the 90s and stopped participating. His grandmother would surely guide him.

Queen Katherine: Okay, well what's the issue?
Martin [P.S.]: We recommend creating him Earl of St Lester. You have four noble earls on court and they're all over the age of 50!
Queen Katherine: Well, the Earl of Bridgestone is 43.

Queen Katherine: I haven't heard a substantiative reason. I cannot create an earldom "just because." Having an understanding of royal protocol will be important in this role, Kareeda.
Martin [P.S.]: We will find a solution, Your Majesty.
- - - - - LATER - - - - -

Queen Katherine: (writing in journal)
29 April Today was tough. I can't wait to take a break! It's just been so much lately. Was up around 6 for breakfast and meetings, followed by 12 audiences - if it weren't for Ld Delilah being with me! Goodness! I am beyond overwhelmed. Parliament has been quite demanding lately, and the family always has an issue needing my involvement. To top it off, I feel like I've been the worst wife and mother lately. If one more thing happens, I'm going to lose it! You know, I've been reading more of father's journals lately. He always seemed so tense, so stressed. Is that how my reign is going to be? Anyway, thanks for "listening", haha.

SNN STUDIOS, EASTON •
Cameron Dorly [SNN Anchor]: What are you doing here so late, Jake?
Jake [Reporter]: I've got a meeting with the big boss about a major story going to print.
Cameron Dorly [SNN Anchor]: Sounds important!

Jake [Reporter]: I'm sure you and Shon will be breaking it on-air, if Mr. Langford decides to run it.

Jake [Reporter]: I should head up there.
Cameron Dorly [SNN Anchor]: Yeah, he hates when you're late. Good luck!
Jake [Reporter]: Thanks.

Jake [Reporter]: It's just that I'm having second thoughts about running the story tomorrow.
Trudy [Editor-in-Chief]: The story is good. It's great! They can't deny it with multiple photos.
Jake [Reporter]: We will be blacklisted from all things royal, if we do.
Trudy [EIC]: I say run it! Mr. Langford, you're President and CEO. You have the final say.

Victor Langford [SNN President]: Did you give the palace a heads-up?
Trudy [EIC]: Yes. Their new press secretary gave the typical "No response."
Jake [Reporter]: We should wait.
Trudy [EIC]: Jake, this is your first major story! You pushed to have me run it on the front page and now you're scared?

Victor Langford [SNN President]: Run it.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - The new Fab Four! Princess Lara, Anthony, Queen Katherine and Prince Rainier participated in a royal engagement together for the first time on Wednesday, for the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum in Easton.
Launched in 2015, the Royal Foundation was set up by then Princess Katherine and Lara, to help them pursue their charitable and philanthropic endeavors.
At the event — titled “A Difference Made Together”— the foursome appeared on stage to discuss why the charitable Royal Foundation was set up, the projects they are working on and their goals for the years ahead.
The Queen looked regal in a pale blue @rustys-cc Lady of Dress III, while the Countess of Boykins, who gave birth in April, glowed in a navy blue Lady D dress by the same designer.
When asked about working with her family, the Queen said “You know, we’ve all got that same passion to want to make a difference. Working as a family does have its challenges. Of course it does… But we’re stuck together for the rest of our lives.”
During the appearance, the couples opened up about their close relationship, both personal and professional. “I think it’s really good that we’ve got four different personalities,” Princess Lara, 28, said.
Anthony then chimed in: “Togetherness at its finest.” Anthony gushed that he was “particularly happy” to be at his “First Royal Foundation event with Princess Lara.”
Anthony became the fourth patron of the Royal Foundation following his wedding to Lara on 19 Nov 2022. Since then, the royal couple have amassed over 8M simstagram followers - second to the Queen.
Though the new Fab Four were photographed together walking to church on Christmas Day, the April 23 event marked the first time the four appeared together at a royal event outside the palace.
(then) Prince And Princess Of Brindleton Bay With The Duke And Duchess Of Kent during a skiing holiday in Klosims, Mt Komorebi, Feb 1991
Their camaraderie stirred up images of the two royal couples who grabbed headlines in the 1990s – then Prince George and Princess Rowena, and Prince Louis and Margot, the Duchess of Kent. The original Fab Four.
“Rowena was a very good friend of Margot's. The Lady's married into the royal family within a year of each other, and became partners in crime… Prince George, heir to the throne, and his younger brother, had to behave,” Veronica Pierce, Easton Time's royal correspondent and SNN News contributor said.
(then) Rowena, Princess Of Brindleton Bay With Margot Warren At The Guard's Polo Club, Windsor, June 1991
Rowena and Margot, who got along famously, stole the spotlight, often breaking royal protocols. The royal foursome only shared two years of mischief before George and Rowena ascended the throne as King and Queen.
"The most difficult thing for Princess Rowena and Margot to deal with was just the fact that this was a sims family not like any other sims family. They have all these walls, all these protocols,” Pierce said. “They were sort of thrown into the deep end and they very much supported each other in that.”
The new royal foursome also get along quite well. Their joint appearance reminded Windenburg that, even through bad press, they remain united. The late King George left the monarchy in great hands!
We hope to see the new Fab Four working happily together for years to come!

The Royal House of Windsor: “The Big Three”
Prince George, Duke of Newsoms
Prince George Martin, third child and second son of King Albert I and Queen Isabella, was born on 14 Sep 1816 at Windsor Castle.
Albert I decided that his second son would pursue an army career and had him gazetted colonel in 1823. From 1824 to 1831, Prince George lived in Brindleton Bay, where he studied (along with his younger brother, Prince Edward) at the University of Hössimgen.
He was appointed colonel of the 2nd Horse Grenada Guards in 1835, promoted to major-general four months later, lieutenant general in 1837, and appointed colonel of the Coldsim Guards in 1837.

Upon his marriage to Lady Marianna "Nina" of Kently on 23 November 1840, he was created Duke of Newsoms and Earl of Burchette and became a member of the Privy Council. Nina was the third child and only daughter of the 2nd Viscount Kently.
Kently Palace, a set of 5 residences united into one as apartments, was purchased by the Duke of Newsoms in 1839 and named after Lady Nina. Since 1840, it has been home to many senior and junior members of the Windenburg Royal Family.
George and Nina resided in Apartment 1 at Kently Palace until their deaths. They had one child in 1848, a daughter, Princess Grace Marianna of Newsoms. Princess Grace would go on to marry Burchette Gates Sr, inventor of the airplane, and the sim who would later help Edward I usher in air imports and exports to Windenburg.

In 1841, George was promoted to full general by his brother, Albert II. That year, he was sent to the Isle of Sims in command of the Windenburg contingent of his brother's army destined for the invasion of Sulani. George and his command fought in the Isle of Sims campaign under extremely trying conditions. He won several notable engagements, such as the Siege of Mua Pel'am in July 1842, but was defeated at the Battle of Kaanapasim in September 1842.
After his return to Windenburg, his brother promoted him to the rank of field marshal and then in 1844, appointed him Commander-in-Chief (the professional head of the Windenburg Army). George's military setbacks became noticeable given his lack of experience as a field commander, the poor state of the Windenburg army at the time, and the conflicting military objectives of the protagonists. George resigned as Commander-in-Chief in 1850.

Having just turned 34, the prince turned his attention to horses.
As Duke of Newsoms, George was a passionate supporter of equestrian sports and created the FEI (International Equestrian Federation) in 1856.
George was known for his love of polo. He played the sport as a teen, and continued to enjoy it as an adult. His polo playing was a documented part of his life, both as a royal and as a public figure.
George famously played polo for the 1851 Lords vs. Commons. He also became a world-class Driving athlete who won World Championship gold in 1857 for Windenburg.

In 1858 George established the Easton Racecourse, in Balsimore for thoroughbred horse racing - with Royal Ascot becoming the centerpiece of the Windenburg summer social calendar.
His royal title, popularity and celebrity brought a massive spotlight to equestrian sports in the UK, then in all the other countries of the Commonwealth and the rest of the sims world.
Today, the administration of the Racecourse is handled on behalf of the Crown by a representative appointed by the Monarch. Easton Racecourse is visited by approximately 400,000 sims a year, accounting for 9% of all UK racegoers. The racecourse covers 152 acres leased from the Crown Estate, and enjoys close association with the Windenburg Royal Family. It is about 6 miles from Buckingsim Palace, and 12 miles from Windsor Castle.

George became perpetually in debt because of his excessive gambling on cards and racehorses. In 1864, his sister Catherine, Princess Royal paid his §12,000 gambling debt (equivalent of §186,000 today) after the duke's life was threatened.
His Royal Highness died of apparent cardiovascular disease on 3 Mar 1870. After lying in state at Westsimster Abbey, George's remains were interred in the abbey, following his funeral there.
The Duke of Newsoms' descendants went on to become inventors, archeologists, and software developers. His great-great-grandson is Will Gates, a Windenburg business magnate, software developer, investor, and philanthropist. Gates is the founder of Microsims Corporation, the largest tech company in the sims world with an estimated net worth of §531 million.

My husband and I were most deeply saddened to learn of the death of Pope Francis. His Holiness will be remembered for his compassion, his concern for the unity of the sims Church and for his tireless commitment to the common causes of all sims of faith, and to those of goodwill who work for the benefit of others. The Prince consort and I remember with great affection our meeting with His Holiness last year. We send our most heartfelt condolences and profound sympathy to the Sims Church he served with such resolve and to the countless sims around the world who, inspired by his life, will be mourning the devastating loss of this faithful follower of Jesus Christ. SAN MYSHUNO, Windenburg (SNN) - - Pope Francis, a voice for the poor who overcame fierce resistance to reshape the Cathlosim Church, has died at the age of 83, the Vatisim announced.
The pope passed away in the morning. Despite his poor health, Francis was expected to recover. Francis suffered a severe health crisis in February and was hospitalized for five weeks with double pneumonia. The pope recovered from the worst bout of illness and was discharged last week, before convalescing at the Vatisim. As recently as Monday, his health had been improving, according to the Vatisim.
The pope’s death was announced “with deep sorrow” by Cardinal Abraham Cristé, the Vatisim camerlengo, who said Francis died at 6:18 a.m local time. Until a new pope is chosen, Cristé acts as the head of the Vatisim.
“With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of God,” the statement said.
Windenburg’s Queen Katherine said the pope will be “remembered for his compassion, his concern for the unity of the sims Church and for his tireless commitment to the common causes of all sims of faith, and those of goodwill who work for the benefit of others.”
The pope’s death triggered the start of nine days of mourning. Francis’s body will be placed into a coffin on Friday evening, with a burial traditionally taking place between the fourth and sixth day after death.
His body could lie in state in St John’s Basilica for sims to come and pay their respects as soon as Saturday, a Vatisim spokesperson said.
The death of Pope Francis also signals the start of a millennia-old process of picking a new pontiff. It is a procedure steeped in tradition, but one which has been subtly updated for the modern world.
Cardinals – senior church officials appointed by the pope – from around the sims world will gather for the conclave in which Francis’ successor is selected. His death will now open a debate about the future direction of the Cathlosim Church.
It typically takes between two and three weeks for a pope to be chosen, though it can stretch slightly beyond that if cardinals struggle to agree on a candidate.

PRESENT, PAST, FUTURE

BUCKINGSIM PALACE • APRIL 2025
[SNN Anchor 1]: "With the first State Visit of the year officially deemed successful, the queen is on a media high! After months of scandal within the palace and royal family, good press is surely a welcomed sight." [SNN Anchor 2]: "The queen's first engagement after the state visit is scheduled for tomorrow, along with the Prince consort an Earl and Countess of Boykins."

Martin [P.S.]: Your Majesty, your next audience is arriving.
Queen Katherine: Thank you, Martin.
Martin [P.S.]: He's all anyone's talking about! Prince Sobwati. His speeches while here have all gone viral!
Queen Katherine: Very good.

WHITE DRAWING ROOM •
Lady Harper: So it appears we're in a predicament.
Queen Katherine: I disagree. As I told your brother, my agreement is with the house of Jabari not Hammond. His approval was not needed.
Lady Harper: No, I mean the kids. This latest incident only shows that Phillip does not like Hali. I can't afford for my daughter to end up hurt.

Queen Katherine: How would she end up hurt?
Lady Harper: With all due respect, Your Majesty, your son is heir to the throne, he will have girls throwing themselves at him his entire adult life.
Queen Katherine: Which is why we're ensuring that doesn't happen!

Lady Harper: We can't force them to be together!
Queen Katherine: Ah! You want her to marry for love.
Lady Harper: I want her to be happy. I assume you'd want the same for Phillip.

Queen Katherine: (clears throat) I don't see a reason to terminate our agreement. Let's just wait and see. This is about the long game. Things will change. Wait until they start senior school.
Lady Harper: In five years?
Queen Katherine: Five years is nothing! I am planning for the next fifty years. Yes?

Lady Harper: I'll let you know.
Queen Katherine: (sips tea)

WHITE DRAWING ROOM •
Queen Katherine: Are you ready for tomorrow?
Princess Lara: (on the phone) Of course! We're just talking. That's one thing I can definitely do! I've only been on maternity leave a few months.
Queen Katherine: Is Anthony ready? His first major royal engagement, and it's with us!

Princess Lara: (on the phone) He'll be fine. Oh, before I forget. Anthony and I are a "yes" for Sumpterson next month. I was surprised how much he enjoys it!
Queen Katherine: Great! He can finally see the grave of "Molly."
Princess Lara: (on the phone) (laughs) You wouldn't!
Queen Katherine: I should go. My next audience is here. Love you, sissy!

Queen Katherine: (rings bell)

[Equerry]: The Grand Duchess of Glimmerbrook.
Grand Duchess Kamill: (bowing) Your Majesty.

Queen Katherine: It's such a nice day, I thought we could enjoy the gardens. Thank you, again, for meeting me on such short notice.
Grand Duchess Kamill: There didn't seem to be much choice. Thankfully, I had availability today.

PALACE GARDENS •
Queen Katherine: I hear congratulations are in order. Dacana!
Grand Duchess Kamill: I see news travels fast. We have not made a decision yet. The vote was just the other day.
Queen Katherine: That's part of the reason I asked you here. I have information that may aid in your decision.
Grand Duchess Kamill: Oh?

Grand Duchess Kamill: So Felipe was behind all of this?
Queen Katherine: It appears we're all being played. He wants revenge on my father, and Windenburg, for deceiving him into ceding Glimmerbrook. He's also angry at you and your husband for going to my father for help.

Queen Katherine: I think he also knows about the amethyst. He doesn't know of it's spell caster powers but he knows the massive financial gain we both made from the stones discovery.
Grand Duchess Kamill: (sighs)
Queen Katherine: Your husband should accept Dacana's offer. He was voted to be their next ruler for a reason; and being Queen is much better than being Grand Duchess!
Grand Duchess Kamill: It's not that easy. His heart is in Glimmerbrook, though his soul is in Dacana, and after all he did to regain it, he'll never cede it back to Oasis Springs.

Queen Katherine: He has to!
Grand Duchess Kamill: Constitutionally, we can't rule both nations. Glimmerbrook doesn't allow for it, but knowing that Felipe was behind his uncle's assassination to force us out of Glimmerbrook is going to make it even harder for him to cede.
Queen Katherine: It's the best thing for everyone. If he fights, after accepting the Dacanian throne, Oasis Springs will only go to war for Glimmerbrook back!

Queen Katherine: We've both been pawns in Felipe's little game. Not just us but my father too. The choice you and your husband make can end that game, and possibly stop another war! There's no telling who Felipe could hurt next.
Grand Duchess Kamill: (sighs)
Queen Katherine: We can defeat him and any future attacks he make, if we unite.

THE VATISIM, SAN MYSHUNO •
[Cardinals]: (praying) Gloria Patria. Amen.
Cardinal Bergoglio: "Francisco Benedict? Francisco Benedict? Francisco Benedict?"
(silence)
Cardinal Bergoglio: He is with God.

Cardinal Cristé: (removes Fisherman's Ring)

Cardinal Bergoglio: (breaks signet)

Cardinal Cristé: Sede è vacante. The throne of the Holy Seat is vacant.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - The State Visit of Nigeria's Prince Sobwati III has officially ended. It's the first state visit to the country by a Niregian prince in more than 100 years, and Windenburg gave the red carpet treatment to Prince Sobwati III, the man who survived a coup and reignited his country. In Windenburg, on a three-day state visit, the Niregian ruler was hailed as a hero.
During a coup of his country from 2013-2021, the Prince was imprisoned for seven years and the rogue government abolished the monarchy. Amid growing domestic and internasimnal pressure and fears of civil war, then Niregian President Kwame Abinaday released Prince Sobwati in 2020.
Mass protests in the country led to their 2021 general election, in which the prince led the Niregian National Congress (NNC) to victory and became president. They reinstated the monarchy shortly after.
DAY ONE
Crowds of sims waited outside the Simchester Hotel to welcome the ruler. Chanting 'Sobwati', 'Sobwati', they waved Niregian flags and craned their necks for a view of the man who was once known as the Niregian Pimpernel.
Prince Sobwati's state visit to Windenburg began according to tradition. Met by the Duke and Duchess of Kent at Easton's exclusive Simchester Hotel, he and his wife, Dr Jolah Okunola, were whisked off to inspect a guard of honor and be formally welcomed.

At 12:40 pm local time, a Royal gun salute boomed across the capital as the Prince's car glided down the Mall, into the palace grounds.

More crowds lined the streets of The Mall hoping to catch a glimpse of the leader.

The formal welcoming party, headed by the Queen, the Prince consort, Prime Minister Linwood Keller and several top ministers, bore all the traditional pomp and ceremony befitting a visiting head of state.
Queen Katherine appeared pleased to meet the Niregian leader.

Lead violinist of the Windenburg Guards played the Niregian national anthem, incorporating the last few bars of the old Afrikaans anthem, signifying the transition from old to new.

Prince Sobwati, wearing an Eze Kaftan and Osi Cap, then inspected the honor guard.
His walk was stiff, but he appeared as dignified as ever.

Later in the day, the Queen and Prince consort gave a state dinner in Sobwati's honor.
Prince Sobwati and Dr Jolah both wore pieces from The Naija Collections 1 and 2, throughout the course of their State Visit. For the banquet, Dr Jolah matched Prince Sobwati's Eze Kaftan, wearing the Nkechi Dress.
Queen Katherine wore an ivory Royal Tour gown by @rustys-cc for the banquet. The cream color coordinated splendid with the gold and green sash of her Niregian decoration, the Order of Good Hope. The queen coordinated her jewels with the emerald green shade from her order, wearing pieces from Zarah, Queen Dowager's Emerald collection - the Emerald tiara, necklace and earrings. She finished her look with the Order of the Garter, and the Royal Family Order of her father, King George.
Not to be outdone, Prince Rainier also showcased his Order of Good Hope decoration. The Queen and Prince consort were bestowed them earlier in the day.
The pair were seen chatting just before entering the Grand Ballroom, surely discussing something very important.
During the splendid state banquet, the sovereign's speech is highly anticipated. Many were eager to hear how the Queen would address many issues including the long gap between the two nations meeting.

Queen Katherine hailed the former political prisoner as the savior of Niregia, stating:
"I am delighted to welcome you to Buckingsim Palace on this the first state visit to Windenburg by a ruler of Niregia. By coming here you give Prince Rainier and me a chance to return the favor on our own visit to Niregia and thus to underline once more the close friendship between our countries. You have provided the leadership and by your willingness to embrace your former captors have set the course towards nationsim reconciliation and freedom for all the sims of Niregia."

Senior members of the royal family taking seats at the high table were the Queen Mother, who sat between Prince Sobwati and the Prime Minister, and the Duke of Kent, who sat to the left of Dr Jolah.
The Earl and Countess of Boykins sat at the first table to the Queen's right and were often seen chatting.
The Duchess of Kent started the first table to the Queen's left, sitting adjacent to the Duke of Kent.
The Duke and Duchess of Hastings sat beside her, enjoying their first state banquet.

A host of other dignitaries and Nobles filled the Grand Ballroom, all getting quite excited when dinner was served; mixing traditional Niregian dishes with Windenburg favorites.

The most exciting item on display in the rear of the Grand Ballroom was a portrait of Queen Katherine and Prince Rainier from their Oct 2013 wedding. The portrait replaces one of the late King George and Queen Rowena from their Jul 1990 wedding.
DAY TWO

Rising early to plant a commemorative tree in Edward park, Prince Sobwati then went on to meet the Commonwealth Secretary General, address business leaders, and have lunch with the Prime Minister.

Prince Sobwati met with 15 of the top business leaders in Windenburg. The visit was designed to persuade Windenburg business to invest in Niregia.

When Prince Sobwati arrived at 10 Downing for lunch and talks with Linwood Keller, it was already his fourth engagement of the day.

Full Windenburg pomp and ceremony then surrounded the Niregian Prince at the Palace of Windsor, where he addressed both Houses of Parliament.
He pointed to the newly planted tree as a symbol of the growing bond between his country's fledgling democracy and the United Kingdom.

That evening, the Prince and Princess attended a special ceremony at Buckingsim Palace in which he was showered with honorary academic degrees.
At the suggestion of the Prince consort, who is Chancellor of the University of Britechester, Prince Sobwati received doctorates from five universities -- including Foxbury and Britechester.
DAY THREE

The Niregian Prince and Princess were mobbed by an adoring crowd when they went on a walkabout in south Easton on Sunday morning - the last day of his state visit to Windenburg.
A larger crowd greeted the Prince in central Easton's Platz Plaza. Prince Sobwati addressed that crowd from the balcony of the Foreign Office.

Thousands later packed the lawn of the Energy Centre in south Easton to catch a glimpse of the Prince. A huge cheer erupted when, accompanied by the Queen Mother, he finally arrived.

The mic was virtually drowned out by the audience chanting and clapping for the Niregian prince to speak.
At last, he took the microphone, obviously touched by the display of devotion saying:
"I wish I had big pockets so that when I leave I could take all of you and put you in my pockets and go back to Niregia with you."
During Prince Sobwati's last engagement in the UK, he spoke of the support he and his wife gained from the Windenburg sims.
He then left to host a special lunch at the Simchester Hotel for the Queen, followed by a private audience at the palace with Her Majesty.

When he departed for the airport, waiting outside the palace was yet another huge crowd. It was their chance to bid farewell to the man who had captivated Eastoner's hearts for the last three days.

In that short time he'd been toasted by the Queen, received the freedom of the city, addressed both Houses of Parliament and was showered with honorary university degrees.
Sobwati also defied the norm of wearing a suit during his visits to Buckingsim Palace, maintaining his signature bright African-inspired prints that defied the rigid royal strictures reserved for other dignitaries when meeting the sovereign.
A royal insider said of the pair:
"They share the same sense of duty, the sense of service and a calling that they adhere to throughout their lives, and there's a visible deep respect between the two of them, having an appreciation for tradition within their own sims nations."
We are sure the Queen will be planning a State Visit to Niregia soon but for now, Windenburg and the Queen can bask in the success of a marvelous State Visit.

BUCKINGSIMSHIRE, Windenburg (SNN) - - Months of preparation, 1,600 pieces of cutlery and dozens of esteemed guests… SNN reveals all that will go into Queen Katherine’s big night.
State Visits are formal visits by Heads of State, designed to strengthen ties between the two nations involved. The last incoming State Visit to the UK was in Jan 2023 when King George hosted South Marvanian President, Mandela Ofoluwah.
As she was grieving and also pregnant, the queen did not host any state visits during her first year as queen. Her Majesty also spent much of her pregnancy at her Brindleton Bay home, Beaverdam, all to the opposition of parliament.
This year marks the palaces first state visit in over two years, and it's a significant one. Niregia has not visited Windenburg in over a century; though the two nations share a common connection: Queen Lara-Leigh, a Niregian-born princess!
- The visit marks Queen Katherine's first state visit since becoming monarch
The Queen has pulled out all the stops to ensure Prince Sobwati III has a splendid time in the country, involved in not just the governmental aspects of his visit but planning the details at the palace, more specifically, the state dinner.
Queen Katherine, while Duchess of Brindleton Bay, was heavily involved in many state dinners during the reign of King George. Her Majesty discussed how she plans to honor the late monarch next week.
"The late King only visited the country [Niregia] once, as Prince of Brindleton Bay, but expressed great admiration for the country and its people, its vibrancy, natural beauty and diversity. I want the banquet to bring all of those things to life... as well as through art. We also relocated my father's famous 2022 George painting to the ballroom for the special occasion! He'll be close."
As host, the queen oversees all aspects of the state dinner which is held at the palace on night one. The venue, as ever, will be the opulent Ballroom, where the traditional horseshoe shaped table will be laid with some 1,600 pieces of cutlery and hundreds of pieces of crockery; each laid with military precision and personally signed off by the Queen herself.
The grand ballroom has hosted dignitaries, royals, celebrities, and more since the reign of Edward I.
- The Duke and Duchess of Kent resume a role they first undertook in 1995
This morning, the Palace released the itinerary of Prince Sobwati's three day visit next week, revealing that Prince Louis and Margot will both be playing a major role in proceedings; a role they often played during the early reign of Louis' brother, King George.
Prince Sobwati and his wife will be greeted by the Duke and Duchess of Kent at his Easton hotel on behalf of the Queen, on Friday morning. In 2022, Katherine and Rainier greeted the President of South Marvania on behalf of the King. After taking on more duties at the age of 21, this duty fell to Katherine, in her role at the time of Duchess of Brindleton Bay.
They will then travel together to the palace for a ceremonial welcome with Queen Katherine. Traditionally, the ceremonial welcome takes place at the Horse Guards Parade [before a carriage procession back to the palace] but road construction has halted those plans.
- Queen Katherine with her Private Secretary's and the Lord Chamberlain
A white tie banquet will be held on Friday evening, with the Queen and Queen Mother both appearing in tiaras. Speeches will be made by the Queen, and by the prince.
This sequence follows the format traditionally adopted during the reign of the late King.
As part of tradition, on Saturday morning, Prince Sobwati will plant a tree in Edward park. Visiting Heads of State are giving the option to either plant a tree in Edward park or lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior at Memorial Arch.
Prime Minister Linwood Keller will be next to receive a visit from Prince Sobwati, who will meet him in Downing Street before heading to the Palace of Windsor. There, he will give a special address to both Houses of Parliament. SNN will air the daytime address.
On Sunday, the prince will make stops and speeches at the Foreign Embassy in Platz Plaza, the Energy Centre in south Easton, and the Windenburg Royal Museum before heading back to the Palace to bid farewell to the Queen.

SAN BEBINBUR, Windenburg (SNN) - - Princess Anna of Kent is married...again! Anna and Marsh have decided to give it another go, shocking the sims world with the news on the cover of People magazine. The couple have had a rocky road, since first marrying in 2014. Marsh was 20, Anna was 19, and a junior at Britechesster University, when her uncle King George approved their union.
Daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, Princess Anna, has experienced a great deal of passion and pain in her short life, from the cheating scandal that rocked the royal family, to her kidnapping that captured the sims worlds attention. Is rekindled love her happy ending?
The couple re-wed in a private ceremony in San Bebinbur with the only witnesses being their children, Lady Sadira and Lord Martin.
During an exclusive chat with People, the princess revealed the family had been living at Kently Palace together since 2023 "yeah... we've actually all been together since 2023, right at 3A!".
After the 2023 fire at Royal Lodge displaced Anna and the kids, the pair whose divorce had not yet finalized, decided to give love another try. "Moving back home [to Kently] seemed like the right fit. It allowed us the space to restart."

WHO IS "WE"?

CARMICHAEL PENTHOUSE, EASTON • MARCH 2025
Queen Katherine: Sorry for the extra security. Kevin must accompany me everywhere, in light of the recent news. Of course the media made it a bigger spectacle.
Lord James: You don't think him being so visible feeds the fire?
Queen Katherine: It wasn't my idea. They decided for me, as always.

Lord James: The treaty is real. It was over 100 years ago and, clearly, Oasis Springs doesn't remember the clause.
Queen Katherine: It would be hard to forget the potential to make §10 billion simoleons!
Lord James: If they were to remember, it could cause a global war. We have known this, and other secrets, for decades.
Queen Katherine: We?

Lord James: There is a group. A society. Its members consist of some of the sims worlds most powerful and elite. The founding chapter was here in Windenburg.
Queen Katherine: What does this society do?
Lord James: They use their power, wealth and influence to "ensure balance".
Queen Katherine: To control the world.

Lord James: Look, you are not the only one who knows about the treaty. Your father...
Queen Katherine: My father, what?
Lord James: He was a complicated man.

Lord James: You are also not the only one who knows Udaku is a threat. He has raised suspicion for a few years.
Queen Katherine: and this society is going to stop him?
Lord James: It's not that simple, but there are plans in place.

Queen Katherine: I don't understand. My government is being undermined and stolen by another nation and you're telling me some secret society has "a plan"?
Lord James: There are things about Windenburg's past you are not aware of; a history that many have fought to keep hidden.
Queen Katherine: Well, help me understand! I am the queen, am I not?

Lord James: If Udaku, or anyone in the Oasis Springs government were to discover the treaty's clause before Windenburgs general election, they could not only demand the money from Glimmerbrook, they could go to war against them.
Queen Katherine: What?

Lord James: Oasis Springs would surely be supported by North Marvania. If Udaku is PM, he would surely break our alliance with Glimmerbrook.
Queen Katherine: Ensuring a war.
Lord James: It's obvious the Democratic Party is going to win. The challenge we have is how, and when, to expose Udaku.

Queen Katherine: This society...
Lord James: What about it?
Queen Katherine: Was my father a member?

BUCKINGSIMSHIRE, Windenburg (SNN) - - The Crown Estate released their annual report. Nearly two years after ascending to the Windenburg throne, Queen Katherine is bringing in a major pay raise.
Katherine, 32, and fellow members of Windenburg's royal family are expected to see a nearly §15 million increase in the Sovereign Grant, the money the royal family receives annually from the U.K. government.
The increase is a result of increased profits from the Crown Estate, a large portfolio of assets that includes more than 114,000 acres of rural land, including the famed Windsor Castle; as well as retail and leisure businesses and high-end Easton properties.
The Crown Estate's profits rose from §27.2 million in 2022-23 to §43 million in 2023-24, according to its annual report released Wednesday.
The boost in profits was largely driven by the sale of offshore wind farm leases in the seabeds surrounding the U.K. which are owned by the Crown Estate.
The Crown Estate is not owned by the royal family and its profits are controlled by the U.K. Treasury, which then allocates a percentage of the profits to the royal family to fund their official duties, including maintaining official residencies, paying staff and funding official trips.
This lump sum, which is given every year, is called the sovereign grant; different from the privy purse.
The Privy Purse is the sovereign's private income, mostly from the Duchy of Cavalier, which is a portfolio of land, property, and assets held in Trust for the reigning Sovereign. The Duchy was valued at approximately §103.1 million in 2024.
The Duchy of Brindleton Bay estate, established in 1837 and made up of land across Windenburg, traditionally gets passed down to the heir to the throne upon succession. When Katherine became queen in 2023, the estate was passed down to Phillip, her eldest son. The Duchy was valued at approximately §27.4 million in 2024, receiving a §7 million profit from the estate.
The improved finances for the royal family come amid a cost-of-living crisis in the U.K.
News of the monarchy's expected funding increase nonetheless drew backlash on social media, with Kevius Givens, the associate editor of the left-leaning tabloid The Glass, saying on X that there was "no cost of living squeeze for indulged Queen Katherine."
For years, Windenburg has been plagued by a spiraling cost-of-living crisis, with real wages flatlining for a decade, leaving the U.K.'s average salary at just §22,669, or $31,000, as prices for utilities and food have soared.
Government figures show 25% of children are growing up in poverty and Windenburg has the second worst rate of homelessness in the developed world (next to Americreek), according to the Organization for Econosims Cooperation and Development.
The economy and inflation are among the top issues fueling the Democratic Party's 12 point lead ahead of general election in a few months, threatening to end the Conservative government's 21-year rule.

THE SIMDIAN CIRCLET TIARA

The Royal House of Windsor: A Royal Tiara Collection
THE SIMDIAN CIRCLET TIARA
Edward I designed this magnificent Tiara that features lotus flowers within seventeen mughal arches set in 2,600 diamonds, and originally containing opals, from Hammond in Easton for around §860 in 1910. The King was inspired by The East Simdia Company’s display at The Great Exhibition of 1909, and chose the tiara based on the designs he had seen there.
Queen Lara-Leigh first wore the piece to the Debutante Presentation Court at Windsor Castle in 1911, and famously in her 1912 Simdian Official Portrait. Over the years, she wore it on numerous occasions to a variety of events such as Galas and State Visits.
Despite not wearing it during her widowhood, Queen Lara-Leigh designated the Simdian Circlet Tiara as an Heirloom of the Crown upon her death in 1962, “to be worn by future Queens in right of it”.

The following year, her daughter-in-law, Queen Zarah, thinking of opals as unlucky, replaced them with rubies from various Simdian Jewels given to Queen Lara-Leigh and King Edward I by Simdian Princes during their 1912 Delshi Simbar. The seventeen mughal arches were reduced to eleven, and parts of the tiara were made removable to be replaced with “large single diamonds” for “when a lighter and more simple tiara is required”, though that version has never been publicly worn. Despite the changes, the Tiara was not a favorite of Queen Zarah nor her daughter-in-law, Queen Rowena.
After wearing it to a film premiere in 1978, it remained publicly unworn until 1999.

In 1992, when King George came to the Throne, the new Queen Rowena had roughly four Tiaras, as most of the prominent royal jewels still belonged to Queen Zarah, and were a part of her personal collection. At that time, the Simdian Circlet Tiara came out of the vault and was deemed to be a suitably grand Tiara for the new Queen consort.
Despite its large size, the Simdian Circlet Tiara was one that never seemed a favorite of the new Queen. She only wore the piece during a state visit in 1999 and it has not been seen publicly since.
One of the most expensive tiaras, estimated to be worth upwards of §6 million, it is currently in her daughter, Queen Katherine's possession.

LYKKE, Windenburg (SNN) - - Broderick Park released photos of the Earl and Countess of Boykins along with their new son, Viscount Addie, who was baptized yesterday.
Princess Lara was photographed holding Eli, who is 5 months old, as the trio were seen departing Broderick Park, their house in Lykke. The couple chose to christen their son in the private chapel at Buckingsim Palace instead of having a traditional service at Westsimster Abbey.
The Chapel was created by Edward I in 1874 in what was originally designed as a conservatory. The last christening held in the chapel was that of the Duke of Kent's in 1966. Since then, royal christenings have taken place at the Abbey.

Released by Broderick Park, the Queen and Queen Mother joined the Countess of Boykins and Viscount Addie in photos taken in the Yellow Drawing Room at Buckingsim Palace.
Eli is the fifth grandchild of the Queen Mother and the late King George, and the first nephew of Queen Katherine. Eli, who is titled as Viscount Addie, was born in November. Though he is the grandson of a king, he is not styled as a prince. Grandchildren of daughters of the monarch do not automatically receive the full royal title and style of His/Her Royal Highness Prince/Princess. Eli is heir to the earldom of Boykins and thus uses his father's subsidiary title Viscount Addie.

The Countess wore the pale blue Violetta dress and Princess of IX hat by @rustys-cc, bringing out her famous ice-blue eyes, a signature trait within the Windenburg royal family.
The christening gown Eli wore was last worn by his cousin, Prince Michael, when he and twin brother Prince Samuel were christened last year.
The gown, made from Hointon lace and lined with white satin, was made for Prince Williams’s christening in 1845 and handmade by Queen Adaline’s dressmaker Lady Kelly Scott. A total of three gowns were made with only two still in existence.
