EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - The 2025 Championships Brambledon ended on Sunday after a riveting set of finals inside Felix Court. The two-week long Grand Slam saw the sims world's top tennis stars descend on Easton, boosting the economy by §11m.

The All Windenburg Club, which unveiled massive renovations in 2021, that saw Felix Court get a much-needed facelift and new retractable roof, unveiled even more renovations ahead of this years games - adding four more courts and retractable bleacher seats on the outer courts. The renovations were part of a five year plan made by club owners and backed by the Crown, who are royal patrons.

Naomi Osimka claimed her sixth career grand slam women's singles title, and second Brambledon on Saturday, coming from behind to defeat world No. 5, Ira Badova, 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 in a thrilling Brambledon women’s final.

Osimka, who won the 2023 title, took out the defending champion, Maryna Andrenka, in a straight sets semi-final. In addition to her second Brambledon, she also has three Americreek Open titles and one O.S. Open title.

Badova won the 2024 and 2025 O.S. Open women's singles title - the first Oasis Springs woman to do so since Camila Ramirez in 1983.

It looked in the early stages as if Osimka would be thwarted, as if Badova would have too much for her opponent after a combination of supreme serves and some well-placed drop shots ensured she took an early lead.

But, having broken Osimka twice and finding herself 4-1 and 40-0 up, Badova suddenly began struggling with her serve in the windy conditions on Felix Court. Five consecutive points for Osimka, two of which came from Badova’s double faults, meant the Mt Komorebian was back in the contest.

The final blow came when Badova was issued a point penalty for racket abuse early in the third set. In the final game, the Mt Komorebian survived a break point and, after Badova’s backhand return dropped wide, secured her sixth grand slam singles title, and second Brambledon.

The Queen Mother attended both the women's and gentlemen's singles finals, handing out trophies to the players as patron.

The Queen Mother often wears Brambledon's official colors, green, yellow and purple, when attending the tournament. For the women's final this year, she chose emerald green. Wearing the Honey Coat Dress by @theroyalsims, Her Majesty presented Osimka with her second Brambledon.

In the race for women's Grand Slam singles titles, Osimka now leads the pack amongst active players with six. Windenburg native, Serena Wilson retired from the sport in 2023 with a whopping twenty-three major single's titles, the most in the open era.

The Countess of Boykins joined Her Majesty on Sunday for the gentlemen's singles final. The pair walked in together and were seen happily chatting throughout the match.

The Countess, who is also an avid tennis fan, has attended many Brambledon matches throughout the years.

Her Royal Highness famously attended the 2018 gentlemen's singles finals when a fan yelled out to the princess, in the middle of a tense third set, asking for her hand in marriage. The laughter broke a tense moment on court between Rafa Nastal and Roger Felder, who were competing for their 13th and 14th grand slam singles title, respectively. Felder would go on to win the title, thanking the mid-match proposal for giving him the push "and laughter" to keep going.

The princess declined the proposal.

The 2025 gentlemen's singles finals saw world No. 1, Zen Miller, mount an extraordinary comeback to also defend his title, defeating world No. 3 Novak Markovik 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2). Miller lost in the recent 2024 OS Open singles final to Rafa Nastal.

Markovik, who has won this title seven times, was hoping to reclaim some of his former glory but was no match for Millers defense of the baseline. In the longest final in tournament history, the Windenburgian demonstrated incredible resolve to fend off three championship points for Markovik in the fourth set and somehow go on to win in a fifth-set tiebreaker, the first ever time that any man has pulled off such a feat at Brambledon, according to broadcaster SNN Sports.

Markovik struggled after winning the first set, often losing his balance and ending points quickly in the net.

The pair have battled for slams over the last two years, though Markovik says Nastal (who is retiring this year) and Felder (who retired in 2023) are his biggest rivals.

Miller lost in the 2023 Americreek Open semis to Markovik, as well as the 2024 Americreek Open final. Miller redeemed himself by winning Gold at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Oasis Springs, defeated Markovik, who had beat him two weeks prior in the Americreek Open final.

But the world No. 1 has never won any of them quite like this. Even the endless parade of records this match set doesn’t quite do justice to the remarkable tennis on display.

The Queen Mother is said to have joked that Miller "should hit more backhands down the line," indicating her engagement with the tournament's events, including this historic match.

Continuing her emerald green theme, Her Majesty wore the Beloved Coat to the gentlemen's final. In 2023, she chose mint green for her appearances at both the gentlemen and women's finals. In 2024, she chose yellow, both nods to the club's colors. Her Majesty also wears a purple and green bow pin, further signifying her connection to the All Windenburgs Lawn Tennis Club.

Miller broke a Brambledon record last year by becoming the first Windenburgian to win back-to-back Brambledon's since Buddy Harris in 1937. With his win this year, he now leads the pack as the most successful Windenburg gentlemen's Brambledon winner.

Miller has now won his fifth major title at the age of 22 years, and against one of the greatest of all times.

The 2025 Championships Brambledon was a massive success for the city, and the sims of Windenburg.

Written and managed by the Royal Household at Buckingsim Palace, the site aims to provide an authoritative resource of information about the Monarchy and Royal Family, past and present.

SIMSTAGRAM

The Royal Family has an official Simstagram account that documents the work of various royals, including the Queen and the Prince consort.

Their recent posts have included condolences on the death of the pope, a video celebrating Easter, as well as images from the Niregian State Visit.

Princess Lara and Anthony are also on Simstagram, with their new account as the Earl and Countess of Boykins, based out of Broderick Park.

The Earl and Countess have shared several inspiring quotes on their official Simstagram account. They have also shared their own reflections on their journey, and their commitment to making a difference in the sims world.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - After winning 4 Gramee Awards in February, the Queen of Music, Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit tour in Del Sol Valley on Monday, delivering a nearly three-hour performance that proved it certainly ain’t Queen Bey’s first sims rodeo.

The concert at FoSi Stadium in Del Sol Valley, Americreek was a celebration of Southern Black Sims culture, freedom of expression and Beyoncé’s own family, with appearances by her two daughters Blue and Rumi Carter.

Beyoncé’s approximately 31-song setlist spanned the Gramee-winner’s robust catalogue, as she performed songs from 2008’s “I Am… Sasha Fierce” to 2022’s “Renaissance” to, of course, last year’s “Cowboy Carter.”

Beyoncé will take her tour to Willow Creek on 15 May, after her run in Del Sol Valley, before bringing the rodeo across the pond to the UK 25-26 May.

Home of the Easton Royals, Royals Stadium, which seats 90,000, SOLD OUT tickets for the first night in 8 minutes prompting the superstar to add a second date.

Carter-Knowles was last in Easton for her massive Renaissance Tour just over a year ago. The tour gave a massive boost to the economy. I'm sure Windenburg's government is hoping Queen Bey once again helps stimulate a dire economy.

VATISIM CITY, San Myshuno (SNN) - - We have a pope!

Workers Monday morning installed the red curtain on St. John's Basilica ahead of the start of the Conclave on Wednesday, and after three days of voting, the Cardinals have chosen their next pope.

It began on Wednesday, with 66 cardinals attending. Only cardinals under the age of 80 are allowed to vote in a papal election. The conclave started with a special Mass at St. John’s Basilica before walking to the Simstine Chapel.

The Simstine Chapel is where voting takes place. During the conclave, the chapel was placed under total lockdown to guarantee secrecy. In 2015, signal blockers were installed to prevent any calls, texts or internet access.

A candidate needs two-thirds of the vote to be elected. The results of each vote are revealed to the outside sims world only by the smoke that comes out from the Simstine Chapel’s chimney each time ballots are burned.

Black smoke means no pope has been chosen. White smoke means the opposite. Today, white smoke appeared.

The previous two conclaves — held in 2002 to elect Pope Benedict VI, and in 2015 to elect Pope Francis XVI — only lasted two days. They were both revealed in the evening of the conclave’s second day. Michael II, the longest-reigning pope of modern sims times, was selected on the third day, in 1973.

After a new pope is elected, white and yellow bunting (the colors of the Holy See) is draped on church doors. The banner, mirroring the Vatisim flag's colors, is draped over the balcony to celebrate and announce the new pope.

Banners are often hung to welcome a papal visit, or mark a significant event like a funeral.

Cardinal Paul Bergoglio then made history.

The newly elected pontiff, now known as Pope Paul II, is the first pope from the United States of Americreek, and the new leader of the sims world’s 43.7 million Cathlosims.

The 76-year-old from Newcrest stepped into his role as the 116th pope on the balcony of St. John’s Basilica on Saturday evening, addressing thousands of cheering Cathlosims with the words: “Peace be with you all.”

As he addressed the crowd in St. John’s Square, Paul paid tribute to the late pontiff Francis, urging them to remember the late pope’s legacy of unity before outlining his own vision for the Cathlosim Church.

In his speech, Pope Paul outlined his vision for the Cathlosim Church as one that “builds bridges” and engages in conversation. “We have to seek together to be a missionary church. A sims church that builds bridges and dialogue,” he said.

The new pope also called on sims to “show our charity” to others “and be in dialogue with love,” according to a Windenburg translation.

He mostly spoke in Italian, but at one point he switched to English to address his “beloved diocese” in Americreek. He also thanked his fellow cardinals for choosing him to lead the sims church.

Kareeda [P.S.]: I can ensure you the royal marriage is perfectly fine. The Queen and Prince consort are happy and will depart for their much needed Spring holiday together at their Sumpterson estate tomorrow. Yes?

Kareeda [P.S.]: The Queen does not currently have plans to attend. The Queen Mother is scheduled to attend Championship Weekend. As patron, the Queen Mother has attended and handed out the men's and women's final trophy since 1998. Yes?

SAN MYSHUNO, Windenburg (SNN) - - Who will be the next pope? The College of Cardinals, or more formally the Sacred College of Cardinals, is the body of all cardinals of the Cathlosim Church. As of 29 December 2025, its current membership is 66, of whom 39 are eligible to vote in a conclave to elect a new pope.

Cardinals are appointed for life by the Holy Father to serve as his principal assistants and advisers in the central administration of church affairs.

The conclave, a secretive vote to elect the next pope is held within the Simstine Chapel of St John’s Basilica in San Myshuno, the home of conclave; the Vatisim is the administrative headquarters of the pope. Upon the death or resignation of a pope, cardinals initiate elaborate rituals.

The ballot papers are burned after votes, with crowds waiting outside in St. John’s Square for white smoke to rise from the chapel chimney signaling a new pontiff.

This conclave is going to be crucial for deciding the future direction of the Cathlosim Church, and the field of candidates is wide open thanks to Pope Francis’ reforms.

During his pontificate, Francis overhauled the composition of the body that will elect his successor, making it more representative of the sims-wide church.

He threw out the old, unwritten rulebook that bishops of certain dioceses (several of them in Windenburg) would automatically be made cardinals and instead gave red hats to bishops in parts of the sims world that had never had them before, such as South Marvania, Mt Komorebi and New Wythonia. Several of them are “outsiders” to the Cathlosim system, so it makes it harder to predict how they will vote.

Nevertheless, only a few cardinals have the requisite skills, experience and personality suitable to taking on the role of leading the Cathlosim Church.

Papal candidates are known as “papabile” or translated from the Brindleton Bay, “pope-able.” The vast majority of the papabile were appointed by Pope Francis, although two were chosen by Leo XVI. Here are some of the top contenders.

Along with the seven frontrunners, other candidates might also emerge.

The voting process is kept secret but will take place with the eyes of the sims world on Vatisim City.

Kareeda [P.S.]: We received rave reviews in the press after the outing with Your Majesty, the Prince consort, and the Earl and Countess of Boykins last week. The press have dubbed you the new "Fab Four"! Parliament believes your good ratings will help the sims of Windenburg move past their recent scandals.

Martin [P.S.]: With that being said, they'd like to include the Earl and Countess on additional engagements with you this week.

Queen Katherine: No. Absolutely not. The monarchy is not some spectacle that Parliament gets to use. Their image is not the royal family's to fix. Keller learned that the hard way. The Crown must remain steadfast. If I have legitimate engagements I feel the Earl and Countess should attend I will approve.

Kareeda [P.S.]: (silence)

Martin [P.S.]: The Vatisim has shared the date of the pope's funeral. You will be on spring holiday at Sumpterson. Should we confirm your attendance?

Queen Katherine: Absolutely! (sarcastically) If I missed the popes funeral that would make national news, and only add more scandal and negative press and we don't want that, remember?

Kareeda [P.S.]: Lord Danberry recently returned to Windenburg and, as the 6th Viscount St Lester, he has a place at court.

Queen Katherine: Yes, Rainier mentioned it. He has been abroad and knows nothing of court life.

Martin [P.S.]: Correct. His late father had a very challenging relationship with His late Majesty in the 90s and stopped participating. His grandmother would surely guide him.

Queen Katherine: Okay, well what's the issue?

Martin [P.S.]: We recommend creating him Earl of St Lester. You have four noble earls on court and they're all over the age of 50!

Queen Katherine: Well, the Earl of Bridgestone is 43.

Queen Katherine: I haven't heard a substantiative reason. I cannot create an earldom "just because." Having an understanding of royal protocol will be important in this role, Kareeda.

29 April Today was tough. I can't wait to take a break! It's just been so much lately. Was up around 6 for breakfast and meetings, followed by 12 audiences - if it weren't for Ld Delilah being with me! Goodness! I am beyond overwhelmed. Parliament has been quite demanding lately, and the family always has an issue needing my involvement. To top it off, I feel like I've been the worst wife and mother lately. If one more thing happens, I'm going to lose it! You know, I've been reading more of father's journals lately. He always seemed so tense, so stressed. Is that how my reign is going to be?
