I couldn't wait for the new pack, so I did something..

I gave Nina & Dina Caliente a teenager makeover.. and of course I did one for Don Lothario, too. The Caliente Sisters are Cheerleaders and Don is the Quarterback. Do I need to say more?

Nancy Landgraab is the rich kid from the Oasis Springs Elite and a little snob (maybe I was kinda inspired by Sharpay Evens from High School Musical). An Malcom Corbett her easy to form High School Sweetheart.

Eliza Newbie, as nerdie overachiever & Bob Pancakes, the footballteam mate also as sweethearts. I mean.. they must been happy together at some point in life, right?

I couldn't end this without Bella Bachelor & Mortimer Goth back when Bella still was a romantic daydreaming school girl.

Long time no see..

It's 1720 now in my game and the 2nd generation is just about to get married!

Remember little André? My Heir is married to Chloé (the girl on the left, who is secretly in love with the girl on the right - Anne, the Cousin of André - the drama!)

This is Bastien and Daphné who are going to be married soon. But Bastien not so secretly loves Chloé and is very mad about the wedding of André and Chloé.

And the third born son Calvin and his soon to be fiancé Èlodie. He's not very flirty yet he tries and succeeds.

Anne the Cousin who lost their parents at a very young age moved to the merciers when she was 10 and grew up with the five brothers. She's now married to Edgar Gauthier (a Townie).

Dominique & Emilien are up to no good also grew up to teens recently. I'm so excited to see who the lucky girls are that they will end up with!

Also.. an update on Raphael and Camille.. they aren't together anymore just pretending for the family's sake at this point. Camille hooked up with a townie and Raphael was flirting with some other women too. They had a huge fight.. I guess it's not exactly a happy ending for them, sadly. The 1710s were wild and with a lot of unexpected drama and spice. I'm so excited what 1720's brings.. so many new beginnings and weddings to plan for.. 🖤

13. Which neighborhoods are your favorite for decades? Do any fit a certain time period better than others? I love Windenburg and Henford on Bagley. My current decades is in Windenburg 'cause I played my last decades in Henford and it filled up so quickly with side families that I wanted to start out in a bigger world to have the family around for a longer time. I also loved Oasis Springs for the 1950s to 1980s when it comes to the mid-century styled homes. Willow creek with it's french colonial style is also one of my favorite worlds for decades and Brindleton with the Dutch Colonial/New England Build Style. 18. What do you struggle with most in historical gameplay? I'm always annoyed when Townies show up with their tablets or smartphones or when your sim takes a selfie somehow without electricity even invented. Another thing is the modern elements in the worlds like statue's you can't get rid off. I tried the timeless mod but it's still pretty much the same. I'm still wishing for a medieval pack at some point. 20. Share a “behind the scenes” fact or story about your save file/challenge

My decades save is mostly a collection of dead sims from previous saves. My founders both died as a teen and a baby in their original saves. Camille died on her toddler roll in my Original Decades she was originally named Nimue Sandersen after the Arthur Saga. Raphaël (originally named Matthew Remington, he would have been king one day) died as a teen on a heart attack cause he came back from school enraged in my Disney Villain (Decades Style) Challenge. So I gave them a new life and their own legacy as my new Decades Founders. Nimue's older sister (Caelia) who died as a teen as well also made it to the new Decades Save File as Townie. Another Townie is the current heir of my old legacy I gave up on. Almost all of my first Townie generation has a story like that and I kinda love every single one of them even if I don't play them.

Historical Gameplay Ask!

7. How do you chose your heirs? I have a patriarchy, it's usually the first born son if he survives his toddler to teen rolls. If he somehow doesn't survive the second born son will be heir and so on. I usually stick to that pretty well for historical challenges. I always struggle with choosing an heir in normal legacies though.

9. How are spouses/partners chosen for your sims? I usually tend to look out for someone who has the most difference to my heir. If for example my heir has brown hair & blue eyes I usually always look out for a redhead, black hair or blonde with green or brown eyes, a good chin and special skin details like moles or freckles.

11. Do you keep track of individual years for your challenge or just the general decade/era? I use the spreadsheet from stephandminnie as a base but I customized it to my needs. For example I play on long life span and play 8 days a year. I track every day and also the townie population. I've got a whole townhall section were every married couple and baby born into the world is written down with birthdate and death year.. I'm a little (huge) control freak, when it comes to my decades save.

Neoclassicism was the main art style of the Age of Enlightenment. It drew inspiration from the art and culture of classical antiquity and placed emphasis on symmetry, proportion as well as geometry. It started in the 1760s as the opponent of rococo and slowly faded away around the middle of the XIXth century.
