Man, I got so absorbed in the game and story unfolding last night I forgot to take pictures! Honestly if you’re into family gameplay and letting stories tell themselves, I highly recommend the Woohoo Wellness mod. 

Basically what happened after my last post is, after the grieving period Jun decided he actually wasn’t emotionally ready to try for a child again. Unfortunately, Kari got pregnant anyway (even with protection) and that caused... issues. Kari very much wanted this baby, saw it as another chance at motherhood, while also full of anxiety over the possibility of another miscarriage. Jun, however, did not want it, just didn’t think he had it in him to be a dad now. It caused a lot of strain between them, but he never did try to pressure her to get rid of it, and supported her through it regardless.

When their son, Shouta, was born, Jun didn’t feel any attachment to him, and felt very guilty about it. But after some time taking care of him while Kari rested, he finally was able to bond and accept his new parental role in life. Here he is with little Shouta, finally a happy family. 

And for the record, none of that was made up by me. Those were actual moodlets they were getting and stuff as part of the mod. It was very emotionally taxing to play, but also as I said, I was very absorbed in it, the most absorbed I'd been in the sims in a while.

Alright, well, this is a depressing mess. 

I didn’t even really take pictures to introduce them yet, but uh, this is Jun and Kari Sugimoto. Jun’s a dedicated salaryman, Kari is a house wife, and they were excited to be parents. Sadly, all the way in her third trimester Kari had a sudden miscarriage. It is, understandably, hitting them both really hard. Jun’s probably going to take some time off work to grieve with his poor wife. 

This was also how we discovered that what we thought was a son was going to be twin sons. They named them Yoshirou and Takuma, and their epitaphs read “We never met you, but we loved you.”

So uh, to explain what’s happening here, I decided to start out with a very boring, simple household, a salaryman and his wife, and then let their child/ren develop however they may and go from there, with the child being the actual main sim. But uh, obviously that hasn’t worked out as expected.

Yeah, I recently got back into sims. I am trying to hold back on ridiculous amounts of mods and cc this time. I am being more selective, getting only things I feel I need (no so filling my game with a million CAS items and ridiculous in-depth drug mods lol). I have way too many food mods but that’s the only place I’ve really let myself go wild. And even then I’m paring them down a bit now.

I played a little without posting just to get back into the feel of things, and now I’m swapping out some mods and removing a few as well, and then I’m starting over and will probably be posting stuff here!

Not that anyone probably cares, it’s not like I usually do in-depth stories since I prefer to just let the sims tell their own story. But hey, it’s my blog and I can announce my return to it if I want :P

It’s Pride Day in my Sweet save! 💕

Got really excited looking at Icemunmun’s mill stuff that I could potentially run a family-owned little grocery store in which my own sims grow and make all the produce as well. So I made the Ruckers, Jeremiah the Farmer and Father, Maeve the Store Manager and Mother, and Marley the Daughter, who after Mama went through all that trouble to make dinner and set the table, decided to eat on the couch. She’s mad that they moved to Brindleton Bay instead of Newcrest. 

So, the story I have going for this family is that they had a farm and store set-up somewhere else, but they got run out by Sim Wal-Mart... so they picked up and moved to Brindleton Bay. It’ll be hard starting from scratch, but Jeremiah has a good feeling about this place.

I’m setting up a new save file to play in like I did before, with a bunch of my own families with interconnected stories, etc. I’m currently at the townie makeover stage, and Eliza Pancakes is looking good if I do say so myself.

Making all the prominent characters in one of my current D&D games as sims. Here’s Levanael, aka Lev, tiefling divine soul sorcerer. His concept was basically “What if someone was simultaneously a tiefling and an aasimar?” He has a very complicated family history lol

He’s a bit of a rich bitch if you can’t tell, but he is lawful good.
