In the last few days I decided to go back to Sims 2 to remake Shiona (I'm not sure if I should keep this neighborhood name) once again.

I've already lost count of how many attempts I've made on it. It's been taking me too long to remake it, and the original neighborhood story that I had in my head has become so boring that I'd rather write it again. I thought for a long time how to make this neighborhood interesting so that it could be published, maybe, but… I just want to be able to play it. Without mega-plots, without a quest. A simple neighborhood, partly with secrets, partly with creepiness.

Now I decided to return to the idea of ​​what I initially wanted to do with Arbordale terrain - to reduce the land near the town and remake the roads. In SimCity 4, I was finally able to import the district template that was needed, and based on it, already on the new land, re-create a similar landscape, but for my needs. For now, the district is still in the process, because I think what else can be removed from the land and how to create a transition between empty zones and decorations.

Yeah, a minor update for save file.

I downloaded the mod for reward objects from the last event only for phones, to add a little charm to the witch houses. And even if they aren't working, and even if the characters have access to smartphones, not all of them are ready to give up the usual and convenient form of communication. Polly generally uses a smartphone only for work purposes, nothing more.

I don’t know yet which phone to choose for the interior of the third house, which is in the process of makeover.

What's really important here - when I customize characters with cheats, I notice how their attraction to each other constantly changes. Right now, there are literally 2 sorcerers who only have "Nature Enthusiast" and "Funny" as common traits of attraction, but when I added the "Ancient Bloodline" trait with cheats, they began to be drawn to each other much more than usual 😄

Even now I'm interested in how bonus and similar traits affect the attraction and preferences of characters 🤔

I was so inspired by sims of @kanonbreakerz , that I decided to recreate one of my sim in anime style. It wasn't my first attempt, and I can't say it turned out good or look alike… but it wasn't that bad either. I also wanted to convey the age difference between them.

"Eternal youth - a gift or a curse?"

For Polly, it could be a great gift, if she didn't have to be an "eternal preteen". Since she was cursed by the wishing well twice, her life has "slightly" gone downhill - she can't work full-time properly (she worked as a paranormal investigator and sometimes took on odd job from local residents), people consider her a child, and her uncontrollable emotions and fears because of this whole situation make one doubt the girl's maturity.

Another terrifying thing is that the culprit of her current situation is a very dangerous and suspicious magician, whose name sorcerers and local residents are still trying to forget. And he definitely doesn't want to leave her alone….

This knocked the ground out from under his feet - he really doubted his decision to become a Sage, especially if after winning he would have to leave his beloved all alone…. When there were 5 days left before the demonstration of the treasures, Quartz learned about the guy's plans and persuaded him to demonstrate at least 2 finished products so that his legacy would remain for future generations. And he agreed. So, through the "Chunky" jewelry and the "Raw" jewelry, he shared his dream of exploring the earthly world, sailing away with his beloved to distant beautiful lands, and then settling on a remote island and raising three cute childrens.

Of course, he considers other people's treasures beautiful, who would doubt it. It was for such an ideal lady that Jet dedicated his work of art from Crandestine found from nowhere, whose effect corresponds to his ideas about a "good deal". After all, this crystal literally brought him out of his state and made him give him all his savings. And what can a competent owner do with such decorations… It's better not to even know.

Tessie decided to create a piece of jewelry that would help spellcasters in their daily lives again, but she changed its content. For this, she decided to use Plumbite, whose property of slowly restoring the character's needs and making those around her happier inspired the lady to create her jewelry. All that was left was to come up with a suitable shape that would symbolize it. This was a little more difficult…. She searched for a long time in the sources for what symbol could personify "a person and his needs", until she suddenly remembered her late uncle's old plumb bob in a dusty box. The diamond-shape of the weight suddenly reminded the lady of an old belief about a same shaped green figure that hangs over their heads and connects them with "The Watcher", thus deciding the fate of the jewelry and creating the "Plumbob" treasure.

When Quartz looked at her favorite crystal, for some reason she remembered the legend of the enchanted lake, where swans gathered every night and turned into ordinary girls. They were enchanted by one evil wizard, who tried with all his might to win the hand and heart of the Queen of Swan. And although the ability to turn into a person was at least some salvation for these unfortunate creatures, in order to completely remove the spell, the bride and her lover had to sacrifice themselves and the life of the villain in order to free themselves. Is it possible to "inspire" anyone with happiness without these sacrifices? Yes, and it has even been available to spellcasters since ancient times. "Delicate" jewelry, which is as delicate and fragile as the prince's promise to love the Swan Princess until the end of his life, while, under the spell of an evil magician, proposing an engagement to a completely different person. However, it is so easy that you won’t even notice how you have become many times happier than before.

And the logical answer is her favourite plants, in particular her favorite cowplant from the earthly garden named Zoomy. This is how the "Botanical" jewelry appeared. "Get trapped by Mother Nature and merge with her!" When you put on these jewelry, you can expect a flow of flirtatious mood with an unusually powerful sense of calm. Perfect for the same "lonely hearts" like Tessie.

3."Starry Sailor": Silver + Turquoise. Author: Quartz Bird

Quartz often connects her works with stories and legends that she heard as a child. For the Mischievous Spellcaster, such works are a treasure box of ideas for mischievous spells. And for the elf, whose power is to manipulate the consciousness of others through dreams, these are also the part of her element, because those stories most likely came to their authors from the dreams and fantasies that she and her ancestors created over the centuries. Although the spellcasters considered the jewelry a rather cute gift for their lovers, Quartz put a different meaning into them. Turquoise is a symbol of protection and luck, allowing you to quickly find friends and allies in battle, and the shape was inspired by a distant story about cute warrior girls who, in the name of the "Power of Love", stood up to defend the Earth from space invaders. And although the legend has a beautiful ending, its main character had to go through a huge number of difficulties, including the death of her friends and lover, for the sake of a happy future. She wonder if anyone here has even heard of this story?

Ladies and gentlemen, an unplanned photo shoot of Sims with jewelry happened 😅…

The "Chrystal Creations" stuff pack started to feel only two days ago, when I had a urge to create a set of jewelry for one of the shops in the San Myshuno Mall. So I decided to create Sims that could create at least some of the combinations. But suddenly one story was born….

For a long time, spellcasters were looking for their own sources of energy to use magicial abilities. Despite the fact that such existed in the form of the Sun and the Moon, some of the inhabitants of the flying islands, stuck outside of time and space after the Rift of the Worlds, couldn't afford to use such Gifts of Nature. As a result, the souls of deceased spellcasters became an accessible source, who agreed to help their owner survive in such a difficult situation. Therefore, the tradition of using a ghost as an accessible magical source was strengthened among the sorcerers of the Old School and became a part of their life, even after the appearance of the portal to Earth. Disadvantages, however, made themselves known. Bad emotions and negative feelings now need to be locked away, because if, for example, anger engulfs a spellcaster completely, he will destroy not only other residents, but also himself. Poor residents sometimes became victims of the most powerful spellcaster in the Magic World. The previous generation was looking for ways to fix the situation in the Magic Realm and find a more accessible and safe source of spells, which turned out to be crystals.

Now, on this fine day (100 years ago), four virtuoso apprentices of the Magic Realm will gather to take the place of the previous Sages and become those who will lead its locals to the "crystal future". Their "treasures", which they will demonstrate today, will not only become public knowledge, but also examples for the mass production of energy sources that will become available in any form and in any way to all its inhabitants. While the sorcerers don't yet know what consequences they will have to face, and therefore they joyfully greet the following apprentices, whose images can be seen here:

Crystal: Quartz; Metal: Silver. "An elf and a representative of Mischievous magic. In general, she intends to become a powerful spellcaster, but suddenly her pessimistic nature has become quite passionate about gemology. She rushes from side to side, trying to make the jewelry of her dreams, while not understanding what shape will look best with her images."

Tessie Emerald

Crystal: Emerald; Metal: Platinum. "A representative of Practical magic, who is mostly a potion maker. The lady never planned to step onto the path of the Sage, and didn't plan to interact with sorcerers, but her skills in gemology and the quality of the jewelry that she made in her free time for sale in her shop were noticed by the locals and they involved her in the race for the title of "Great Sage"."

And the 5th participant is an ordinary detective from the present, who doesn't understand why she is here at all. She ended up here thanks to Jet, because he needed a model to demonstrate his own creations.

This girl hides many secrets that have not been revealed to this day. At the very least, it is still unknown what happened to the heroine after she decided to comprehend the "forbidden" magic of the soul, how her sister's realm fell into decline, and…. Does she really help new magical students after making a deal with the daughter of an influential courtier?…. Sweet enough to conquer with her sincerity and generosity. It is no wonder why she is already given the title of "Sorceress of Light" in the Magic Realm.
