society telling women they can’t take care of themselves 🤝but also telling them at the same to take care of an entire family and household 🧐 TRANSLATION⬇️⬇️⬇️ So much of our societies beliefs is based on complete paradoxes. Our belief that women are not “responsible” and can’t take care of themselves highlights the true level of infantilisation that happens amongst women living in the Middle East. We are reminded constantly that we are not children but treated as such until some sort of white knight is suppose to grace us into the “new life of wife and mother”. This level of infantilization is rooted in misogyny as A LOT of people in our society genuinely do not believe that women are full fledged humans until you are someone’s wife. Many people may see this as a diss towards the institution of marriage when in reality it is a diss towards the patriarchal system that all women live their life in. For the love of god just let women LIVE.🙌🏼 النساء دائماً يسمعون من المجتمع انهم ليست لهم القدرة على الاعتناء بنفسهم و يسمعون ايضاً ان لهم القدرة بالأعتناء و تكوين عائلة و بيت كامل. الكثير من معتقدات مجتمعاتنا مرتكزة على التناقض. معتقدنا بعدم قدرة النساء ب"تحمل المسؤولية" و الاعتناء بالنفس يسلط الضوء على معامله النساء كالأطفال في الشرق الأوسط. المجتمع دائما يذكر المرأة بأنها ليست طفلة و لكن يعاملها كطفلة، إلى أن يأتي فارس الأحلام ليكرمها إلى "حياة جديدة ك زوجة و ام". مستوى معامله المرأة كطفلة في مجتمعاتنا نابع من كراهية النساء لأن الكثير يعتقد ان المرأة ليست مخلوق كامل إلى ان تصبح زوجة احد. ممكن البعض يعتقد هذا المعتقد كره لفكرة الزواج و لكن الحقيقة انه كره للنظام الأبوي الذي تعيش فيه نساء هذه المجتمعات. خلوا النساء تعيش بسلام🙌🏼 (at Kuwait) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXljF7rMDnO/?utm_medium=tumblr
