UPDATE AFTER 84 YEARS :

    I owe an apology to everyone for disappearing from this blog . I had thought managing two muses would be easy but yaknow .  I had to get moved , everything kind of hit me at all once .   Levi is certainly more easier to write than Erwin is ( or ever will be for me personally )  && I am sorry for not updating you guys at all .  You can find me HERE for now . I’m still up for any interaction the only difference is that it’s Levi and not Erwin so don’t be afraid to interact ( dupes or not , mutuals or not I don’t care )  I’ll gather up what I owe && see how I feel about putting Erwin back in full swing .

      she has become the very THOUGHT he has dreamed.      a step forward in humanity.    a step forward to the TRUTH. hidden somewhere deep in the four walls built around them.  he had always dreamed of one day destroying it.  break the walls. break the idea that the ones printed on paper were to be erased. corrupt government that held this belief for so long.     && finally it has been BREACHED.  bestowed upon the shoulders of a youth.    could she even be considered such ?   having seen carnage up close.  having been thrown into a bloodline that even held the truth from her. he wonders    : was it out of protection ?  was it out of MALICE ?   surely her father would have known that she was the rebellion.   she was the one who would QUESTION. it had been evident that day she refused him.   that day he had told her of the concern if she were to be on the front lines.     she was to be QUEEN.   && she had made her move.  she had claimed her family name for her own.      she was fit to RULE.

     no longer were they forced to use the same weapons.  no longer did humanity go backwards.  ever since she had taken the throne she pushed forward.    technology began to move.  humanity began to progress. his dream though an obsession was BECOMING.    the day of his reckoning in throws.   it had been some time since they last crossed paths.   some time since he had last seen the young woman.   now she stands before him.  upon her head a crown of silver.   upon her shoulders the similar ideal.   humanity rests between them   && they must balance each end.    arm comes up. he makes the salute. a proper bow before a QUEEN he is happy to be under.    lies && malice did not lay within her when it came to the legion. she was not an ENEMY among them but a friend.   he will not last much longer.   his fate had been sealed the day his limb was meet with JAWS.     but it is this passing he will make his statement.  words have passed a simply ask of how they were doing.     what have they accomplished with her now in control ?  but even the royalty doesn’t hesitate.    the words seem to echo the thought that lingered in all of them.  the ones who have seen && lived in the very wake of humanity on the brink of destruction.

              will this war ever end ?

                  tone is firm.    whether it is an empty promise. or one that will hold true. he answers.

      heart becomes compromised.   she is a CURE bred from a saint meant to be savior.  everlasting youth   :    she will die young.  eyes are dead. colorless. body is not of her own making she is controlled. the very virus that has plagued man-kind has taken root.           she is a parasite. a host.  skin complexion has faded to grey  && she is nothing but ASH.  logic weighs the scales against emotion. a little girl not meant to meet the TEETH of poison   && there is a hollow cast in her rib cage. torn apart and no longer is there beating within her chest. it is broken.    much like her. she moves slow. jagged. she is blind by HUNGER. it will never be sated no matter how much she feasts. no matter who she feasted upon.     they don’t have the heart.     they believe they can save her.    but she is long gone.

             he is compromised.    the young girl who tried to find beauty in the carnage.  who still fought because to her. if you didn’t win. you lose.    it leads him to wonder. did she fight ? was her strength not enough ?  it is evident. she has lost.  chunks of flesh missing where her demise was met.   her skin falling from the bone junction of her shoulder && throat.     her screams still echo in his mind.   her screams will always haunt him.     she moves.  hands slowly reaching out.  she plans to grab him. ensnare him.      eat him.    still there is a bit of distance between them.   and the trigger.  it is heavy in his hand. the very weapon that has shot many humans.     && yet now it becomes stone. he has shot adults.    children that have been turned in these… things he has left alone.  why ?   perhaps there was a sick morale in this new world.

         he cannot let her suffer.    those the eyes of the youth were long gone. there is a pleading.     late night spent just the day before. had she for seen her ending ?                              ❛     you won’t let me perish will you ? ❜ ❛     we will always be here.  ❜

     an empty promise built of false hope.     he had BETRAYED her  && this is the consequence.   his eye steady.  focused. his hand unwavering. finger set. logic has become emotion  && a single gun shot rings.    it is both an ending && beginning.    a gurgle. the sound of a scream only they can produce && she falls.     she dies a second time.   it is then he feels it.  FAILURE. the key to survival.    to restarting a whole human race.   she is DEAD.   in the distance he hears them.   a horde.  alarmed by the gunshot. he doesn’t waste time. as he moves to run he pauses. sentiment will prove yet to be his down fall.    red covers him.    in cotton of a blood stained scarf.   he will not let her perish.    they would all be joining her soon.

STRINGER && POET .    headcanon that Mikasa’s && Erwin’s interactions vary far different than Zoe && Levi.    he is more a dad figure in this Zombie AU. while he does believe delivering her is TOP PRIORITY he does want to try && help her still see that while this world they live in is ROT there are still some things that can be found in the darkest of times.   : I won’t lie. I’ve headcanon’d before I made it public about this AU I’ve been wanting that ( I guess it depended on age ) he would honestly end up being a dad of sorts. walking can get tiring especially for a younger child  && Erwin would try his best in this AU to make it a game of sorts with him carrying whoever. bc again like in canon to me, he isn’t serious 24/7. he is human && like all humans he does experience laughter && happiness.   represented in icon one    :   headcanon that upon first meeting Erwin would shake her hand && promptly introduce himself as someone who she can either trust or not. While this is an AU, I want to stick close to canon Erwin && he wouldn’t force it upon her to follow them but he would rely the reality that while she seems capable, it is better to work in groups especially concerning large hordes.     represented in icon two   :  as explained above. but more so think of that icon being them in a situation that turns into disaster. then compare to that the scene when Erwin relays to the legion to push forward to retrieve Eren. In this AU, mikasa is again the up most concern && what happens to them ( while it does matter deeply ) Erwin understands that if need be, he && ( assuming both hange && zoe are on the same page ) will have to be sacrificed if it means getting her to safety in general. whoever is closet to her ( but for the sake of the HC ) if he was closet to her, he would instantly just carry her && get her the hell of the situation because she’s the cure.

I wasn’t sure if perhaps I made it too light for Erwin’s character but I was trying to have it reflect him canonically considering he has passed && he did so with honor. so I made it in a remembrance kind of way I guess ?? Having positive feedback on it definitely makes me feel better about the chose I made ! Thanks !

writer.honestly I’m just a trash panda.   but this is very sweet of you ! I often wish my writing was better but what can ya do shrugs.   but pro tip :  read poetry.   I honestly read a lot of poetry when I need to get into a writing mood && it truly helps out greatly !   Aspire to become the Jedi so you may win the battle of Hogwarts && eventually rule them all with one ring. idk where I was going with that honestly but thank you again ! I feel so weird knowing my writing inspires someone but it’s a good feeling ! definitely makes me more confident.

UM FORGET ANON LOL did i ever tell you that you're literally one of two erwin's i follow? bc lowkey but not lowkey i'm picky about the shingekis i follow and i love your portrayal sm that i have to have you on my dash in some capacity, i've been stalking the shit out of you for a while. i think you understand erwin to depths most people don't, and you take your time to bring those forward and to let your readers know rather than make assumptions abt his character.

over all, it’s obvious you really respect him and took the time and the effort to show everyone who he really is rather than being the OnHonHon Fandom Sex God who exists solely to Suck Levi’s Dick and to send people to their deaths, you show people that erwin is somebody worth appreciating. so thanks 👍

writer.WELL SHIT.   I am picky too && honestly I’m not even sorry about it.  BUT HONESTLY. so glad this actually comes across because that’s one of the MAJOR things I really want people to start thinking about && understanding.  like no he’s not nazi  && no he isn’t heartless. I want them to understand that he is very complex && having to become leader ? That means having to watch friends && comrades alike die without breaking down. he is the main strong hold. I can only think about when he got his arm bit off && how he didn’t dare divert from the single mission of getting Eren back regardless.    bless you Vicky for sending this because real talk ( && even though I sent it yesterday ) You really do inspire me to understand characters more better  &&  just in general want to write.  BUT ALSO. No fuck the fanon version of Erwin. idk where they get these ideas when they have giant ass cannibal humanoids who eat them for the pure pleasure of gluttonous. SHRUGS. but thanks again for this ♥
