A short clip from a BCEFA video at the Red Bucket Follies. The clip appears to be when Merrily won the award for being the top fundraiser this season, and Daniel Radcliffe and Leana Rae Concepcion ran on to the stage to hug Jonathan.

Sondheim forever (in a discussion of Sweeney Todd, Merrily and Here We Are)
Most of Stephen Sondheim’s musicals were marginal financial successes or outright flops in their original productions. But in this second post-Sondheim year, it’s been hit after hit...
Then, in the fall, came the gleaming Broadway transfer of “Merrily We Roll Along” from New York Theater Workshop. After what seemed like zillions of attempts by many hands to fix that 1981 show, the director Maria Friedman figured it out, locating its long-lost core in Jonathan Groff’s mesmerizing, furious performance. (He’d make a great Sweeney.)
Washington Post
3. ‘Merrily We Roll Along’
Give me Sondheim, and plenty of him. But better, show me something about Stephen Sondheim’s work that I didn’t grasp before. Director Maria Friedman accomplished exactly that, first at New York Theatre Workshop in the East Village, and then at the Hudson Theatre on Broadway, in a revival of the 1981 musical by the composer-lyricist, with a book by writer George Furth that effectively erases “flawed” from the show’s bio. By infusing it with genuine heart, courtesy of a cast headed by Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez, Friedman told the story (backward, chronologically) of the death of a friendship with irresistible insight, and passion.

I’ve never had this experience particularly with these two. I’m feeling so much love and admiration and respect and at the same time, it feeling like family… it’s crazy.

something that I think NO ONE talks about enough is Daniel Radcliffe and the absolute wackass journey his acting career has been on
like this man essentially started his career playing one of the most iconic franchise protagonists ever for almost TEN YEARS - I mean he’d practically spent half his life in that role by the time the movies were over, and you would think that would set him off on a path to be kind of typecast as The Hero or like a great protagonist for a long time or something
and the funniest thing is, that he DID get typecast, but in like the complete opposite direction
like you look at him now and pretty much for the past six years or so this man has played approximately one character and it’s “Funky Little Nerd Who is Definitely Going About This the Wrong Way”
and I am absolutely LIVING for it
