Yeah, and since in my case the leader of the team is a high-elf who sometimes gets a bit too dagger happy I'd say he's got every reason in the world to be exhausted.
We'll be fine dad, we'll be fine. Trust me, welcome to the team.
Halsin joining our camp to see that the guy who played with the tiefling kids is now a devil, some pasty elf is biting people in their sleep, a githyanki and goth girl are slapfighting, there's a tiefling on fire, and that wizard just ate a pair of gloves.

This is so accurate to the point that I'm almost slightly offended by it.
Now I do it with practised ease though.
I surely can't be the only one in this

Might I humbly suggest you turning it off, permanently?

I don't know, how about switching it off?

In China we specified the type of the bird: birds of prey. I believed the phrase that got the same meaning developed independently here during Tang dynasty. 一箭双雕,meaning shoot two eagles with one arrow. There's 一石二鸟 too, translates literally to kill two birds with one stone so I guess this is the imported one.

‘Kill two birds with one stone’ in European languages.

I can't vote but since I really want to go back to the states and finish college this is very much my election too so here are my desperate two cents.
Take the senile one over Chucky, he can do significantly less damage and the world in general would be a bit safer. No one enjoys living through a horror show.
Look.
I have made you a chart. A very simple chart.
People say "You have to draw the line somewhere, and Biden has crossed it-" and my response is "Trump has crossed way more lines than Biden".
These categories are based off of actual policy enacted by both of these men while they were in office.
If the ONLY LINE YOU CARE ABOUT is line 12, you have an incredible amount of privilege, AND YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT PALESTINIANS. You obviously have nothing to fear from a Trump presidency, and you do not give a fuck if a ceasefire actually occurs. You are obviously fine if your queer, disabled, and marginalized loved ones are hurt. You clearly don't care about the status of American democracy, which Trump has openly stated he plans to destroy on day 1 he is in office.

again, so it doesn't get buried.
Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

So I was watching this old video again because the new Good Omens season triggered my obsession with Neil Gaiman's stories that creeps up periodically ( and his voice is soothing to listen to while I draw) And at about 1:25:30 there's a part that really made me giggle, cause this is what he says when asked about themes in his work:
"I remember once somebody asked me about the kiss that would occur in my books three quarters of the way through, to indicate that we were now moving into act three. And I said 'what'. And they said 'well you must be conscious of it, you do it every time.'"
And I mean...

The show I want to see David Tennant and Michael Sheen co-star in once GO is complete: They each play a cop in neighboring towns. Each of them is also secretly a serial killer who goes to the town over to commit their murders in order to avoid detection. There’s a third serial killer killing in both towns that causes them to have to team up. So they’re both trying to find the third serial killer together while also trying to catch each other separately. Obviously this ends with them falling in love and when they find out they’re each other’s serial killers they decide to pin all the murders on the third killer. The third killer turns out to be Neil Gaiman.
#so basically….plot ex machina Neil#I wasn’t on board until I read to the end#now this is the only thing I wanna watch
