i feel like we as a digital society have forgotten the important rules of the internet
Don't feed the trolls
Never give out personal information
Anonymity is the best defense
Don't click suspicious links
Don't click popups and ads
Just because it's written doesn't mean it's true
You are responsible for your own experience
There is porn of everything, act accordingly

A few more:
The monster can't be seen or touched but in it's presence everything in a given area will suddenly appear much redder in color. Almost as if someone turned on a red light but with no identifiable source.
The being is always the tallest thing you can see by at least a foot. If it's by a tree it's taller. If it's by a building it'll be taller. If it's by a mountain it's still taller. It can still fit into smaller rooms if necessary. However, it never appears to shrink or grow. It's just always a bit taller then anything else.
A living sound that can range from an almost unnoticeable hum to a deafening BOOM. It can communicate with people but never in a recognizable language.
Ideas for eldritch beings that aren't just tentacle monsters:
A perfectly round white hole in the world. It doesn't appear effected by light, or shadow. It can move around freely and sometimes swallows people into it but they never come out.
The monster's true form is so alien to the human mind that the human brain will actually "misremember" it as something more familiar. This also means it almost never appears as the same thing to the same people even if they see it at the exact same time. Ex. A very religious person might remember it was a ferocious demon but a sci-fi fanatic might remember it as a gray alien.
The monster naturally compels people to look away from it. Even if it's standing right in front of them, the person will be drawn to any other spot in the room. Even if someone WANTS to see it, they'll be overwhelmed with a intense instinctual feeling not to. Trying too hard to look directly at it can result in insanity and even death.
A low polygon man. The monster takes the form of a human but it's not very good at it. It's appearance resembles early video game characters like from the PS2, but in real life.
An impossibly large intelligent swarm of insects.

It’s more comforting to convince yourself that all men are assholes then it is to face reality which is that your ex boyfriend wasn’t destined to become an asshole but for a variety of complicated societal and personal reasons he ended up that way anyways even though he could’ve chosen to not be an asshole

umamusume should have a full contact version of racing. I'm thinking roller derby meets MMA meets track. And Rice Shower should get to throw her knife at the other girls.

Distaste is not (inherently) condemnation. I think this is important to understand on both sides of the coin. It's something which is very relevant to my experience as someone who's aroacespec, and something which is very relevant generally to a lot of topics. On the one hand, this means that no matter how much you personally dislike something, you have to be okay with that thing existing (assuming it's something materially harmless). You should not denounce and judge a thing simply based on your dislike of it. On the other, it means that sometimes people will dislike and even be disgusted by the things you like and take pride in, and you have to be okay with it. They will be put off by things that are quite normal and things that are very niche and everything in between. And as long as they are not advocating for or otherwise contributing towards that thing being censored or banned, or being rude to you for no reason, you have to suck it up. I think that the things I find gross and weird and am utterly repulsed by should be allowed to exist, and people should be allowed to engage with them. I also think I should be allowed to find it gross and weird without being strung up for puritanism and prudishness and what have you. I don't always feel like being endlessly placating. You don't need my approval and I don't need yours. Let's simply coexist in mutual distaste, we don't need to do anything about it.

For me, censorship laws are a lot like the death penalty. There are people I wish would die, but I don't want the government to have any say over who lives or dies (because then they can stretch laws out to justify killing someone they dont like). There are stories that I think are reprehensible and should have never been written, but I don't want the government to have any say over which stories are reprehensible (because then they can stretch out what they deem wrong out to fit anything they don't like)

On the other hand, all these crackdowns of adult content on the internet could really revitalized the porn-mags left in random spots in woods industry.

Music from the 70s to 80s is like "Oh, I've been listening to bits of this in the background for years but I don't know if I've actually ever sat down and really listened to it". Then you do and suddenly it's like: Ogh I've been listening to this in the background FOR YEARS.
#music#maybe it's just me#specifically with Fleetwood Mac#like I don't remember the first time I heard it#Cause it was always just kinda there#on the radio#being played by my parents#in movies and commercials#I have never lived in a world without Fleetwood Mac
