Sooo, @corgiloafcosplay maaaay have inspired me to make myself a UY character and for the fun of it, we made her into the cousin of her twins Yuri and Yuna! For the hell of it, we decided that Yuki (despite being a cousin) is remarkably similar looking to the twins that people often mistake them for triplets 😂

Found an aaaancient sketch of Peregrine and felt the urge to redraw him and then Devonne decided to join in on the fun.

Three references for some of my TMNT/Triceraton characters.

Iviana, with her dog Oshka, the leader of the Hellhounds and a former gladiator. Paramonos, one of the nurses of the gang and a former Triceraton Republic soldier. Dubhsláine, general gang member (who sometimes doubles as a bartender whenever the gang wishes to celebrate) and a former bouncer.

I’m surprisingly proud of these and they gave me the chance to give Aolira and Alaer the redesign I had planned since I decided to make them Mandalorians.

Another one of my original characters, this time it’s Conláed!

He underwent his customary redesign that happens pretty much every single time I draw him. For once, however, I feel kinda happy with his design.

Two original characters of mine that I redesigned earlier in the year. Kimberlee “Kim” Faerstrom and Pentti Jokela.

Kim is one of many non-humans in Notturno crime family and Pentti of Pellentesque Interfectores.

I realised I never posted this here when I had drawn it back in August. I notice some issues now that I didn’t see then. But it’s a sketch and I might come back to it at some point.

My humanised TF Beat, who also has creeped into the SW universe as the Nautolan Beatu Sozo.

I decided to try and give my Togruta/Zabrak character Iviana Vadash a redesign with a little more Zabrak feel than her previous design.

So. Last week I stumbled across my very first reference sheet for this character and got the urge to do a redraw. I also got the urge to genderswap ‘em and thus Markku Autti became Marjukka Autti, but most people think that she’s a he by the name of Markku.

I’ll be working more on the ref before I start lining and colouring.

The hilarious moment when I realised that I first drew this character in 2014, the next time was in 2018 (started on a new ref) and now in 2022 I make a new ref again. Every fourth year.

The file known as; MJ shamelessly adds more Transformers characters of theirs to the Star Wars universe.

Bluzanth Der, Muse Teksa, Liasterope Blic, Cylee Der, Sicanthi Dime and Des Anaun.

It started off with me wanting to see what a couple of them would look like in the SW universe and then, to my non-surprise, they all have ended up as legit characters. Bluzanth, Muse and Cylee were the only ones that I had already decided would become SW characters, then Liasterope, Sicanthi and Des decided that they’d join too.

Drawing has been hard these past several months and this is the first decent thing I have drawn since… I can’t even remember. Burnouts are awful things.

Anyway, meet Zilk Niis! She is trans and she is a heavy infantry Mando and I can barely wait until I get the motivation to draw a full body ref for her.

Burnout, and recovery

So, I’ve been rather dead here for quite a while now.

Last year I began my steady downward spiral toward burnout, I’m quite certain that it is due to work. There was a lot of never-ending stress and more and more responsibilities put on my shoulders.

I honestly couldn’t get sick without knowing that it was very likely that no one would operate my machine while I was gone (hazard of being the only “expert” of the Centateq E-310) and that I would then have to work fast to keep the schedule once I returned. I had to teach an apprentice (for the second time for the same machine) and had to help him so many times whenever he struggled or forgot something. I was always the one they gave new and complicated orders to test out, because apparently they didn’t “trust the guys as much” to do it well. Stress, stress, stress.

It started to seep into my free time, I was so exhausted from work that I began neglecting my home. I honestly couldn’t make myself clean much at all, I struggled with doing the dishes, it was irritatingly difficult to do my laundry (emptying the washing machine was another struggle) and I needed hours to even gather the energy to make food.
