S.o.F.T. #8 - End of S.o.F.T.
Smorgasbord of Fun Things, that's a name full. This was all started when I was in high school, I can't have been older than 15, and I'm definitely not that same child anymore.
I'm leaving everything up because clearly I wanted to post it years ago, but I'll probably edit/revise everything eventually.
A LOT has changed since highschool, eventually I'll tell you about it. For now though I'm just reclaiming my account

This time you picked a good lie This time you lie the righteous lie This time you lie for truth This time... But it’s a habit, just a little lie here or there. And ā€œthis timeā€ it’s ok Last time you picked the good lie Last time you lied the righteous lie Last time you lied for truth Last time... But it’s a habit, just a little lie here or there. And ā€œlast timeā€ it was ok Next time you won’t pick the good lie Next time you won’t lie the righteous lie Next time you won’t lie for truth But it’s a habit, just a little lie here or there. And ā€œnext timeā€ it won’t be ok

What is love to the lonely?
What is love to the restless?
What is love to the afraid?
What is love?
To the lonely love is company,
Someone who will never leave
A person which you can turn to
To the restless love is calm
Something which will never cease
A peace which you can lean on
To the afraid love is confidence,
Somehow knowing it will get better
A strength which you won’t lose
Love is wonder
Sometimes it may feel wrong
A feeling that you belong

S.o.F.T. Poetry 5
Stone will chip and wood will splinter
Metal will bend and glass will shatter
Place all the worth you want in life, since nothing matters
The day will come when days are done
The time will come when time is done
Place all the worth you want in love, since nothing is fun
Stories will end, people will die
Legacies don’t last and civilizations will fall
Place all the worth you want in happiness, since nothing lasts at all
But if all that’s true then why do we matter
And if nothing matters how can we be
And if everything matters, how don’t we notice

S.o.F.T. Poetry 4
How do you know If you love someone How do you know If you found the one
Does your pulse skyrocket? Do you hands get sweaty Do you words get mixed up? Do you feel new feelings?
How do you know If someone loves you How do you know If you are their one
Do you get nervous? Do you get happy? Do you get afraid? Do you get confused?
How do you know If you love someone How do you know If you found the one
You take a chance

S.o.F.T. Poetry 3
It’s such a simple choice, when your have bread you eat it It’s such a simple choice But if it’s such a simple choice how come it’s so hard? When I’m given help I don’t accept When I’m given love I don’t take it When I’m given friends I don’t embrace them
It’s such a simple choice when you’re given food you eat, when you get water you drink, when you get shelter you live
The things of life I take, I choose a life, I choose to live Yet life is so hollow When the things of love I don’t take

S.o.F.T. Poetry 2
Failure, not meeting your goals
Failure, not being perfect
Failure, not succeeding
Failure, not the dream
Failure, not ideal
Failure is all that, but it’s so much more
Failure can be the fiercest enemy
Failure can be the greatest teacher
Failure is so much more, but it’s all that
Failure, is an opportunity to grow
Failure, is a second start
Failure, is a chance to change
Failure, is not the end
Failure, is changeable
Failure…

S.o.F.T. Poetry 1
The focus shifts to you
When you walk into the room
You only have one chance
When you walk into the room
You walk in with confidence
Then suddenly everything changes
You face the stares of all
Opinions fill the air
The first impression is made
When you walk into the room
Set in stone unchanging
When you walk into the room
No one truly knows you
But everyone wants to guess
An opinion based on nothing
Yet no one seems to care
So stand your ground with confidence
When you walk into the room
A first impression never changes
When you walk into the room
