catching up with posse content has been so great i just spent the last half hour staring at that one panel from dice and otome meeting. its 5 am. if i think too much about how dice is only 20 i start getting nauseous

no cause i dont think people fully understand how crazy gentaros new solo is. the fact it barely bothers to be a poem let alone a song is what makes it so good like

thats obviously the most honest, vulnerable and "him" gentaro ever allowed himself to be, and when he does that, theres no semblance left to any earlier songs. all the lyricism and wordplay he used to use are a reference to gentaro the author, who lives as his brother. all the bite and sarcasm on his voice used as a weapon against his opponents on the battles are from gentaro who (initially) joined fling posse for convenience and as means to an end.

when not performing these roles, when allowing himself to be his own person, gentaro has... nothing. he harbors no particular passion for either rap or poetry, and the whole thing reads more as a confession than anything else. the lyrics for the pv are just the same verses repeated over and over in a monotone tone over a instrumental that does little to keep up with it; its such a numbing loneliness.

theres so much missing to be a proper song, yes, because thats how gentaro feels as a person. adding anything else would make it more palatable and interesting for us, the outsiders, but it would be dishonest to his true self. isnt this what hes done all those years?
