HYUKOH~

Hyukoh (혁오) is a South Korean indie band. The band consists of leader, singer, and guitarist Oh Hyuk, bassist Im Dong-geon, guitarist Lim Hyun-jae, and drummer Lee In-woo. Hyukoh have been recognized for their attention to the band's visual aesthetic which I personally find unique and creative. Their song Hey sun (currently playing) gives me major spring vibes, although the song itself is about waiting and the recurrent routine that follows it. This song helps me imagine how the future will be different from now and how many opportunities lie ahead, but also just keeps my mood calm during the weeks that pass. Cool band, unique music, definitely recommend to check out!~

SE SO NEON~

Se So Neon 새소년(“New Youngsters”, borrowed their name from a children's magazine published in the 1960's) is a South Korean indie rock band consisting of members Hwang So-yoon, U-su and Park Hyun-jin. Their music was one of the best finds of mine this year. A lot of SE SO NEON songs give me a nostalgic yet hopeful feeling. One of those tracks being Midnight Train 심야행 (Currently playing). Although SE SO NEON have been somewhat noticed in their home country I think this band definitely deserves way more attention than they get. Can’t wait to see what else they’ll bring us in the future!~
