Samuel turns around and rushes towards the oven, meanwhile i just turn and tried to unlock the handle of the door which was right next to me and see a women lying on the bed dressed so exquisite.  I was just shaken at this point and had no words to utter, i just turn towards Samuel and splutter by saying, so you had any parties at your new apartment, he turns around and looks at me and the door being open, he just rushes towards me and says yeah i threw a party last week which was great and shows a note saying why? why did you open the door, i said not to and also i couldn’t talk like this anymore the guy who is watching on the camera will get to know about this, i just said looks like you haven’t invited your close friends at your party, maybe you have forgotten them or just avoided them willingly, and i show him a note, who is she, and Samuel anguishly looks at me and says, if you are mentioning about you then the answer is no i have not been ignoring you, its you who is been avoiding me all these years, i’ve been trying to reach out to you all these years, but you just say i got work will catch you later some other time or you just don’t answer my calls or respond to my texts replies Samuel with brimming tears, at this moment i was just flabbergasted and was out of words of how to respond to this, i should have been there for him, for my friend who needed me the most, i had this guilt sensation running through my body all of a sudden, and i replied you’re right i should have been there for you, and i show him a note saying just wait here i’ll be back, i respond to Samuel saying, umm wait up i forgot something and rushed out to the door and went looking for the power unit and turned off the power outlet and rushed back again to Samuel’s apartment and locked the door and start to rip of the cable wire of the cameras that were installed, Samuel tries to stop me over and yells stop i will be in trouble, i just say to him, its not just your problem anymore, and say i have cut the power outlet for now, before someone turns them on, i have to rip of these cables.

On the other side, there is this restuarent and Henry just casually seated at the corner seat looking at his laptop and sees the camera being disconnected, he just smiles at it and says, “AND THE GAME BEGINS”…….

Few minutes later, Henry gets up from the couch and says, “alright Samuel, i’ll make a move now, but will be back in a few minutes. keep an eye on the turkey in the oven, clock is ticking” and he just looks at me nods his head and walks away and i noticed his eyes have turned into jet black in colour which terrified me. I was just awestruck at this point, as soon as the man leaves, Samuel starts shaking vigorously at this point and starts to sweat all over his face, i asked him are you alright and is everything fine, he says yes, i turn over him and said no you’re not  because of the looks of it everything that is happening right now looks like you’re  into some kind of mess, he stares at the ceiling of his house and just pulls me around the corner of the pillar and writes a note on in a piece of paper saying, don’t freak out, don’t talk, don’t look suspicious and just divert by talking something else to the things i’m about to say to you, i was just confused and asked him what is go….he just shuts my mouth and shows me the note that says divert by talking something else to the things i’m about to say, i just say what is so good about this apartment you moved in here, Samuel just replies nothing, the place is huge compared to the other and shows me the note, the house is been bugged with cameras installed and i say oh this place is huge eh, and just murmur what? Samuel replies mehhh this place looks the same to me the hall is quite big and the kitchen is spacious and again shows me the note, there are still 2 more people in this house, 1 in that room and 1 on the other, at this point i was so confused and hesitated, it felt like i was about to punch Samuel and say quit stalling, but i understood the seriousness and tension with his voice and his eyes just turned to bloody red and his body still shaking, i just said alright show me around your new apartment, he just pushes me to the pillar stares at me again and nods his head horizontally, i replied oh looks like the turkey is about to burn if you don’t have a look at it,

CICADA IN LIMBO

BASED ON TRUE EVENTS

It was a breezy day and I was walking by my Nana's house and across the street I met my cousin after a very long time, we had a little chit chat and left the place a few while later, I reached my Nana's house and she was happy to see me there at her place, later by she had prepared this amazing dessert for me, a few while later I ran by my phone and I was looking through my contact lists and all of a sudden I receive a text msg from one of my close friend who lives close by in an apartment asking me to drop by at his place at 8:51pm sharp apartment 216, I had no idea of why did he mention his apartment number 216, as i have known him for the past few years, his apartment was 213, and specifically at 8:51pm he asked me to stop by, which was wierd, i had all these questions running on my mind, i never replied to his text, just thought to surprise him, now this is the part where i never realised my life is going to turn upside down if I hadn't gone to my friend's place over that night.

I went by his apartment and knocked on his door twice and there was no response, I tried to knock again and the doorknob slowly opens and i see a man with a mask on him asking me who was this, i was shocked seeing some stranger in my friends house, i replied saying I’m Roman, a friend of Samuel, the man just takes off his mask and gives me this death smile on his face and asks me to come on in saying, “i��m Henry a friend of Samuel, he is just right inside, so come on in” i was a bit hesitant to go inside as i have never seen this man before my entire life and what was he doing here at my friend’s house and i hear a voice from far from the kitchen saying, Roman come on in and it was my friend Samuel’s voice, i was a bit relived because i thought i was about to walk in to weird stranger’s apartment, hearing my friend’s voice and realising that this was indeed his apartment was a bit relieving and shocking at the same time, i walk past the man and went by to Samuel and he just hugs me tears filled around his eyes, and he said It is great to have you here, i replied it is great to see you Samuel, but who is the man across the room and what are you doing in this apartment, as you live at 213, Samuel stumbles to talk and he just stares me dead in the eye, i just changed the apartment and this is my friend, i asked Samuel “alright why is he being weird and his  smile was that of a lunatic”, Samuel stared me dead in the eye again as if he has seen a ghost and asks me, was he not wearing a mask, i replied saying, yes he did and he removed it right away as soon as i mentioned my name and that’s when he gave this freakish smile at me, Samuel tilts over to look at this man, there he was just sitting on a couch watching TV with his mask on.
