✣ PERSONALITY
Skuld is a kind hearted recluse by experience but observant by nature. As a Norn (Norse Fate) of the future, it's easy for her to give subtle advice to friends and loved ones but as a Valkyrie with the ability to step in if a life is in danger, she tries not to involve herself deeply in one's mortal fate. Knowing a person's eventual doom keeps her from making lifelong connections and getting a good night's sleep.
To pass the time, Skuld studies herbology and hopes to open her own apothecary someday to aid mortals, of good intention, in need.
With a deep respect of time, she's not one to waste it and so naturally doesn't mince words in conversation though never intends to be insulting. She adores all animals, finding their company less exhausting.
Physically, she's petite but surprisingly athletic and though doesn't boast, can wield almost any weapon with ease. Naturally skilled and graceful, her breathing and movements remain gentle enough to unintentionally blend into any environment unnoticed.
✣ BACKSTORY
Skuld unconsciously is returned to the mortal world, free from the double pressures of a Norse Fate and Valkyrie, but is not without her abilities.
Unsure why she's been given time off from her duties, she doesn't question the opportunity to brave a few personal adventures from the safety of her cottage in the mountains.
Having existed almost as long as Odin himself, Skuld has bouts of memory loss. Before she obtained a fear of commitment, she lived a rich love life with many lovers past. ...What were their names?

✣ Mun Rules for RP
.
Be the storyteller, not the muse.
Roleplay is a hobby based on fictional characters, not real life.
.
✣ Artistic License
There are no perfect rules with how to roleplay. You do you what makes you happy and I’ll do what makes me happy. As a living breathing human being with feelings and a life, there will be times I miss a thread, lose interest in a thread, or fall off the face of the planet. I apologize ahead of time if that happens between our muses.
✣ Selective Rights
I have the right to be selective with whom I rp with. Any ignorant anon hate or high school behavior will be immediately deleted or ignored, so don’t waste either of our time. Thank you.
✣ Vices
Please do not roleplay suicide, manic depression, or other serious mental illnesses with this muse. From experience, this has rarely been roleplayed respectfully and it makes mun and muse very uncomfortable and somewhat annoyed. Do not romanticize mental illness. It’s a basic respect. Those that are actually living through it each and every day thank you.
✣ NSFW
YES PLEASE. Be it gore, law breaking, swearing, or good ol’ fashioned smut. However, this will written under a read more or kept in direct/private/instant messaging and you must be 18+. I don’t care what your specific country’s age of consent is, my rule is 18+. Thank you.
Still here? GREAT! You’ve made my Christmas Card List. Now go send me a starter!

✣ Backstory & Lore
Goddess, Skuld Norn, unconsciously is returned to the mortal world, free from the double pressures of a Norse Fate and Valkyrie, but is not without her abilities.
Unsure why she's been given time off from her duties, she doesn't question the opportunity to brave a few personal adventures from the safety of her mountain cottage.
Having existed almost as long as Odin himself, Skuld has bouts of memory loss. Before she obtained a fear of commitment due to knowing too much, she lived a rich love life with many lovers past. ...What were their names?
✣ Skuld - A Valkyrie and Norn Ambiguity
Skuld is somewhat of an enigma in the Old Norse religion due to the lack of literature written by the Norse people rather than later medieval Christians. Skuld is attested as the name of both a Valkyrie and a Norn, and it is not unlikely that this Valkyrie and Norn were one and the same entity. Both are described as women with a hand in deciding the fate of men and gods. So, although it is possible that they were separate individuals, it should not be assumed. There is not a distinctive instance in which Skuld is explicitly stated as both a Norn and a Valkyrie except by Snorri Sturluson, the medieval author of the Prose Edda . A translation of the text reads:
"These are called Valkyrs: them Odin sends to every battle; they determine men's feyness and award victory. Gudr and Róta and the youngest Norn, she who is called Skuld, ride ever to take the slain and decide fights." (Sacred-Texts.com)

✣ Skuld as a Norn
There are three Norns (Old Norse: “Nornir”) in Norse mythology.Their names are Urd “What Once Was” (Old Norse “Urðr”), Verdandi “What Is Coming into Being” (Old Norse “Verðandi”) and Skuld “What Shall Be” (Old Norse “Skuld”), the three Norns are the Goddesses of fate. https://norse-mythology.net/norns-the-goddesses-of-fate-in-norse-mythology/
What is a Norn? The Norns (Old Norse: norn, plural: nornir) in Norse mythology are female beings who rule the destiny of gods and men.
They roughly correspond to other controllers of humans' destiny, the Fates, elsewhere in European mythology. In Snorri Sturluson's interpretation of the Völuspá, Urðr (Wyrd), Verðandi and Skuld, the three most important of the Norns, come out from a hall standing at the Well of Urðr or Well of Fate. They draw water from the well and take sand that lies around it, which they pour over Yggdrasill so that its branches will not rot.
These three Norns are described as powerful maiden giantesses (Jotuns) whose arrival from Jötunheimr ended the golden age of the gods. They may be the same as the maidens of Mögþrasir who are described in Vafþrúðnismál.

✣ Skuld as a Valkyrie
Skuld is mentioned in Völuspá, a poem collected in the 13th century Poetic Edda: She saw valkyries come from far and wide, ready to ride to Goðþjóð. Skuld held a shield, and Skögul was another, Gunnr, Hildr, Gönduland Geirskögul. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skuld
What is a Valkyrie? Valkyrie means “chooser of the slain”. Divine shield maidens sometimes called Walachuria, servants of Odin, whose principal role was to select brave fallen warriors and take them to dwell in Valhalla.
They would descend from the sky on horses and garbed in the feathers of swans that allow them to fly. Wearing sturdy iron chain mail that fell to their knees and helmets, they carried brightly shining spears, also the preferred weapon of Odin, and appeared drenched in blood.
Making guttural battle cries as they flew over the battlefield, which struck both awe and terror into the hearts of mortal warriors. As a result of their role in picking over the dead on the battlefield, they were also sometimes represented by carrion-eating ravens.
